< Deuteronomy 11 >

1 To pongah na Angraeng Sithaw to palung oh loe, ang thuih o ih loknawk, a zaehhoihaih daannawk, a lokcaekhaihnawk hoi kaaloknawk to pakuem o poe ah.
Therefore love the Lord thy God and observe his precepts and ceremonies, his judgments and commandments at all times.
2 Na Angraeng Sithaw ih thuitaekhaih, lensawkhaih, ban thacakhaih, ban payanghaih,
Know this day the things that your children know not, who saw not the chastisements of the Lord your God. his great doings and strong hand, and stretched out arm,
3 A sak ih hmuennawk hoi dawnrai hmuennawk, Izip prae ah, Izip siangpahrang Faro hoi anih ih kaminawk khaeah sak ih hmuennawk,
The signs and works which he did in the midst of Egypt to king Pharao, and to all his land,
4 Izip misatuh kaminawk, hrang angthueng kaminawk hoi nihcae ih hrang lakoknawk nuiah sak ih hmuennawk, kawbangah maw nangcae patom kaminawk to kathim tuipui thungah uemsak king, Angraeng mah kawbangah maw nihcae to vaihni khoek to amrosak;
And to all the host of the Egyptians, and to their horses and chariots: how the waters of the Red Sea covered them, when they pursued you, and how the Lord destroyed them until this present day:
5 hae ahmuen ah na pha o ai vop, praezaek ah nam het o nathuem ah, nangcae han a sak ih hmuennawk,
And what he hath done to you in the wilderness, till you came to this place:
6 Reuben acaeng, Eliab ih caa hnik, Dathan hoi Abiram khaeah a sak ih hmuennawk, kawbangah maw Israel kaminawk boih hma ah long mah pakha aangh moe, nihnik hoi a imthung takoh boih, a oh hoi haih im hoi a tawnh o ih hmuennawk boih paaeh pae king, tito panoek ai na caanawk khaeah ka thui pae ai; vaihniah to hmuen kawng to na panoek o han oh.
And to Dathan and Abiron the sons of Eliab, who was the son of Ruben: whom the earth, opening her mouth swallowed up with their households and tents, and all their substance, which they had in the midst of Israel.
7 Angraeng mah sak ih kalen parai hmuennawk to mik hoiah na hnuk o boeh.
Your eyes have seen all the greet works of the Lord, that he hath done,
8 To pongah vaihniah kang paek o ih loknawk to pazui o boih ah; to tiah nahaeloe na caeh o moe, qawk ah na toep o han ih prae thungah, thacakhaih hoiah na kun o thai tih;
That you may keep all his commandments, which I command you this day, and may go in, and possess the land, to which you are entering,
9 Angraeng mah nam saenawk hoi nihcae ih caanawk khaeah paek han lokkam ih prae, tahnutui hoi khoitui longhaih prae thungah, na hinglung sawk o tih.
And may live in it a long time: which the Lord promised by oath to your fathers, and to their seed, a land which floweth with milk and honey.
10 Na caeh o moe, na toep o han ih prae loe, aanmu na haeh o moe, khok hoiah tui na bawh o ih, nang zoh o haih, Izip prae baktiah om ai.
For the land, which thou goest to possess, is not like the land of Egypt, from whence thou camest out, where, when the seed is sown, waters are brought in to water it after the manner of gardens.
11 Toe na caeh o moe, na toep o han ih prae loe, maesom hoi azawn kapop prae ah oh moe, van ih khotui kanae prae,
But it is a land of hills and plains, expecting rain from heaven.
12 na Angraeng Sithaw mah saning amtonghaih hoi boeng khoek to khetzawn ih prae ah oh.
And the Lord thy God doth always visit it, and his eyes are on it from the beginning of the year unto the end thereof.
13 Na Angraeng Sithaw to na palung o moe, a tok to na palungthin boih, na hinghaih boih hoiah na sak o pacoengah, vaihniah kang paek o ih lok to kahoih ah na pazui o nahaeloe,
If then you obey my commandments, which I command you this day, that you love the Lord your God, and serve him with all your heart, and with all your soul:
14 cang maw, misurtui maw, situi maw na tawnh o thai hanah, kakrah hmaloe khotui hoi hnukkhuem khotui to, angmah ih atue phak naah kang zohsak han.
He will give to your land the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your corn, and your wine, and your oil,
15 Zok kamhah ah na caak o thai hanah, maitaw pacahhaih qam kahing to kang sai o sak han.
And your hay out of the fields to feed your cattle, and that you may eat and be filled.
16 Na palungthin to aling moe, loklam amkhraeng ving han ai ah; kalah sithawnawk to bok moe, a tok na sak pae o han ai ah acoe oh;
Beware lest perhaps your heart be deceived, and you depart from the Lord, and serve strange gods, and adore them:
17 to tih ai nahaeloe Angraeng palungphuihaih nangcae nuiah hmai baktiah kangh ueloe, kho angzoh han ai ah, van thok to kha ving moeng tih; long ah thingthai tacawt mak ai, to naah Angraeng mah paek ih prae thung hoiah karangah nam ro o tih.
