< Ezekiel 11 >

1 Muithla mah ang tapom tahang moe, nih angyae bang anghae Angraeng im khongkha ah ang caeh haih; khongkha thok taengah loe nongpa pumphae pangato oh o, nihcae thungah kami zaehoikung, Azur capa Jaazaniah hoi Benaiah capa Pelatiah to ka hnuk.
[Then God’s] Spirit lifted me up and took me to the gate on the east side of the temple area. There at the gate were 25 men. Among them I saw Jaazaniah the son of Azzur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, who were leaders of the people.
2 Anih mah kai khaeah, Kami capa, hae kaminawk loe kahoih ai hmuen sah kami, hae vangpui thungah kasae poekhaih paekkung ah oh o:
Yahweh said to me, “You human, these are the [new leaders in Jerusalem] who are planning to do evil things and who are giving wicked advice [to people] in this city.
3 nihcae mah, Atue pha ai vop, im kapop ah sah o si, hae vangpui loe moi thonghaih laom ah oh moe, aicae loe moi ah a oh o, tiah a thuih o.
They say, ‘[Everything will go well for us, so] it will surely soon be [RHQ] time to build houses. [We are like] [MET] fine/choice pieces of meat that are carefully stored in covered pots, and we are protected [from the bad things that will happen to others].’
4 To pongah nihcae misa haih lok to taphong ah, Aw kami capa, lok to taphong ah, tiah ang naa.
So, you human, prophesy [the terrible things that will happen to] them.”
5 To pacoengah Angraeng ih Muithla ka nuiah angzoh moe, Aw Israel imthung takohnawk, na thuih o ih lok hoi na poek o ih hmuennawk to ka panoek boih, tiah Angraeng mah thuih, tiah lok to thui pae ah, tiah ang naa.
Then the Spirit of Yahweh came upon me and told me to [to the people], “This is what Yahweh says: You Israeli people [MTY] are saying those things, but I know what you are thinking.
6 Hae vangpui thungah pop parai kami to na hum o moe, kami qok hoiah loklam to na koi o sak boeh.
You have killed many people in this city and filled the streets with their corpses.
7 To pongah Angraeng Sithaw mah, Vangpui um ah na vah o ih kami qok loe, moi ah oh moe, vangpui loe laom ah oh, toe hae vangpui thung hoiah kang haek o han, tiah thuih.
Therefore this is what Yahweh the Lord says: The corpses of the people whom you have killed here are [like] the meat [MET], and this city is [like] the pot [MET], but I will expel you from this city.
8 Nangcae mah sumsen to na zit o, to pongah nangcae tuk hanah to sumsen to ka sin han, tiah Angraeng Sithaw mah thuih.
You are afraid [being killed by enemies’] swords, and that is what I will cause to happen to you.
9 Vangpui thung hoiah kang haek o moe, prae kalah kaminawk ban ah kang paek o pacoengah, kang thuitaek o han.
I will expel you from this city and enable foreigners to capture you and punish you.
10 Sumsen hoiah nam timh o tih, Israel ramri ah lok kang caek o han; to naah Kai loe Angraeng ni, tiah na panoek o tih.
They will kill [EUP] you with their swords; you will be punished [right here] in Israel. Then people will realize that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].
11 Hae vangpui loe nangcae han laom ah om mak ai, nangcae loe moi ah doeh na om o mak ai; nangcae loe Israel ramri ah lok kang caek o han:
This city will not be [a place were you will be protected like] [MET] meat in a covered pot. I will punish you wherever you are in Israel.
12 to naah Kai loe Angraeng ni, tiah na panoek o tih; kang patuk ih lok to na pazui o ai moe, ka lokcaekhaih doeh na pakuem o ai, nangcae taengah kaom Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk baktiah kho na sak o lat, tiah a naa.
And you will know that I, Yahweh, [have predicted that would happen], because you have not obeyed my commands and decrees; instead, you have imitated [wicked] behavior [of the people] of the nearby nations.”
13 To tiah lok ka thuih li naah, Benaiah capa Pelatiah to duek. To naah ka kuep moe, tha hoi ka qah, Aw Angraeng Sithaw! Kanghmat Israel kaminawk doeh na paduek boih han boeh maw? tiah ka naa.
