Esther 7
1 To pongah siangpahrang hoi Haman loe siangpahrang zu Esther mah sak ih buhraenghaih poihkung ah caeh hoi.
And the king cometh in, and Haman, to drink with Esther the queen,
2 Ni hnetto misurtui naekhaih poihkung ah, siangpahrang mah Esther khaeah, siangpahrang zu Esther, Tih tahmenhaih maw nang hnik? Nang hnik ih hmuen to kang paek han; Timaw nang hnik? Nang hnik ih baktih toengah ka prae ahap mataeng doeh kang paek han, tiah a naa.
and the king saith to Esther also on the second day, during the banquet of wine, 'What [is] thy petition, Esther, O queen? and it is given to thee; and what thy request? unto the half of the kingdom — and it is done.'
3 To naah siangpahrang zu Esther mah, Aw siangpahrang, na mikcuk naakrak ah ka oh moe, na koehhaih baktiah ka oh nahaeloe, tahmenhaih kang hnik baktih toengah, ka hinghaih hae pathlung ah loe, kang hnik ih baktih toengah, kai ih acaengnawk hinghaih doeh pathlung ah.
And Esther the queen answereth and saith, 'If I have found grace in thine eyes, O king, and if to the king [it be] good, let my life be given to me at my petition, and my people at my request;
4 Kai ih kaminawk to paro moe, hum pacoengah, tamit boih hanah kaicae hae zawh o boeh. Misong nongpa hoi nongpata ah ka oh o hanah, na zaw o nahaeloe, tih lok doeh ka thui o mak ai; toe siangpahrang sunghaih loe misa mah pathok let thai mak ai, tiah ka poek tiah a naa.
for we have been sold, I and my people, to cut off, to slay, and to destroy; and if for men-servants and for maid-servants we had been sold I had kept silent — but the adversity is not equal to the loss of the king.'
5 To naah Ahasuerus siangpahrang mah, siangpahrang zu Esther khaeah, to baktih hmuen sak pacaeng kami loe mi aa? Naa ah maw oh? tiah a naa.
And the king Ahasuerus saith, yea, he saith to Esther the queen, 'Who [is] he — this one? and where [is] this one? — he whose heart hath filled him to do so?'
6 Esther mah, Kasae sak han pacaeng misa loe, kahoih ai kami Haman hae ni, tiah a naa. To naah Haman loe siangpahrang hoi siangpahrang zu hmaa ah paroeai tasoehhaih hoiah oh.
And Esther saith, 'The man — adversary and enemy — [is] this wicked Haman;' and Haman hath been afraid at the presence of the king and of the queen.
7 Siangpahrang loe palungphui, misurtui naekhaih ahmuen hoiah angthawk moe, siangpahrang ih takha thungah caeh ving; siangpahrang mah anih nuiah kasae lok takroekhaih sak boeh, tiah Haman mah panoek pongah, siangpahrang zu Esther hmaa ah angdoet moe, a hinghaih pathlung hanah tahmenhaih a hnik.
And the king hath risen, in his fury, from the banquet of wine, unto the garden of the house, and Haman hath remained to seek for his life from Esther the queen, for he hath seen that evil hath been determined against him by the king.
8 Siangpahrang ih takha thung hoiah buhraenghaih im ih misurtui naekhaih ahmuen ah siangpahrang amlaem let naah, Haman loe Esther anghnuthaih tangkhang pongah amtim sut. Siangpahrang mah, Ka hmaa ah siangpahrang ih zu zae haih hanah na poek maw? tiah a naa. Siangpahrang mah to tiah lok thuih pacoengah, a tamnanawk mah Haman ih mikhmai to zaeng pae o khoep.
And the king hath turned back out of the garden of the house unto the house of the banquet of wine, and Haman is falling on the couch on which Esther [is], and the king saith, 'Also to subdue the queen with me in the house?' the word hath gone out from the mouth of the king, and the face of Haman they have covered.
9 Siangpahrang toksah angraeng, Harbonah, tiah kawk ih kami mah siangpahrang khaeah, Khenah, siangpahrang bomkung Mordekai bangh hanah, Haman mah sak ih dong quipangato kasang tung maeto Haman im taengah oh, tiah a naa. Siangpahrang mah, To tung pongah anih hae bang o ah, tiah a naa.
And Harbonah, one of the eunuchs, saith before the king, 'Also lo, the tree that Haman made for Mordecai, who spake good for the king, is standing in the house of Haman, in height fifty cubits;' and the king saith, 'Hang him upon it.'
10 To pongah Mordekai bangh hanah sak ih tung pongah, Haman angmah to bangh o lat. To pacoengah loe siangpahrang palungphuihaih to dip.
And they hang Haman upon the tree that he had prepared for Mordecai, and the fury of the king hath lain down.