And the Lord being angry shut up heaven, that the rain come not down, nor the earth yield her fruit, and you perish quickly from the excellent land, which the Lord will give you.
18 To pongah kang thuih o ih loknawk hae na palungthin thungah pakuem oh, na ban ah zaeng oh loe, na mik salak ih lu pataeh ah kom oh.
Lay up these my words in your hearts and minds, and hang them for a sign on your hands, and place them between your eyes.
19 Na caanawk to patuk oh loe, im ah nang hnut o moe, loklam na caeh o naah doeh, na iih moe, nang thawk o naah doeh thui oh.
Teach your children that they meditate on them, when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou walkest on the way, and when thou liest down and risest up.
20 Na im thok tung ah doeh tarik oh loe, khongkha ah doeh tarik oh.
Thou shalt write them upon the posts and the doors of thy house:
21 To tiah nahaeloe Angraeng mah nam panawk khaeah paek han lokkam ih prae ah, nangcae hoi na caanawk ih hinghaih loe van hinglung sawkhaih baktiah sawk o tih.
That thy days may be multiplied, and the days of thy children in the land which the Lord swore to thy fathers, that he would give them as long as the heaven hangeth over the earth.
22 Angraeng Sithaw to na palung o; a caehhaih loklam ah na caeh o moe, anih to kacakah na patawn o thai hanah, pazui han kang paek o ih loknawk to acoehaih hoiah na pazui o boih nahaeloe,
For if you keep the commandments which I command you, and do them, to love the Lord your God, and walk in all his ways, cleaving unto him,
23 hae kaminawk hae Angraeng mah na hmaa hoiah na haek pae boih ueloe, nangcae pong kalen kue, thacak kue acaengnawk to anih mah na pazawk pae tih.
The Lord will destroy all these nations before your face, and you shall possess them, which are greater and stronger than you.
24 Khok hoi na cawh o ih ahmuen boih nangcae ih ahmuen ah om tih; na prae loe praezaek hoi Lebanon khoek to, Euphrates vapui hoi niduem bang ih tuipui khoek to kawk tih.
Every place, that your foot shall tread upon, shall be yours. From the desert, and from Libanus, from the great river Euphrates unto the western sea shall be your borders.
25 Mi kawbaktih doeh nangcae hmaa ah angdoet o thaih han ai ah, na Angraeng Sithaw mah ang thuih o ih lok baktih toengah, khok hoiah na cawh o ih ahmuen ah kaom kaminawk boih khaeah, na Angraeng Sithaw mah nangcae zithaih palungthin to suem pae tih.
None shall stand against you: the Lord your God shall lay the dread and fear of you upon all the land that you shall tread upon, as he hath spoken to you.
26 Khenah, vaihniah nangcae hma ah, tahamhoihaih hoi tangoenghaih to ka suek;
Behold I set forth in your sight this day a blessing and a curse:
27 vaihniah kang paek o ih, na Angraeng Sithaw ih lok to na tahngaih o nahaeloe, taham na hoih o tih;
A blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day:
28 toe na Angraeng Sithaw ih lok na tahngai o ai, vaihniah kang paek o ih loknawk doeh nang qoi o taak moe, na panoek o ai ih kalah sithawnawk hnukah na bang o nahaeloe, tangoenghaih na tong o tih.
A curse, if you obey not the commandments of the Lord your. God, but revolt from the way which now I shew you, and walk after strange gods which you know not.
29 Na Angraeng Sithaw mah, na caeh o moe, na toep o han ih prae thungah ang caeh o haih naah, Gerizim mae nuiah tahamhoihaih to om ueloe, Ebal mae nuiah loe tangoenghaih to om tih.
And when the Lord thy God shall have brought thee into the land, whither thou goest to dwell, thou shalt put the blessing upon mount Garizim, the curse upon mount Hebal:
30 To maenawk loe Jordan vapui zaeh, niduem bangah kaom, Kanaan kaminawk ohhaih, Moreh azawn taeng ih, Gilgal vangpui ah na ai maw oh o?
Which are beyond the Jordan, behind the way that goeth to the setting of the sun, in the land of the Chanaanite who dwelleth in the plain country over against Galgala, which is near the valley that reacheth and entereth far.
31 Na Angraeng Sithaw mah paek ih prae thungah akun thai hanah, Jordan vapui angkat pacoengah, prae to na toep o ueloe, to prae thungah kho na sah o tih.
For you shall pass over the Jordan, to possess the land, which the Lord your God will give you, that you may have it and possess it.
32 Vaihniah na hma ah kang suek pae o ih zaehhoihaih daannawk hoi lok takroekhaihnawk to na pazui o thai boih hanah acoe oh.
See therefore that you fulfill the ceremonies and judgments, which I shall set this day before you.
