King Nebuchadnezzar made a golden statue sixty cubits high and six cubits wide, and he set it up on the plain of Dura in the province of Babylon.
2 To pacoengah siangpahrang Nebuchadnezzar mah thling ih krang raenghaih poihkung ah, prae tawnkungnawk, prae taham khohan kaminawk, prae ahap ukkungnawk, poekhaih kahoih paek kaminawk, param ih phoisa pakuem kaminawk, lokcaekkungnawk, katoengah lok khingh kaminawk, prae ahap ukhaih thungah toksah angraengnawk to nawnto patoeh boih.
Then King Nebuchadnezzar sent word to assemble the satraps, prefects, governors, advisers, treasurers, judges, magistrates, and all the other officials of the provinces to attend the dedication of the statue he had set up.
3 To pongah prae tawnkungnawk, prae taham khohan kaminawk, prae ahap ukkugnnawk, poekhaih kahoih paekkugnawk, param ih phoisa pakuem kaminawk, lokcaekkungnawk, lok katoengah khingh kaminawk, prae ahap ukhaih thungah toksah angraengnawk loe siangpahrang Nebuchadnezzar mah thling ih krang raenghaih poihkung ah nawnto amkhueng o; nihcae loe Nebuchadnezzar mah thling ih krang hma ah angdoet o.
So the satraps, prefects, governors, advisers, treasurers, judges, magistrates, and all the rulers of the provinces assembled for the dedication of the statue that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up, and they stood before it.
4 To naah lok taphongkung mah, Aw kaminawk, prae kaminawk hoi lok congca pae kaminawk,
Then the herald loudly proclaimed, “O people of every nation and language, this is what you are commanded:
5 sae takii, tamoi, katoeng congca hoi atuennawk to na thaih o naah akuep oh loe, siangpahrang Nebuchadnezzar mah thling ih sui krang to bok oh:
As soon as you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipes, and all kinds of music, you must fall down and worship the golden statue that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up.

And whoever does not fall down and worship will immediately be thrown into the blazing fiery furnace.”
7 To pongah sae takii atuen, tamoi tuen, congca katoeng tuen hoi atuennawk to kaminawk boih mah thaih o naah, kaminawk, prae kaminawk hoi lok congca pae kaminawk loe akuep o boih moe, siangpahrang Nebuchadnezzar mah thling ih sui krang to bok o.
Therefore, as soon as all the people heard the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, and all kinds of music, the people of every nation and language would fall down and worship the golden statue that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
8 To naah cakaeh khet kop kaminawk angzoh o moe, Judah kaminawk to kasae net o.
At this time some astrologers came forward and maliciously accused the Jews,
9 Nihcae mah siangpahrang Nebuchadnezzar khaeah, Aw siangpahrang, na hinglung sawk nasoe!
saying to King Nebuchadnezzar, “O king, may you live forever!
10 Aw siangpahrang, kaminawk boih mah sae takii tuen, tamoi tuen, katoeng congca atuen hoi atuennawk thaih o naah, akuep oh loe sui hoi sak ih krang to bok oh:
You, O king, have issued a decree that everyone who hears the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipes, and all kinds of music must fall down and worship the golden statue,
11 akuep hoiah kabok ai kaminawk loe kangqong hmai palai thungah va oh, tiah lokpaekhaih to na sak.
and that whoever does not fall down and worship will be thrown into the blazing fiery furnace.
12 Toe Aw siangpahrang, nang mah Babylon ahap ukkung ah na suek ih thoemto Judah kaminawk Shadrach, Mesach hoi Abed-nego cae loe nang to tiah doeh sah o ai; na sithawnawk to bok o ai, na thling ih sui hoiah sak ih krang doeh bok o ai, tiah a naa.
But there are some Jews you have appointed to manage the province of Babylon—Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego—who have ignored you, O king, and have refused to serve your gods or worship the golden statue you have set up.”
13 Nebuchadnezzar loe palungphui hmai baktiah amngaeh pongah, Shadrach, Meshack hoi Abed-nego cae to kawksak. Kawk pacoengah nihcae to siangpahrang hma ah caeh o haih.
Then Nebuchadnezzar, furious with rage, summoned Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. So these men were brought before the king,
14 To naah Nebuchadnezzar mah nihcae khaeah, Aw Shadrach, Meshack hoi Abed-nego, ka sithawnawk to na bok o ai moe, ka thling ih sui hoiah sak ih krang doeh na bok o ai tangtang maw? tiah a naa.
and Nebuchadnezzar said to them, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, is it true that you do not serve my gods or worship the golden statue I have set up?
15 Vaihi sae takii tuen, tamoi tuen, congca katoeng tuen hoi atuennawk na thaih o naah, ka thling ih krang to akuep hoiah na bok o nahaeloe hoi tih; toe na bok o ai nahaeloe nangcae loe kangqong hmai palai thungah vah roep ah om tih; to naah kawbaktih Sithaw mah maw ka ban thung hoiah na loih o sak tih? tiah a naa.
Now, if you are ready, as soon as you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipes, and all kinds of music, you must fall down and worship the statue I have made. But if you refuse to worship, you will be thrown at once into the blazing fiery furnace. Then what god will be able to deliver you from my hands?”
16 Shadrach, Meshach hoi Abed-nego cae mah siangpahrang khaeah, Aw Nebuchadnezzar, hae hmuen pongah na lok kang pathim o mak ai.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter.
