< Ezekiel 15 >
1 Angraeng ih lok kai khaeah angzoh,
And the word of Yahweh came unto me saying:
2 kami capa, tipongah maw misurkung loe kalah thingnawk pongah hoih kue moe, tu thung ih thing tanghangnawk pongah doeh hoih kue?
Son of man, What can the vine-tree be more than any other tree, —any branch which hath been found among the trees of the forest?
3 Hmuen maeto sak hanah misurkung to lak o vai maw? To tih ai boeh loe kami mah misurkung hoiah hmuen bangh haih sak o vai maw?
Shall there be taken from it wood, to be made into any work? Or will men take therefrom a peg, to hang thereon any vessel?
4 Khenah, hmai ah ni a tik o, hmai mah loe takung, a um hoi tadong khoek to kangh. Hmai mah kang pacoengah to thing to patoh han hoih vop maw?
Lo! into the fire, it is given up for fuel, — The two ends thereof, doth the fire devour, And the middle thereof is charred, Is it fit for any work?
5 Khenah, hmai mah kang ai akung ah oh naah mataeng doeh avanghaih om ai nahaeloe, hmai mah kangh moe, hmai saae ah oh pacoeng naah cae loe, kawkruk maw patoh han avang ai ah om tih?
Lo! while it was yet whole, it could not be made into any work, — how much less when! the fire hath devoured it. and it is charred, can it still be made into any work?
6 To pongah Angraeng Sithaw mah, Tupui thung ih thingnawk salak ih misurkung to hmaitik hanah ka paek baktih toengah, Jerusalem vangpui thungah kaom kaminawk to ka paek han.
Therefore, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, As a vine-tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given up to the fire for fuel, so have I given up the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
7 Nihcae to mikhmai ka set thuih han; nihcae loe hmai maeto thung hoiah tacawt o tih, toe kalah hmai maeto mah nihcae to kang tih; nihcae mikhmai ka set thuih naah loe, Kai loe Angraeng ni, tiah na panoek o tih, tiah thuih.
Therefore will I set my face against them, Out of one fire, have they come forth But another fire, shall devour them, —So shall ye know that, I, am Yahweh, by my setting my face against them;
8 Nihcae mah zaehaih sak o pongah prae to ka pongsak sut han boeh, tiah Angraeng Sithaw mah thuih.
I will therefore give up the land as a desolation, —because they have committed treachery, Declareth My Lord., Yahweh.
