1 Israel kacoehtanawk hoi kaminawk khaeah Mosi mah thuih ih lok loe, Vaihniah kang paek ih kaaloknawk hae pakuem o boih ah.
Then Moses and the elders of Israel commanded the people: “Keep all the commandments I am giving you today.
2 Na Angraeng Sithaw mah paek ih prae thungah na kun o moe, Jordan vapui nang kat o naah, kalen parai thlung to pakhueng oh loe, thlung bethaih kaw hoiah bet oh.
And on the day you cross the Jordan into the land that the LORD your God is giving you, set up large stones and coat them with plaster.
3 Nam panawk ih Angraeng Sithaw mah nangcae khaeah sak ih lokkamhaih baktih toengah, nangcae han paek ih prae, tahnutui hoi khoitui longhaih prae thungah akun moe, vapui nang kat o naah, hae kaaloknawk hae thlung pongah tarik o boih ah.
Write on them all the words of this law when you have crossed over to enter the land that the LORD your God is giving you, a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has promised you.
4 To pongah Jordan vapui nang kat o pacoengah, vaihniah kang thuih o ih lok baktih toengah, Ebal mae ah thlung to tling oh loe, thlung bethaih kaw hoiah bet oh.
And when you have crossed the Jordan, you are to set up these stones on Mount Ebal, as I am commanding you today, and you are to coat them with plaster.
5 To ahmuen ah na Angraeng Sithaw hanah, hmaicam maeto thlung hoiah sah oh; to thlung nuiah kawbaktih sum doeh tling o hmah.
Moreover, you are to build there an altar to the LORD your God, an altar of stones. You must not use any iron tool on them.
6 Na Angraeng Sithaw ih hmaicam to thlung hoi khue ah sah oh, to thlung nuiah na Angraeng Sithaw khaeah angbawnhaih to sah oh.
You shall build the altar of the LORD your God with uncut stones and offer upon it burnt offerings to the LORD your God.
7 Angdaeh angbawnhaih to sah oh loe, na Angraeng Sithaw khaeah anghoehaih hoiah caa oh.
There you are to sacrifice your peace offerings, eating them and rejoicing in the presence of the LORD your God.
8 Na raemh o ih thlung nuiah hae ih kaaloknawk boih hae kamnoek ah tarik oh, tiah a thuih pae.
And you shall write distinctly upon these stones all the words of this law.”
9 To pacoengah Mosi hoi Levi acaeng qaimanawk mah Israel kaminawk boih khaeah, Aw Israel kaminawk, acoehaih hoiah tahngai oh; nangcae loe vaihniah na Angraeng Sithaw ih kami ah na oh o boeh.
Then Moses and the Levitical priests spoke to all Israel: “Be silent, O Israel, and listen! This day you have become the people of the LORD your God.
10 Na Angraeng Sithaw ih lok to tahngai oh loe, vaihniah kang paek o ih, anih ih kaalok hoi lokcaekhaihnawk to tahngai oh, tiah a naa.
You shall therefore obey the voice of the LORD your God and follow His commandments and statutes I am giving you today.”
11 Mosi mah to na niah kaminawk khaeah thuih pae let ih lok loe,
On that day Moses commanded the people:
12 Jordan vapui nang kat o pacoengah, kaminawk tahamhoihaih paek hanah, Gerizim mae nuiah angdoe han koi kaminawk loe Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issakar, Joseph hoi Benjamin acaengnawk hae ni.
“When you have crossed the Jordan, these tribes shall stand on Mount Gerizim to bless the people: Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph, and Benjamin.
13 To pacoengah Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan hoi Naphtali acaengnawk loe tangoeng hanah Ebal mae ah angdoe o tih.
And these tribes shall stand on Mount Ebal to deliver the curse: Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
14 Levi kaminawk mah Israel kaminawk boih khaeah, hae tiah thaa hoi lok to thui pae o tih:
Then the Levites shall proclaim in a loud voice to every Israelite:
15 Angraeng mah panuet ih hmuen, bantok sah kop kami mah sak ih krang hoi kanghmong ah thuk ih krangnawk to panoek ai ih ahmuen ah tamquta hoi kasuem kami loe, tangoeng ih kami ah oh, tiah thuih naah, kami boih mah, Amen, tiah thuih o han oh.
‘Cursed is the man who makes a carved idol or molten image—an abomination to the LORD, the work of the hands of a craftsman—and sets it up in secret.’
16 Amno hoi ampa khingya ai kami loe tangoeng ih kami ah oh, tiah thuih naah, kami boih mah, Amen, tiah thuih o han oh.
‘Cursed is he who dishonors his father or mother.’
17 A imtaeng kami ih ramri tahruet pae kami loe tangoeng ih kami ah oh, tiah thuih naah, kami boih mah, Amen, tiah thuih o han oh.
‘Cursed is he who moves his neighbor’s boundary stone.’
18 Mikmaeng lam amkhraengsak kami loe tangoeng ih kami ah oh, tiah thuih naah, kami boih mah, Amen, tiah thuih o han oh.
‘Cursed is he who lets a blind man wander in the road.’
19 Angvinnawk, amno ampa tawn ai kaminawk hoi lamhmainawk nuiah, katoeng ai ah lokcaek kami loe tangoeng ih kami ah oh, tiah thuih naah, kami boih mah, Amen, tiah thuih o han oh.
‘Cursed is he who withholds justice from the foreigner, the fatherless, or the widow.’
20 Ampa ih iihkhun khingya ai moe, ampa ih zu iip haih kami loe tangoeng ih kami ah oh, tiah thuih naah, kami boih mah, Amen, tiah thuih o han oh.
‘Cursed is he who sleeps with his father’s wife, for he has violated his father’s marriage bed.’
21 Kawbaktih pacah ih moi hoiah doeh zaehaih sah kami loe tangoeng ih kami ah oh, tiah thuih naah, kami boih mah, Amen, tiah thuih o han oh.
‘Cursed is he who lies with any animal.’
22 A tanu, ampa ih canu, to tih ai boeh loe amno ih canu iip haih kami loe tangoeng ih kami ah oh, tiah thuih naah, kami boih mah, Amen, tiah thuih o han oh.
‘Cursed is he who sleeps with his sister, the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother.’
23 Amsae nongpata iip haih kami loe tangoeng ih kami ah oh, tiah thuih naah, kami boih mah, Amen, tiah thuih o han oh.
‘Cursed is he who sleeps with his mother-in-law.’
24 A imtaeng kami tamquta hoi hum kami loe tangoeng ih kami ah oh, tiah thuih naah, kami boih mah, Amen, tiah thuih o han oh.
‘Cursed is he who strikes down his neighbor in secret.’
25 Zaehaih tawn ai kami hum han phoisa talawk kami moe, tangoeng ih kami ah oh, tiah thuih naah, kami boih mah, Amen, tiah thuih o han oh.
‘Cursed is he who accepts a bribe to kill an innocent person.’
26 Hae ih kaaloknawk pazui boih ai kami loe tangoeng ih kami ah oh, tiah thuih naah, kami boih mah, Amen, tiah thuih o han oh.
‘Cursed is he who does not put the words of this law into practice.’