While I was prophesying that, Pelatiah the son of Benaiah [suddenly] died. Then I prostrated myself on the ground and cried out loudly, “Yahweh my Lord, are you going [similarly] get rid of all the Israeli people who are still alive?”
14 Angraeng ih lok kai khaeah angzoh let,
Then Yahweh gave me this message:
15 Kami capa, nam nawkamyanawk, nangmacae acaengnawk, Israel imthung takoh boih hoi Jerusalem kaminawk mah, Angraeng khae hoi kangthla ah om oh; aicae mah toep hanah hae prae hae paek ah oh boeh, tiah a thuih o.
“You human, the people who are still in Jerusalem are talking about you and your own relatives and about all the other people who were (exiled/forced to go to other countries), saying, ‘They [in Babylonia], far from Yahweh. They have left their [here in Israel, so] their property now belongs to us!’”
16 To pongah, Angraeng Sithaw mah, Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk salakah ka haek moe, prae boih ah kang haehsak, toe akra ai ah nihcae phakhaih prae boih ah nihcae han hmuenciim ah ka oh pae han, tiah thuih.
So tell [them], “This is what Yahweh the Lord says: Although I caused them to be taken far [from Israel] and scattered them among other nations, for a short time I will (be like a refuge for/protect) them in the countries to which they have been taken.”
17 Angraeng Sithaw mah, Nihcae to kaminawk salak hoiah pakhueng moe, prae kruekah anghaeh kaminawk to ka tacuu let han; Israel prae to kang paek o han, tiah thuih, tiah thui paeh.
So also tell them, “This is what Yahweh the Lord says: [Some day] I will gather you from the [to which you have been taken] and bring you back to Israel, and you will live in your country/land [again].
18 Nihcae loe to prae ah caeh o ueloe, kahoih ai hmuennawk hoi panuet thok hmuennawk to takhoe o boih tih.
When you return to your country, you will get rid of all the vile statues of gods and detestable idols.
19 Nihcae khaeah amkhraeng ai palungthin to ka paek moe, nangcae thungah kangtha muithla to ka suek han; nihcae thungah kaom thlung baktih kamtaak palungpathin to ka lak moe, ngan kaom palungthin to ka paek han:
I will put a new way of thinking [IDM] within you. I will cause you to no longer be stubborn [IDM], and I will enable you to obey me completely [IDM].
20 to naah loe nihcae mah ka patuk ih loknawk to pazui o tih, kai ih dannawk to pakuem o ueloe, sah o tih boeh: nihcae loe Kai ih kami ah om o tih, Kai doeh nihcae ih Sithaw ah ka oh han boeh.
When I do that, you will carefully obey all my laws [DOU]. You will be my people, and I will be your God.
21 Toe kahoih ai hmuennawk, panuet thok hmuennawk ah palungthin paek kaminawk loe a sak o ih hmuen baktih toengah, angmacae lu ah ka kraksak let han, tiah Angraeng Sithaw mah thuih, tiah ang thuihsak.
But as for those who are devoted [worshiping] their vile statues and detestable idols, I will punish them as they deserve for the evil things that they have done.’”
22 To pacoengah cherubimnawk loe pakhraeh to atoengh o tahang, a taengah kaom rel khoknawk doeh caeh o toeng; nihcae nuiah Israel Sithaw lensawkhaih to oh.
Then the winged creatures, with their wheels beside them, spread their [and flew up into the air], and the dazzling brightness of Yahweh was above them.
23 Vangpui thung hoiah Angraeng lensawkhaih to angkhong tahang moe, vangpui ni angyae bang ih mae nuiah anghak.
That light went up away from the city and stopped above the mountain to the east of the city.
24 Muithla mah kai ang tapom tahang, Sithaw Muithla hnuksakhaih hoiah misong ah naeh ih kaminawk suekhaih Khaldia, tiah kawk ih Babylon ah ang caeh haih. To naah ka hnuk ih hnuksakhaih to kai khae hoiah caeh tahang ving.
In the vision [that I had been seeing, God’s] Spirit lifted me up and brought me [back] to the (exiles in/people who had been forced to go to) Babylonia. Then the vision ended,
25 Angraeng mah hnuksak ih hmuennawk boih misong ah naeh ih kaminawk khaeah ka thuih pae.
and I told the exiles everything that Yahweh had shown [in the vision].
