Now this is the mitzvot ·instructions·, the statutes, and the judgments, which Adonai your God enjoined to teach you, that you might do them in the land where you go over to possess it;
2 To tiah ni nangmah hoi na caanawk, na caanawk ih caa patoengnawk mah, kang paek ih lokcaekhaih hoi zaehhoihaih daan loknawk to hing thung pazui o tih, na Angraeng Sithaw to zii o ueloe, hinglung doeh sawk o tih.
that you might fear Adonai your God, to keep all his statutes and his mitzvot ·instructions·, which I enjoin you; you, and your son, and your son’s son, all the days of your life; and that your days may be prolonged.
3 Aw Israel kaminawk, tahngai oh; nam panawk ih Angraeng Sithaw mah nangcae khaeah thuih ih lok baktih toengah, nangcae loe tahnutui hoi khoitui longhaih prae ah, khosak na hoih o tih, pop parai ah nang pung o thaih hanah, acoehaih hoiah pazui oh.
Sh'ma ·Hear understand obey· therefore, Israel [God prevails], and observe to do it; that it may be well with you, and that you may increase mightily, as Adonai, the God of your fathers, has promised to you, in a land flowing with milk and honey.
4 Aw Israel kaminawk, tahngai oh; aicae Angraeng Sithaw loe, maeto khue kaom Angraeng ah oh.
Sh'ma ·Hear obey·, Israel [God prevails]: Yahweh is our God. Yahweh is echad ·one, one unity·.
5 Na Angraeng Sithaw to na palungthin boih, na hinghaih boih, na thacakhaih boih hoiah palung ah.
You shall את 'ahav ·affectionately love· Yahweh your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might.

These words, which I enjoin you today, shall be on your heart;

and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.
8 Na ban pongah to loknawk to angmathaih ah pathlet oh loe, na mik salak ih lu pataeh nuiah doeh zaeng oh.
You shall bind them for a sign on your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes.
9 Na khongkha hoi na imthung ih tung pongah doeh tarik oh.
You shall write them on the door posts of your house, and on your gates.
10 Na Angraeng Sithaw mah na sah o ai ih kalen parai, kahoih phi vangpuinawk nangcaeh khaeah paek hanah, nam pa Abraham, Isak hoi Jakob khaeah lokkam ih prae thungah ang caeh haih naah loe,
It shall be, when Adonai your God brings you into the land which he swore to your fathers, to Abraham [Father of a multitude], to Isaac [Laughter], and to Jacob [Supplanter], to give you, great and goodly cities, which you didn’t build,
11 na sah o ai ih kahoih hmuennawk hoiah kakoi imnawk, na takaeh o ai ih tuikhawnawk, na patit o ai ih misur takhanawk hoi olive kungnawk to caak moe, zok nam hah o haih atue om tih.
and houses full of all good things, which you didn’t fill, and cisterns dug out, which you didn’t dig, vineyards and olive trees, which you didn’t plant, and you shall eat and be full;
12 Misong ah na oh o haih, Izip prae thung hoiah zaehoikung, Angraeng to na pahnet o han ai ah acoe oh.
then beware lest you forget Adonai, who brought you out of the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery], out of the house of bondage.
13 Na Angraeng Sithaw to zii oh loe, anih ih tok khue to sah oh; anih ih ahmin hoiah lokkamhaih to sah oh.
You shall fear Adonai your God; and you shall abad ·serve· him, and shall swear by his name.
14 Nangcae taengah kaom kaminawk ih, sithawnawk hoi kalah sithawnawk hnukah patom o hmah;
You shall not go after other deities, of the deities of the peoples who are around you;
15 to tih ai nahaeloe nangcae salakah kaom, na Angraeng Sithaw loe ut panoek Sithaw ah oh pongah, nangcae nuiah na Angraeng Sithaw palungphuihaih hmai baktiah kangh ueloe, long nui hoiah na tamit o boih moeng tih.
for Adonai your God among you is El Kana' [Jealous God]; lest the anger of Adonai your God be kindled against you, and he destroy you from off the face of the earth.
16 Massah ah na sak o ih baktih toengah, na Angraeng Sithaw to tanoek o hmah.
You shall not tempt Adonai your God, as you tempted him in Massah [Testing].
17 Na Angraeng Sithaw mah paek ih, pazui han koi a thuih ih loknawk hoi zaehhoihaih daannawk to nangcae mah kahoih ah pazui oh.
You shall diligently keep the mitzvot ·instructions· of Adonai your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he has enjoined you.
18 Angraeng hmaa ah katoeng hoi kahoih hmuen to sah oh; to tiah nahaeloe Angraeng mah nam panawk khaeah paek han lokkam ih, prae thungah na kun o thaih ueloe, khosak na hoih o tih,
You shall do that which is right and good in Adonai’s sight; that it may be well with you, and that you may go in and possess the good land which Adonai swore to your fathers,
19 Angraeng mah thuih ih lok baktih toengah, na misanawk to nangmacae hma ah nam khueng o sak boih tih.
to thrust out all your enemies from before you, as Adonai has spoken.
20 Hmabang tue ah na caa mah, Aicae Angraeng Sithaw mah thuih ih pazui han koi loknawk hoi lokcaekhaihnawk loe tih thuih koehhaih ih aa? tiah dueng nahaeloe,
Some day when your child asks you in time to come, saying, “What do the testimonies, the statutes, and the judgments, which Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God] has enjoined you mean?”
21 na caa khaeah, Kaicae loe Izip prae ah Faro ih misong ah ka oh o; toe a ban thacakhaih hoiah Angraeng mah Izip prae thung hoiah tacawt haih;
then you shall tell your child, “We were Pharaoh’s slaves in Egypt [Abode of slavery]. Adonai brought us out of Egypt [Abode of slavery] with a mighty hand;
22 Angraeng mah kaicae mikhnuk ah, angmathaih, dawnrai hmuennawk, zit kathok, kalen parai hmuennawk to Izip prae, Faro hoi anih ih imthung takoh boih nuiah phaksak.
and Adonai showed great and awesome signs and wonders on Egypt [Abode of slavery], on Pharaoh, and on all his house, before our eyes;
23 Toe aicae ampanawk khaeah paek hanah sak ih lokkamhaih baktih toengah, to prae thungah akunsak hanah Izip prae thung hoiah kaicae hae ang tacawt haih.
and he brought us out from there, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he swore to our fathers.
24 Aicae Angraeng Sithaw to zit moe, hae zaehhoihaih daannawk pazui boih hanah, Angraeng mah lokthuih; vaihni khoek to anih mah tahmenhaih amtuengsak baktih toengah, aicae hinghaih doeh na pathlung pae tih.
Adonai enjoined us to do all these statutes, to fear Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God], for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as we are today.
25 Hae kaaloknawk hae aicae Angraeng Sithaw hmaa ah a pazui o thaih boih nahaeloe, aicae toenghaih ah om tih, tiah thui pae oh, tiah a naa.
It shall be righteousness to us, if we observe to do all this mitzvot ·instructions· before Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God], as he has enjoined us.”
