Ezekiel 23
1 Angraeng ih lok kai khaeah angzoh,
The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
2 kami capa, amno maeto ih canu, nongpata hnetto oh.
Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother:
3 Nihnik loe Izip prae ah tangzat to a zawh hoi; nawksai nathuem hoiah ni tangzat to a zawh hoi boeh; to ah anih to tahnu panamh pae o, tangla hnik ih tahnu mong to ahnoih pae o.
And they committed whoredoms in Egypt; they committed whoredoms in their youth: there were their breasts pressed, and there they bruised the teats of their virginity.
4 Amza kacoeh ih ahmin loe Aholah, tiah sak moe, amnawk nongpata ih ahmin loe Aholibah, tiah sak; nihnik loe kai ih hmuen ah oh hoi moe, capanawk hoi canunawk a sak hoi. Aholah loe Samaria, tiah ahmin paek moe, Aholibah loe Jerusalem, tiah paek.
And the names of them were Aholah the elder, and Aholibah her sister: and they were mine, and they bare sons and daughters. Thus were their names; Samaria is Aholah, and Jerusalem Aholibah.
5 Aholah loe ka zu ah oh nathuem hoiah tangzat to a zawh boeh; anih mah angmah ih tlangai hoi a imtaeng Assyria kaminawk to a zoek.
And Aholah played the harlot when she was mine; and she doted on her lovers, on the Assyrians her neighbours,
6 Anih loe khukbuen kahing hoiah amthoep, prae ukkungnawk hoi misatuh angraengnawk, kranghoih kaminawk boih, hrang angthueng kaminawk hoiah zae sak koehhaih to a tawnh.
Which were clothed with blue, captains and rulers, all of them desirable young men, horsemen riding upon horses.
7 To kaminawk khaeah tangzat to zawh moe, kahoih koek qoih ih Assyria kaminawk boih, anih mah zoek ih kaminawk boih, krangnawk boih hoiah panuet thok zaehaih to a sak.
Thus she committed her whoredoms with them, with all them that were the chosen men of Assyria, and with all on whom she doted: with all their idols she defiled herself.
8 Izip prae hoiah sin ih tangyat zawhhaih to toengh sut ai; anih loe nongpanawk mah nawksai nathuem hoiah ni iih o haih boeh, tahnu to panamh pae o moe, anih nuiah taksa koehhaih to dip o sak.
Neither left she her whoredoms brought from Egypt: for in her youth they lay with her, and they bruised the breasts of her virginity, and poured their whoredom upon her.
9 To pongah angmah zoek ih tlangai, Assyria kaminawk ban ah anih to ka paek.
Wherefore I have delivered her into the hand of her lovers, into the hand of the Assyrians, upon whom she doted.
10 Khukbuen to a khring pae o; a capanawk hoi a canunawk to lomh pae o moe, sumsen hoiah hum o; to tiah anih nuiah lokcaek o pongah, anih loe nongpatanawk thungah ahmin kamthang nongpata ah oh.
These discovered her nakedness: they took her sons and her daughters, and slew her with the sword: and she became famous among women; for they had executed judgment upon her.
11 Amnawk Aholibah mah hnuk naah, amza pongah zae sak koehhaih to nung kue; to pongah amza pong pop kue ah tangyat zawhhaih to a sak.
And when her sister Aholibah saw this, she was more corrupt in her inordinate love than she, and in her whoredoms more than her sister in her whoredoms.
12 Anih mah khukbuen kahoih angkhuk Assyria kaminawk, prae ukkungnawk hoi misatuh angraengnawk, hrang angthueng kaminawk, kranghoih kaminawk to zoek boih.
She doted upon the Assyrians her neighbours, captains and rulers clothed most gorgeously, horsemen riding upon horses, all of them desirable young men.
