< Ezekiel 12 >

1 Angraeng ih lok kai khaeah angzoh,
A message from the Lord came to me, saying,
2 kami capa, nang loe angaek karah kaminawk salakah na oh, nihcae loe hnuk hanah mik a tawnh o, toe hnu o ai; thaih hanah naa a tawnh o, toe thaih o ai; nihcae loe laisaep thaih imthung takoh ah oh o.
“Son of man, you are living among rebellious people. They have eyes to see but they don't see, and ears to hear but they don't hear, because they are rebellious people.
3 To pongah, kami capa nang, misong ah laemh baktiah ahmuen kalah bangah caeh hanah hmuenmae to paroep ah, khodai naah nihcae mikhnuk ah na ohhaih ahmuen hoiah angthawk ah loe, nihcae mah hnuk o naah ahmuen kalah bangah caeh ah; laisaep thaih imthung takoh ah om o cadoeh, nihcae mah kho na poek pae khoe doeh om tih.
So, son of man, go and pack your bags as if you're going into exile. As people watch, get everything ready during the day so you can leave where you are and go somewhere else. Maybe they will realize what this means, even though they are rebellious people.
4 Angpoeng hanah paroep ih hmuenmae baktih toengah, khodai naah nihcae mikhnuk roe ah nangmah ih hmuenmaenawk to sin ah; misong ah naeh ih kaminawk baktiah, aduembang ah nihcae mikhnuk roe ah caeh ah.
Take your bags out for traveling into exile during the day while they watch. But you yourself are to leave in the evening as they watch, just like someone going into exile.
5 Nihcae mikhnuk ah tapang to taqawt ah loe, to akhaw thung hoiah nangmah ih hmuenmae to sin ah.
While they go on watching, knock down part of the wall of your house and take your belongings out through the hole.
6 Na palaeng ah apu ah loe nihcae mikhnuk ah khoving hmawk naah caeh haih ah, long to na hnuk han ai ah mikhmai padap khoep ah; Israel imthung takoh hanah angmathaih ah kang sak boeh, tiah ang naa.
When it gets dark, as they continue to watch, put your bags on your shoulder and carry them as you leave. Cover your face so that you can't see the country you're leaving behind, because I'm providing you as a sign to warn the people of Israel.”
7 To pongah lokpaek ih baktih toengah ka sak; kai loe misong ah naeh ih kami ih hmuennawk baktih toengah, kaimah ih hmuennawk to khodai naah ka lak moe, aduembang ah ka ban hoiah tapang to ka taqawt; khoving hmawk naah hmuennawk to ka lak moe, nihcae mikhnuk roe ah palaeng nuiah ka put.
So I did as I was told. I took my bags out to go into exile during the day, and in the evening I knocked down part of the wall of my house with my bare hands. I took my belongings out when it got dark, carrying them on my shoulder while they watched.
8 Akhawnbang ah Angraeng ih lok to kai khaeah angzoh,
In the morning a message from the Lord came to me, saying,
9 kami capa, laisaep karah Israel imthung takoh mah, Tih maw na sak, tiah na naa o ai maw?
“Son of man, haven't those rebellious Israelites asked you, ‘What are you doing?’
10 Nihcae khaeah, Angraeng Sithaw mah hae tiah thuih, Hae loknawk loe Jerusalem ah kaom siangpahrang hoi to vangpui thungah kaom Israel imthung takohnawk boih han ih ni oh.
Tell them that this is what the Lord God says: ‘This prophetic sign concerns the prince who is ruling in Jerusalem and all the people of Israel who are living there.’
11 Kai loe nangcae han angmathaih ah ka oh; ka sak ih baktih toengah nihcae khaeah sah tih; nihcae angpoeng o ueloe, misong ah naeh ih kami ah om o tih.
You are to say to them, ‘I'm a sign to you.’ Just as it was demonstrated here, so it will happen to them—they will go into exile as prisoners.
12 Nihcae salakah kaom siangpahrang loe angmah ih hmuennawk to palaeng ah apuu ueloe, khoving ah caeh haih tih, anih caeh haih hanah tapang to taqawt o tih; anih mah long to hnuk han ai ah mikhmai to padap pae o khoep tih.
When it gets dark, their prince will also put his bags on his shoulder and leave. They will knock down the wall to take him away. He will cover his face so he can't see the country he's leaving behind.
13 Anih han palok ka payang pae han, anih loe kai ih thaang pongah aman tih; anih to Khaldian prae Babylon ah ka caeh haih han, anih loe to vangpui ah dueh tih, toe vangpui to hnu mak ai.
But I will catch him in my net; I will trap him in my snare. I will take him to Babylon in the country of Babylonia. However, won't see it, and he'll die there.