17 Aw siangpahrang, a tok ka sak pae o ih Sithaw mah loe kangqong hmai palai thung hoiah kaicae ang loihsak thaih, anih mah kaicae hae na ban thung hoiah loihsak tih.
If the God whom we serve exists, then He is able to deliver us from the blazing fiery furnace and from your hand, O king.
18 Toe aw siangpahrang, anih mah to tiah na loih o sak ai langlacadoeh na sithawnawk to ka bok o mak ai, na thling ih sui hoiah sak ih krang doeh ka bok o mak ai, tiah panoeksak han ka koeh o, tiah a naa o.
But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden statue you have set up.”
19 To naah Nebuchadnezzar loe Shadrach, Meshach hoi Abed-nego nuiah palungphui moe, nihcae nuiah mikhmai set; to pongah hmai kangqong rumram pongah alet sarihto hmai amngaehsak hanah lok a paek.
At this, Nebuchadnezzar was filled with rage, and the expression on his face changed toward Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He gave orders to heat the furnace seven times hotter than usual,
20 Angmah ih thacak koek misatuh kaminawk khaeah, Shadrach, Meshach hoi Abed-nego cae to taoengh moe, hmai kamngaeh thungah vah hanah lokpaek.
and he commanded some mighty men of valor in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and throw them into the blazing fiery furnace.
21 To pongah nihcae loe angmacae ih laihaw kasawk, canghnawh kasawk, lumuek, kalah khukbuennawk hoi nawnto taoengh o moe, kangqong hmai kamngaeh thungah vah o.
So they were tied up, wearing robes, trousers, turbans, and other clothes, and they were thrown into the blazing fiery furnace.
22 Siangpahrang mah paek ih lok loe rang moe, hmai kamngaeh loe bet hmoek pongah Shadrach, Meshach hoi Abed-nego hmai thungah va misatuh kaminawk to hmai palai mah kangh boih.
The king’s command was so urgent and the furnace so hot that the fiery flames killed the men who carried up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
23 Hae kami Shadrach, Meshach hoi Abed-nego thumtonawk loe kacakah taoengh o moe, kangqong hmai kamngaeh thungah a nuih o.
And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, firmly bound, fell into the blazing fiery furnace.
24 To naah Nebuchadnezzar loe dawnrai pongah karangah angthawk tahang, anih poekhaih paek kaminawk khaeah, kami thumtonawk to qui hoi kacakah taoengh moe, kangqong hmai thungah a vah o na ai maw? tiah a naa.
Suddenly King Nebuchadnezzar jumped up in amazement and asked his advisers, “Did we not throw three men, firmly bound, into the fire?” “Certainly, O king,” they replied.
25 Anih mah, Khenah! Qui hoi taoeng ai hmai mah doeh kangh ai ah hmai kangqong thungah amkae, kami palito ka hnuk; palito haih kami loe Sithaw Capa baktiah oh, tiah a naa.
“Look!” he exclaimed. “I see four men, unbound and unharmed, walking around in the fire—and the fourth looks like a son of the gods!”
26 To pacoengah Nebuchadnezzar loe kangqong hmai kamngaeh taengah caeh moe, Sharach, Meshach hoi Abed-nego, kasang koek Sithaw ih tamnanawk, angzo oh, haeah angzo oh lai ah! tiah a naa. To pongah Sharach, Meshah hoi Abed-nego cae loe hmai palai thung hoiah angzoh o.
Then Nebuchadnezzar approached the door of the blazing fiery furnace and called out, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out!” So Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out of the fire,
27 Prae tawnkungnawk, prae taham khohnan kaminawk, siangpahrang poekhaih paekkugnawk nawnto angpop o moe, hmai mah kang thai ai kami thumtonawk to a khet o; nihcae lu nui ih sam maeto mataeng doeh kangh ai, khukbuennawk doeh hmai mah kangh ai khue na ai ah, hmai hmui tetta mataeng doeh om ai.
and when the satraps, prefects, governors, and royal advisers had gathered around, they saw that the fire had no effect on the bodies of these men. Not a hair of their heads was singed, their robes were unaffected, and there was no smell of fire on them.
28 To naah Nebuchadnezzar mah, Shadrach, Meshach hoi Abed-nego ih Sithaw loe tahamhoihaih om nasoe; anih mah a tamnanawk loihsak hanah van kami to patoeh. Nihcae loe angmacae ih Sithaw to tang o pongah, ka paek ih lok to aek o moe, angmacae ih Sithaw khue to a bok o; kalah sithaw to bok moe, anih ih tok to sak pae o pongah loe, duekhaih to a qoih o lat.
Nebuchadnezzar declared, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent His angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him. They violated the king’s command and risked their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God.
29 Hae tiah loihsak thaih Sithaw kalah om ai pongah, kaminawk, prae kaminawk hoi lok congca apae mi kawbaktih doeh Sharach, Meshach hoi Abed-nego ih Sithaw kasae thui kami loe, ahap ahap ah takroek moe, a imnawk doeh angpop sut anghnoeng baktiah ka suek han, tiah lok takroekhaih ka sak boeh, tiah a naa.
Therefore I decree that the people of any nation or language who say anything offensive against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego will be cut into pieces and their houses reduced to rubble. For there is no other god who can deliver in this way.”
30 To pacoengah siangpahrang mah Sharach, Meshach hoi Abed-nego hanah Babylon prae ahap ukhaih hmuensang to a paek.
Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the province of Babylon.
