1 Kahni im loe rong kam-iing, kamling hup hoi kathim, bantok sak kop kaminawk mah sak ih cherubim kaom, imthung pakaahaih puu ngan kahni hato hoiah sah ah.
“[Tell the people to] make the Sacred Tent using ten long strips of fine linen. They must take blue, purple, and red thread (OR, weave the strips from blue, purple, and red thread), and [a skilled craftsman] must embroider these strips with [designs that represent] the winged creatures [that are above the chest].
2 Imthung pakaahaih kahni loe dong pumphae tazetto sawk moe, dong palito kawk han oh; imthung pakaahaih kahni loe dong tahhaih anghmong boih han oh.
Each strip is to be (14 yards/twelve meters) long and (2 yards/1.8 meters) wide.
3 Imthung pakaahaih kahni pangato pacong boih ah loe, kalah kahni pangato doeh pacong bae ah.
[Tell them to] sew five strips together to make one set, and sew the other five strips together to make another set.
4 Imthung pakaahaih kahni tasa bang ih, kahni maeto hoi maeto patomhhaih aqai taengah, rong kam-iing hoiah kangbuet luet akhaw to sah ah; kalah kahni pongah doeh kahni maeto hoi maeto paconghaih aqai taengah, to tiah sah let ah.
For each set, [they must] make loops of blue [cloth] and fasten them along the outer edge of the strip, at the end of each set.
5 Payang ih kahni maeto pongah kangbuet luet akhaw qui pangato sah loe, kalah kahni paconghaih ahmuen ah doeh kangbuet luet akhaw qui pangato sah let ah.
[They must] put 50 loops on the edge of the first set, and 50 loops on the edge of the second set.
6 To pacoengah kahni ataephaih doeh sui hoiah qui pangato sah loe, to kahni ataephaih hoiah kahni to maeto pacoeng maeto pacong ah; to naah kahni im maeto ah angcoeng tih.
[Tell them to] make 50 gold clasps/fasteners, to fasten both of the sets together. As a result, the inside of the Sacred Tent will be [as though it was] one piece.
7 Kahni im ranuih khuk hanah imthung pakaahaih kahni to maeh mui hoiah sah ah.
Also, [tell them to] make a cover for the Sacred Tent from eleven pieces of cloth made from goats’ hair.
8 Imthung pakaahaih kahni loe dong qui thumto sawk moe, dong palito kawksak han oh; kahni hathlaito loe kalen kasawk anghmong boih tih.
Each piece of cloth is to be (15 yards/13.5 meters) long and (2 yards/1.8 meters) wide.
9 Kahni pangato to maeto ah pacong ah loe, kalah kahni tarukto doeh maeto ah patomh ah; tarukto haih kahni loe hnetto ah pakhraep ah loe kahni im hmaa ah suem ah.
[Tell them to] sew five of these pieces of cloth together to make one set, and sew the other six pieces of cloth together to make another set. [They] must fold the sixth piece [of cloth] in half to make it double over the front of the Sacred Tent.
10 Kahni maeto hoi maeto paconghaih aqai ah kangbuet luet akhaw qui pangato sah loe, kalah kahni maeto patomhhaih aqai ah doeh kangbuet luet akhaw qui pangato sah let ah.
[Tell them to] make 100 loops [of blue cloth], and to fasten 50 of them to the outer edge of the one set and fasten 50 to the outer edge of the other set.
11 Sum kamling hoiah ataephaih to qui pangato ah sah loe, kangbuet luet akhaw qui pangato pongah pathlet boih ah.
[Tell them to] make fifty bronze clasps/fasteners and put them in the cloth loops to join the two sets together. As a result, the cover for the Sacred Tent will be [as though it was] one piece.
12 Kahni im ah payang ih kamtlai kahni ahap loe, kahni im hnukbang ah bang ah.
[Let] the extra part of the cover, the part that extends beyond [the linen cloth], hang over the back of the Sacred Tent.
13 Kahni im ah payang ih kamthlai kahni loe maeto bangah kasawk dong maeto, kalah maeto bangah doeh kasawk dong maeto om tih; to tiah kamtlai kahni hoiah kahni im to khuk ah.
The extra half yard/meter of each cover, the part that extends beyond [the linen cloth] on each side, must hang over the two sides of the Sacred Tent, to protect the sides.
14 Kahni im khuk hanah tuu hin kamling to patoh ah loe, tuipui caham hin hoiah a nui to khuk ah.
[Tell them to] make two more covers for the Sacred Tent. One is to be made from rams’ skins that have been (tanned/dyed red), and the top cover is to be made from goatskin leather.”
15 Kahni im tapang to shittim thingphaek hoiah sah ah.
“[Tell them to] make frames from acacia wood, frames that will be set up [from which to hang the Sacred Tent covers].
16 Thingphaek maeto loe dong hato sawk moe, dong maeto pacoeng, ahap kawksak han oh.
Each frame is to be (five yards/four meters) long and (27 in./66 cm.) wide.
17 Thingphaek maeto pongah akhok hnetto sah loe, kangvan ah suem ah; to tiah kahni im ih thingphaek boih pongah sah ah.
[They] must make two projections at the bottom of each frame. These will be to fasten the frames to the bases underneath them. They must make these projections at the bottom of each frame.
18 Kahni im aloih bang pakaa hanah thingphaek pumphaeto sah ah;
Make 20 frames for the south side of the Sacred Tent.
19 to thingphaek pumphaeto atlim ah thingphaek maeto pongah akhok hnetto pahnut hanah, sum kanglung hoiah akhok pahnuthaih akhaw qui palito sah ah.