13 To naah anih doeh panuet thok hmuen to sak moe, amza ih loklam ni pazui toeng, tiah ka hnuk.
Then I saw that she was defiled, that they took both one way,
14 Anih mah tasi kathim hoi tapang nuiah soi ih Khaldian kaminawk ih krang to hnuk naah, khit moe, pop aep ah tangyat zawhhaih to a sak;
And that she increased her whoredoms: for when she saw men portrayed upon the wall, the images of the Chaldeans portrayed with vermilion,
15 Khaldian prae Babylon kaminawk tapenhaih ahmuen ih, kaeng ah kaengkaeh to angzaeng, lu loe angan kahoih kahni hoiah angzaeng, angraengnawk baktiah kaom krangnawk to a hnuk:
Girded with girdles upon their loins, exceeding in dyed attire upon their heads, all of them princes to look to, after the manner of the Babylonians of Chaldea, the land of their nativity:
16 to naah a khit moe, Khaldian prae ah laicaeh to patoeh roep.
And as soon as she saw them with her eyes, she doted upon them, and sent messengers unto them into Chaldea.
17 Babylon kaminawk anih khaeah angzoh o moe, zae sak koehhaih iihkhun ah panuet thok hmuensakhaih hoiah anih to amhnong o sak; anih to panuet thok ah sak o moe, poekhaih palungthin doeh amkraih o sak.
And the Babylonians came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their whoredom, and she was polluted with them, and her mind was alienated from them.
18 To tiah tangzat zawhhaih amtueng moe, bangkrai ah ohhaih amtueng naah, amza kacoeh to kang qoi taak baktih toengah, anih doeh kang qoi taak boeh.
So she discovered her whoredoms, and discovered her nakedness: then my mind was alienated from her, like my mind was alienated from her sister.
19 Toe anih loe nawksai nathuem ah Izip prae ah tangyat zawhhaih ninawk to a poek pongah, kanung aep ah tangzat zawhhaih to a sak.
Yet she multiplied her whoredoms, in calling to remembrance the days of her youth, wherein she had played the harlot in the land of Egypt.
20 To ah angmah ih tlangainawk to a zoek, nihcae ih tangzat loe laa hrang tangzat baktiah oh, nihcae ih tangzat tui doeh hrang tangzat tui baktiah oh.
For she doted upon their paramours, whose flesh is as the flesh of asses, and whose issue is like the issue of horses.
21 Na qoeng thuem naah Izip kaminawk mah tahnu mong to ang hnoih pae o, tahnu ang panamh pae o moe, nihcae hoi na sak ih zaehaih to na poek.
Thus you called to remembrance the lewdness of your youth, in bruising your teats by the Egyptians for the breast of your youth.
22 To pongah Aw Aholibah, Angraeng Sithaw mah, Khenah, nang tuksak hanah, na poekhaih amkhraisakkung, na tlangainawk to ka pathawk han, nihcae to ahmuen kruek hoiah ka hoih han.
Therefore, O Aholibah, thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I will raise up your lovers against you, from whom your mind is alienated, and I will bring them against you on every side;
23 To kaminawk thungah Babylon kaminawk, Khaldian kaminawk boih, Pekod, Shoa hoi Koa ih kaminawk, Assyria kaminawk boih; kranghoih thendoengnawk, prae ukkungnawk hoi misatuh angraengnawk, kalen angraengnawk hoi ahmin kamthang kaminawk, hrang angthueng kaminawk boih athum o tih.
The Babylonians, and all the Chaldeans, Pekod, and Shoa, and Koa, and all the Assyrians with them: all of them desirable young men, captains and rulers, great lords and renowned, all of them riding upon horses.
24 Nihcae loe misatukhaih hrang lakok, rel hoi hrangnawk to sin o tih, kami paroeai angzo o tih, nang kah hanah misa angvaenghaih hoi lumueknawk hoiah amthoep o ueloe, nang to takui o tih; nihcae khaeah lokcaekhaih to ka paek han, nihcae loe angmacae koeh baktiah lokcaek o tih.
And they shall come against you with chariots, wagons, and wheels, and with an assembly of people, which shall set against you buckler and shield and helmet round about: and I will set judgment before them, and they shall judge you according to their judgments.
25 Palungphuihaih nang khaeah kang paqoi, nihcae mah palungphuihaih hoiah na naeh o tih, hnah hoi naanawk to na aat pae o ueloe, anghmat kaminawk doeh sumsen hoiah hum o tih; na capanawk hoi na canunawk to na naeh pae o tih, anghmat kaminawk loe hmai hoiah thlaek o tih.
