Daniel 10
1 Persia siangpahrang Cyrus angraenghaih saning thumto haih naah, Belteshazzar, tiah kawk ih Daniel khaeah, hmuen maeto amtueng; hnuksak ih hmuen loe tangtang ah oh, toe atue loe sawk parai; anih mah to hmuen kawng to panoek, hnuksakhaih doeh panoek thaih.
In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia, a thing is revealed to Daniel, whose name is called Belteshazzar, and the thing [is] true, and the warfare [is] great: and he hath understood the thing, and hath understanding about the appearance.
2 Kai, Daniel loe to atue zarh thumto thung palungsethaih hoiah ka oh.
'In those days, I, Daniel, have been mourning three weeks of days;
3 Zarh thumto koep ai karoek to, caaknaek kahoih ah kaom takaw, moi hoi misurtuinawk roe ka pataengh ai, situi doeh kang nok ai.
desirable bread I have not eaten, and flesh and wine hath not come in unto my mouth, and I have not anointed myself at all, till the completion of three weeks of days.
4 Khrah tangsuekhaih ni pumphae palito naah, kai loe Hiddekel, tiah kawk ih Tigris vapui taengah kang doet;
'And in the twenty and fourth day of the first month, I have been by the side of the great river, that [is] Hiddekel:
5 ka khet tahang naah puu ngan laihaw angkhuk, kaeng ah kaciim sui kaengkaeh kangzaeng, kami maeto ka hnuk:
and I lift up mine eyes, and look, and lo, a certain one clothed in linen, and his loins girt with pure gold of Uphaz,
6 a takpum loe beryl thlung baktiah oh, a mikhmai loe tangphrapuek aengh baktiah ampha, a mik loe kangqong hmai baktiah oh, a ban hoi khok loe sum kamling baktiah ampha, a lok loe pop parai kaminawk ih lok baktiah oh.
and his body as a beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet as the aspect of bright brass, and the voice of his words as the voice of a multitude.
7 Hnuksakhaih loe kai, Daniel khue mah ni hnuk, kai hoi nawnto kaom kaminawk loe hnu o ai; nihcae loe paroeai zit o pongah anghawk hanah cawnh o ving.
'And I have seen — I, Daniel, by myself — the appearance: and the men who have been with me have not seen the appearance, but a great trembling hath fallen on them, and they flee to be hidden;
8 To pongah kai ang caeh o taak, hae kalen parai hnuksakhaih to ka khet naah, tha ka zok sut; mikhmai doeh duek sut moe, tha roe ka tawn ai.
and I have been left by myself, and I see this great appearance, and there hath been no power left in me, and my honour hath been turned in me to corruption, yea, I have not retained power.
9 Toe a thuih ih lok to ka thaih, a thuih ih lok ka thaih naah, long ah ka kuep moe, ka iih.
'And I hear the voice of his words, and when I hear the voice of his words, then I have been in a trance on my face, and my face [is] to the earth;
10 Khenah, ban maeto mah kai ang sui, ka banpadae hoi khokkhu hoiah kai ang pathawk tahang.
and lo, a hand hath come against me, and shaketh me on my knees and the palms of my hands.
11 Anih mah kai khaeah, Paroeai palung koi kaom, Aw Daniel, angdoe tahang ah loe, kang thuih ih loknawk to thaikop ah; vaihi nang khaeah kai ang patoeh boeh, tiah ang naa. Anih mah kai khaeah to tiah lok ang thuih pacoengah, kai loe tasoeh takuenhaih hoiah kang doet.
'And he saith unto me: Daniel, man greatly desired, attend to the words that I am speaking unto thee, and stand on thy station, for now I have been sent unto thee. 'And when he speaketh with me this word, I have stood trembling.
12 To naah anih mah, Daniel, zii hmah: panoek thaihaih tawnh hanah, na Sithaw hmaa ah poek pahnaemhaih hoi lawk na thuih tangsuek niah na thuih ih lok to ang thaih pae boeh; na thuih ih loknawk pongah ni kang zoh.
And he saith unto me: Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that thou didst give thy heart to understand, and to humble thyself before thy God, thy words have been heard, and I have come because of thy words.
13 Toe Persia siangpahrang khaeah ka oh naah, Persia prae ukkung angraeng mah ni pumphaeto pacoeng, nito thung kai ang pakaa: toe khenah, kai abomh hanah kalen koek toksah angraengnawk thung ih angraeng maeto ah kaom, Michael to angzoh.
'And the head of the kingdom of Persia is standing over-against me twenty and one days, and lo, Michael, first of the chief heads, hath come in to help me, and I have remained there near the kings of Persia;
14 Hnuksakhaih loe hmabang angzo han koi atuenawk to hnuksak pongah, nangmah ih kaminawk nuiah kaom han koi hmuen panoeksak han ih ni, vaihi nang khaeah kang zoh, tiah ang naa.
and I have come to cause thee to understand that which doth happen to thy people in the latter end of the days, for yet the vision [is] after days.
15 To tiah lok cae ang thuih pacoengah, kai loe mikhmai long ah ka kuep, lok ka pae thai ai.
'And when he speaketh with me about these things, I have set my face toward the earth, and have been silent;
16 Khenah, kami capa hoi kanghmong kami maeto mah, kai ih pahni to sui, to naah ka pakha to amongh moe, lok ka thuih, Aw ka Angraeng, hnuksakhaih pongah palung ka set moe, tha ka tawn ai, tiah ka hma ah angdoe anih khaeah ka thuih.
and lo, as the manner of the sons of men, he is striking against my lips, and I open my mouth, and I speak, and say unto him who is standing over-against me: My lord, by the appearance turned have been my pangs against me, and I have retained no power.
17 Kawbang maw na tamna mah ka angraeng khaeah lokthui thai tih? Tha ka tawn ai boeh, ka hinghaih takhi doeh amsah hawk boeh, tiah ka naa.
And how is the servant of this my lord able to speak with this my lord? as for me, henceforth there remaineth in me no power, yea, breath hath not been left in me.
18 To pacoengah kami hoi kanghmong maeto angzoh let moe, kai ang sui, anih mah kai tha ang caksak.
'And he addeth, and striketh against me, as the appearance of a man, and strengtheneth me,
19 Anih mah, Aw paroeai palung koi kaom kami, zii hmah: na nuiah monghaih om nasoe! Thacaksak ah, ue, na tha caksak lai ah! tiah ang naa. Anih mah lok ang thuih pacoengah, thacakhaih ka tawnh, to naah anih khaeah, ka angraeng lok na thui ah, tha nang caksak boeh, tiah ka naa.
and he saith: Do not fear, O man greatly desired, peace to thee, be strong, yea, be strong; and when he speaketh with me, I have strengthened myself, and I say, Let my lord speak, for thou hast strengthened me.
20 To pongah anih mah, tipongah nang khaeah kang zoh, tito na panoek maw? Persia ukkung angraeng hoi misa angtuk hanah vaihi kam laem let han boeh; ka caeh pacoengah, khenah, Grik ukkung angraeng to angzo tih.
And he saith, Hast thou known why I have come unto thee? and now I turn back to fight with the head of Persia; yea, I am going forth, and lo, the head of Javan hath come;
21 Toe loktang cabu thungah tarik ih lok to kang hnuksak han vop: na angraeng Michael khue ai ah loe, hae kaminawk misatuk hanah kai thapaek kami mi doeh om ai, tiah ang naa.
but I declare to thee that which is noted down in the Writing of Truth, and there is not one strengthening himself with me, concerning these, except Michael your head.