[Tell them to] make 40 silver bases to go underneath them. Two bases will go under each frame. The projections [at the bottom] of each frame are [to be made] to fit into the bases.
20 Kahni im aluek bang pakaa hanah thingphaek pumphaeto suem ah;
[Similarly], [tell them to] make twenty frames for the north side of the Sacred Tent.
21 akhok pahnut hanah sum kanglung hoiah akhaw qui palito sah ah; thingphaek maeto pongah akhok hnetto sah boih ah.
[They] must make 40 silver bases for them also, with two bases to be put under each frame.
22 Kahni im niduem bangah thingphaek tarukto sah ah.
For the rear of the Sacred Tent, on the west side, [tell them to] make six frames.
23 Kahni im boenghaih takii tapang haih hanah, thingphaek hnetto sah ah.
Also, [tell them to] make two extra frames, one for each corner of the rear of the Sacred Tent, [to provide extra support].
24 Takii hnetto loe atlim hoi ranuih nawnto pacong tahang poe ah loe ahmuen maeto ah caehsak hmaek ah; takii hnetto loe to tiah om tih.
The two corner frames must be joined from the bottom to the top (OR, joined at both the bottom and the top). At the top of each of the two corner frames there must be a gold ring for holding the crossbar.
25 Thingphaek tazetto om ueloe, sum kanglung hoi sak ih akhok pahnuthaih ahmuen hathlai tarukto oh han angaih; thingphaek maeto pongah akhok hnetto om ueloe, kalah thingphaek maeto pongah doeh akhok hnetto om toeng tih.
In that way, [for the rear of the Sacred Tent] there will be eight frames, and there will be 16 bases, two under each frame.
26 Takraenghaih thing to shittim thing hoiah sah ah; kahni im maeto ah takraenghaih pangato sah ah.
[Tell them to] make 15 crossbars from acacia wood.
27 Kahni im maeto bangah takraenghaih pangato sah loe, kahni im boenghaih niduem bangah takraenghaih pangato sah let ah.
Five of them will be for the frames on the north side of the Sacred Tent, five will be for the south side, and five for the frames at the rear of the Sacred Tent, the west side.
28 A um takraenghaih thingphaek loe hae bang hoi ho bang boenghaih khoek to phasak ah.
Tell them to fasten the crossbars on the north, south, and west sides of the Sacred Tent to the middle of the frames. The two long ones must extend from one end of the Sacred Tent to the other, and the crossbar on the west side must extend from one side of the Sacred Tent to the other.
29 Thingphaeknawk loe sui tui hoi pazut boih ah; takraenghaih thingphaek hawthaih ahmuen doeh sui hoiah sah ah; takraenghaih thingphaek doeh sui tui pazut ah.
[Tell them to] cover the frames with gold, and make gold rings to fasten the crossbars to the frames. The crossbars must [also] be covered with gold.
30 Mae nuiah kang patuek ih krang baktih toengah, kahni im to sah ah.
Erect the Sacred Tent in the way that I have shown you [here] on [this] mountain.”
31 Pakaahaih kahni loe rong kamiing, kamling hup, kathim puu ngan hoiah sah loe, bantok sak kop kami khaeah cherubim krang to soisak ah;
“[Tell them to] make a curtain from fine linen. A skilled craftsman must embroider it with blue, purple, and red yarn/thread, making [designs to represent] the winged creatures [that are above the chest].
32 sui tui pazut ih shittim tung palito nuiah, to imthung pakaahaih kahni to bang ah; to tungnawk pongah sui hoi sak ih cakoih baktih kaom racahnawk, sum kanglung hoi sak ih akhok pahnuthaih ahmuen palito sah ah.
[Tell them to] suspend/hang the curtain from four posts made from acacia wood and covered with gold. Set [each] post in a silver base.
33 Hnukung suekhaih thingkhong loe kahni hoi pakaa ih imthung ah suek hanah, payang ih kahni to sui hoi sak ih kahni ataephaih atlim ah bang ah; payang ih kahni mah hmuenciim hoi ciimcai koek ahmuen to pakaa khoep tih.
[They] must suspend/hang the [top of the] curtain by hooks that are fastened to the roof of the Sacred Tent. Behind the curtain, in the [room called the] Very Holy Place, [they] must put the chest containing the [two stone slabs on which I have written my] commandments. That curtain will separate the Holy Place from the Very Holy Place.
34 Palungnathaih tangkhang loe kaciim koek ahmuen thung ih hnukung thingkhong nuiah suem ah.
On top of the chest in the Very Holy Place [they] must put the lid which will be the place where [blood will be sprinkled to] forgive people’s sins.
35 Payang ih kahni tasa bangah caboi to suem ah loe, kahni im aloih bangah hmaithawk, aluek bangah caboi to mikhmai kangtong ah suem ah.
[In the room that is] outside of the Very Holy Place, [they] must put the table [for the sacred] bread on the north side, and put the lampstand on the south side.
36 Kahni im akunhaih pakaa hanah, kahni loe rong kamiing, rong kamling hup hoi kathim puu ngan hoiah sah ah.
[Tell them to] make a curtain to [cover] the entrance of the Sacred Tent. They must make it from fine linen, and a skilled weaver must embroider it with blue, purple, and red yarn/thread.
37 Payang ih kahni to bangh hanah tung pangato shittim thing hoiah sah ah; to tungnawk to sui tui pazut ah; cakoih baktih kaom racahnawk doeh sui hoi sak han angaih; akhok pahnuthaih ahmuen pangato loe sum kanglung hoiah sah ah.
To hold up this curtain, [they] must make five posts from acacia wood. [They] must cover them with gold, and fasten gold clasps/fasteners to them. Also [they] must make a bronze base for each of these posts.”