And I will set my jealousy against you, and they shall deal furiously with you: they shall take away your nose and your ears; and your remnant shall fall by the sword: they shall take your sons and your daughters; and your residue shall be devoured by the fire.
26 Na khukbuennawk to na khring pae o ueloe, kahoih khukbuennawk to la o ving tih.
They shall also strip you out of your clothes, and take away your fair jewels.
27 To naah hnukbang na khet moe, Izip prae na poek let han ai ah, na sak ih zaehaih, Izip prae thung hoiah na sin ih tangzat zawhhaihnawk to kang toengh sak han, tiah thuih.
Thus will I make your lewdness to cease from you, and your whoredom brought from the land of Egypt: so that you shall not lift up your eyes unto them, nor remember Egypt any more.
28 Angraeng Sithaw mah, Khenah, nang hnuma kaminawk hoi na poekhaih palung amkhraisak kaminawk ban ah kang paek han,
For thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I will deliver you into the hand of them whom you hate, into the hand of them from whom your mind is alienated:
29 nihcae mah nang to hnuma o tih, toksak moe na patung ih hmuenmaenawk to na la pae o boih ueloe, bangkrai ah na suem o sut tih; tangzat to zawh moe, zae sakhaih, tangyat zawh moe, bangkrai ah na ohhaihnawk to amtueng boih tih.
And they shall deal with you hatefully, and shall take away all your labour, and shall leave you naked and bare: and the nakedness of your whoredoms shall be discovered, both your lewdness and your whoredoms.
30 Nang loe Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk khaeah tangzat na zawh moe, nihcae ih krangnawk hoiah nam hnong pongah, hae hmuennawk hae na nuiah kang phaksak boeh.
I will do these things unto you, because you have gone a whoring after the heathen, and because you are polluted with their idols.
31 Nam ya ih loklam to na pazui pongah, anih ih boengloeng to na ban ah ka suek han, tiah a thuih.
You have walked in the way of your sister; therefore will I give her cup into your hand.
32 Angraeng Sithaw mah, Nang loe nam ya ih kalen hoi kathuk boengloeng to na nae tih; to boengloeng loe paroeai acaeh boengloeng ah oh baktih toengah, nang loe minawk mah pahnui thuihaih hoi padaenghaih to na tong tih.
Thus says the Lord GOD; You shall drink of your sister's cup deep and large: you shall be laughed to scorn and had in derision; it contains much.
33 Nam nawk Samaria mah naek ih anghmanghaih hoi amrohaih boengloeng to na nae ueloe, paquih pacoengah palungsethaih hoiah na koi tih, tiah thuih.
You shall be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, with the cup of astonishment and desolation, with the cup of your sister Samaria.
34 To boengloeng to na nae ueloe, atui to na pazop boih tih, na koisak ueloe, na tahnu to nam tuengsak tih; Kai mah thuih boeh, tiah Angraeng Sithaw mah ang naa.
You shall even drink it and suck it out, and you shall break the earthen ware thereof, and pluck off your own breasts: for I have spoken it, says the Lord GOD.
35 To pongah Angraeng Sithaw mah, Kai nang pahnet moe, na hnuk bangah nang vah ving boeh pongah, tangzat to zawh moe, na sak ih zaehaih atho to na zok tih, tiah thuih.
Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Because you have forgotten me, and cast me behind your back, therefore bear you also your lewdness and your whoredoms.
36 Angraeng mah kai khaeah, Kami capa, Aholah hoi Aholibah to lok na caek han maw? Ue, a sak hoi ih panuet thok zaehaihnawk to thui paeh;
The LORD said moreover unto me; Son of man, will you judge Aholah and Aholibah? yea, declare unto them their abominations;
37 nihnik loe zaehaih sak hoi moe, a ban ah kami ih athii to oh, krangnawk hoiah zaehaih a sak hoi, kai hoiah sak ih a caanawk mataeng doeh krang pacah hanah hmai angbawnhaih ah a paek hoi.
That they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands, and with their idols have they committed adultery, and have also caused their sons, whom they bare unto me, to pass for them through the fire, to devour them.