14 Anih abomh hanah a taengah kaom kaminawk hoi anih ih toksah kaminawk boih takhi songhaih ahmuen kruekah kang haehsak phaeng han; Sumsen to ka laek moe, nihcae to ka patom han.
I'm going to scatter all his attendants and all his troops in every direction, and I will chase after them with a drawn sword.
15 Nihcae to prae kaminawk salakah kang haehsak phang moe, prae congca ah kam praeksak phang naah loe, nihcae mah Kai loe Angraeng ni, tito panoek o tih.
They will know that I am the Lord when I scatter them among the different nations and countries.
16 Toe a caeh o haih Sithaw panoek ai prae kruekah a sak o ih panuet thok hmuennawk to a thuih o hanah, sumsen, khokhahaih hoi kasae nathaih thung hoiah kami zetta ka pathlung han; to naah nihcae mah Kai loe Angraeng ni, tiah panoek o tih, tiah ang naa.
But I will let a few of them survive war, famine, and disease so that they can tell the nations where they're exiled about all their disgusting sins. Then they will know that I am the Lord.”
17 Angraeng ih lok kai khaeah angzoh;
A message from the Lord came to me, saying,
18 kami capa, tasoehhaih hoi buh to caa ah loe, zithaih hoiah tui to nae ah.
“Son of man, tremble as you eat your bread; shake with worry as you drink your water.
19 Prae kaminawk khaeah, Jerusalem ah kaom kaminawk hoi Israel prae thungah kaom kaminawk khaeah, Angraeng Sithaw mah, Nihcae loe tasoeh takuenhaih hoiah buh to caa o tih, dawnraihaih hoiah tui to nae o ueloe, prae thungah kaom kaminawk ih khoaehaih pongah, prae thungah kaom hmuenmaenawk to anghmaa boih tih boeh.
Then explain to the people of this country that this is what the Lord God says to those living in Jerusalem and in the country of Israel: They will be worried as eat their bread and they will be in despair as they drink their water, for their land will be stripped bare because of the violent crimes committed by everyone who lives there.
20 Kami ohhaih vangpuinawk to amro ueloe, prae loe pong sut tih boeh; to naah Kai loe Angraeng ni, tiah na panoek o tih, tiah thuih, tiah thui paeh, tiah ang naa.
The towns will be destroyed, and the countryside turned into a wasteland. Then you will know that I am the Lord.”
21 Angraeng ih lok kai khaeah angzoh,
Another message from the Lord came to me, saying,
22 kami capa, aninawk loe laemh o boeh moe, hnuksakhaih doeh amro boeh, tiah thuih ih palungha lok to Israel prae thungah om ai maw?
“Son of man, what's this proverb you people have in the land of Israel: ‘Time goes by, and no vision comes true’?
23 Nihcae khaeah, Angraeng Sithaw mah, Hae tiah a thuih o ih palungha lok to ka boengsak han boeh, nihcae mah Israel prae thungah palungha lok patoh o mak ai boeh; nihcae khaeah, Hnuksak ih hmuennawk akoep boihhaih ani loe zoi boeh, tiah thuih.
So tell them that this is what the Lord God says: ‘I will put a stop to this proverb. No one in Israel will quote it anymore.’ Instead tell them: The time is soon coming when every vision will come true.
24 To naah loe Israel imthung takoh ah avang ai hnuksakhaih hoi lok amlai tahmaahaih to om mak ai boeh.
There won't be any more false visions or fake prophecies among the Israelites,
25 Kai loe Angraeng ah ka oh; ka thuih han koi lok to ka thuih naah, aekhaih om ai ah akoep tih, akoephaih ni doeh akra mak ai; Aw angaek karah imthung takoh, nangcae dung ah lok ka thuih moe, thuih ih lok baktih toengah ka koepsak han, tiah Angraeng Sithaw mah thuih, tiah thuih paeh, tiah ang naa.
because I, the Lord, will say whatever I choose to say, and it will happen immediately. Right now, you rebellious people, I will say something and make sure it happens, declares the Lord God.”
26 Angraeng ih lok kai khaeah angzoh,
An additional message from the Lord came to me, saying,
27 kami capa, khenah, A hnuk ih hnuksakhaih loe angzo han koi pop parai aninawk to thuikoehhaih ih ni, a thuih ih atuenawk loe angthla parai vop, tiah Israel imthung takoh mah thuih o.
“Son of man, notice what the people of Israel are saying, ‘The vision that he's describing won't happen for a long time. He's prophesying about a time in the distant future.’
28 To pongah nihcae khaeah, Angraeng Sithaw mah, Ka thuih ih loknawk loe akra mak ai, ka thuih ih lok to ka koepsak han, tiah Angraeng Sithaw mah thuih, tiah thui paeh, tiah ang naa.
So tell them that this is what the Lord God says: Everything I've said is about to happen. There won't be any more delay, declares the Lord God.”