38 To na niah kai khaeah angzoh hoi moe, kai ih hmuenciim to amhnong hoi sak, kai ih Sabbath doeh zaa hoi ai.
Moreover this they have done unto me: they have defiled my sanctuary in the same day, and have profaned my sabbaths.
39 Krangnawk hmaa ah a caanawk to hum hoi, to ni roe ah kai ih hmuenciim ah angzoh hoi moe, amhnong hoi sak; khenah, to tiah ka imthung ah hmuen to a sak hoi.
For when they had slain their children to their idols, then they came the same day into my sanctuary to profane it; and, lo, thus have they done in the midst of mine house.
40 Kangthla parai ahmuen hoiah kaminawk angzoh o hanah, laicaehnawk to na patoeh hoi; khenah, nihcae loe angzoh o, nihcae hanah tui nam hluk hoi, mik ah rong nang nok hoi moe, atho kana khukbuen to nang khuk hoi.
And furthermore, that all of you have sent for men to come from far, unto whom a messenger was sent; and, lo, they came: for whom you did wash yourself, painted your eyes, and decked yourself with ornaments,
41 Atho kana anghnuthaih pongah nang hnut hoi moe, anih hmaa ah caboi na suek hoi pacoengah, a nuiah hmuihoih tui hoi kai ih situi to na suek pae hoi.
And sat upon a stately bed, and a table prepared before it, whereupon you have set mine incense and mine oil.
42 Nongpata khae hoiah mawnhaih tawn ai kaminawk ih lok to tacawt, kalah kaminawk loe Sabean, tiah kawk ih praezaek hoiah angzo kami ah oh o, nihcae mah nongpata hanah ban lakok, kranghoih lumuek to angmuek o sak, tiah thuih.
And a voice of a multitude being at ease was with her: and with the men of the common sort were brought Sabeans from the wilderness, which put bracelets upon their hands, and beautiful crowns upon their heads.
43 To naah kai mah, to tangzat zaw nongpata kawng pongah, nihnik loe mitong khoek to tangzat zaw nongpata hoi zaehaih sah o tih maw? tiah ka naa.
Then said I unto her that was old in adulteries, Will they now commit whoredoms with her, and she with them?
44 Nongpanawk mah tangzat zaw nongpata khaeah caeh o baktih toengah, nihcae loe nongpata khaeah caeh o; kami zoek thaih nongpata, Aholah hoi Aholibah khaeah a caeh o.
Yet they went in unto her, as they go in unto a woman that plays the harlot: so went they in unto Aholah and unto Aholibah, the lewd women.
45 Nihnik loe daan ai ah zaehaih sak hoi moe, athii longsak nongpata ah oh hoi; zaehaih a sak hoi moe, ban ah athii to oh pongah, katoeng nongpanawk mah lokcaek tih, tiah thuih.
And the righteous men, they shall judge them after the manner of adulteresses, and after the manner of women that shed blood; because they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.
46 Angraeng Sithaw mah, Nihnik khaeah kami paroeai ka hoih han, raihaih ka paeksak moe, hmuenmae to ka lomsak han.
For thus says the Lord GOD; I will bring up a company upon them, and will give them to be removed and spoiled.
47 Paroeai kaminawk mah nihnik to thlung hoiah va o ueloe, sumsen hoiah takroek o tih; a capanawk hoi a canunawk to hum pae o ueloe, a imnawk to hmai hoiah thlaek pae o tih.
And the company shall stone them with stones, and dispatch them with their swords; they shall slay their sons and their daughters, and burn up their houses with fire.
48 Nang hnik baktiah nongpatanawk boih mah zaehaih sak o han om ai, tiah panoeksak hanah, prae thungah to baktih zaehaih to ka toenghsak han.
Thus will I cause lewdness to cease out of the land, that all women may be taught not to do after your lewdness.
49 Na sak o ih zaehaih baktih toengah nihcae mah lok na caek o tih, krang hoiah na sak o ih zaehaih atho to na zok o tih; to naah Kai loe Angraeng Sithaw ni, tito na panoek tih, tiah thuih.
And they shall recompense your lewdness upon you, and all of you shall bear the sins of your idols: and all of you shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
