1 Nihcae hoi kam praek o pacoengah, tui mah takui ih Kos prae ah ka caeh o poe, khawnbangah tui mah takui ih Rhodes prae ah ka caeh o, to ahmuen hoiah Patara vangpui ah ka caeh o:
When we had departed from them and had set sail, we came with a straight course to Cos, and the next day to Rhodes, and from there to Patara.
2 to naah Phonicia bangah kacaeh palong to ka hnuk o, to palong ah kang thueng o moe, ka caeh o.
Having found a ship crossing over to Phoenicia, we went aboard and set sail.
3 Cyprus to ka hnuk o naah, banqoi bangah kang qoi o, Syria prae ah ka caeh o moe, Tura vangpui ah kang hak o: toah palong thung ih hmuennawk to ka puen o.
When we had come in sight of Cyprus, leaving it on the left hand, we sailed to Syria and landed at Tyre, for the ship was there to unload her cargo.
4 Toah hnukbang kaminawk to ka hnuk o, nihcae khaeah ni tarukto ka cam o: nihcae mah Muithla rang hoiah Pawl khaeah Jerusalem ah caeh han ai ah thuih pae o.
Having found disciples, we stayed there seven days. These said to Paul through the Spirit that he should not go up to Jerusalem.
5 Toe camhaih ni boeng pacoengah loe nihcae to ka caeh o taak moe, kholong caeh kam tong o; nihcae mah a zu a caanawk boih hoi vangpui tasa bang karoek to ang thak o: to pacoengah tui taengah cangkrawn o moe, lawk ka thuih o.
When those days were over, we departed and went on our journey. They all, with wives and children, brought us on our way until we were out of the city. Kneeling down on the beach, we prayed.
6 Maeto hoi maeto ampraekhaih lok ka thuih o pacoengah, kaicae loe palong kang thueng o, nihcae loe im ah kam laem o let.
After saying goodbye to each other, we went on board the ship, and they returned home again.
7 Tura vangpui hoiah palong hoi ka caeh o moe, Ptolemai ah kang hak o, toah kaom nawkamyanawk to ban ka sin o, nihcae khaeah nito ka cam o.
When we had finished the voyage from Tyre, we arrived at Ptolemais. We greeted the brothers and stayed with them one day.
8 Khawnbangah Pawl hoi nawnto kholong caeh ampui, kaicae loe ka caeh o moe, Caesarea vangpui to ka phak o: tamthanglok taphong kami tarukto thungah maeto ah kaom, Philip im ah ka kun o moe, toah kang hak o.
On the next day, we who were Paul’s companions departed and came to Caesarea. We entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the seven, and stayed with him.

Now this man had four virgin daughters who prophesied.

As we stayed there some days, a certain prophet named Agabus came down from Judea.

Coming to us and taking Paul’s belt, he bound his own feet and hands, and said, “The Holy Spirit says: ‘So the Judeans at Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt, and will deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’”

When we heard these things, both we and the people of that place begged him not to go up to Jerusalem.

Then Paul answered, “What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Yeshua.”

When he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, “The Lord’s will be done.”

After these days we took up our baggage and went up to Jerusalem.
16 Caesarea vangpui ih hnukbang thoemto kaminawk doeh kaicae hoi nawnto angzoh o, anih hoi nawnto ka oh o hanah, saning coeh, hnukbang kami maeto ah kaom Mason, tiah kawk ih Cyprus kami to kaicae khaeah angzoh o haih.
Some of the disciples from Caesarea also went with us, bringing one Mnason of Cyprus, an early disciple, with whom we would stay.
17 Jerusalem vangpui ka phak o naah loe, nawkamyanawk mah kawnhaih hoiah ang dawt o.
When we had come to Jerusalem, the brothers received us gladly.
18 Khawnbangah loe Pawl hoi nawnto Jakob khaeah ka caeh o; kacoehtanawk loe toah oh o boih.
The day following, Paul went in with us to Jacob; and all the elders were present.
19 Pawl mah nihcae ban sin pacoengah, a toksakhaih rang hoiah Sithaw mah kawbangmaw Gentelnawk khaeah toksak, tito a thuih pae.
When he had greeted them, he reported one by one the things which God had worked amongst the Gentiles through his ministry.
20 Nihcae mah to lok to thaih o naah, Angraeng ih ahmin to saphaw o. Nihcae mah Pawl khaeah, Kam nawk, khenah, Judah kami nazetto mah maw tanghaih tawnh o, tito na hnuk boeh; nihcae loe kaalok pazui han tha pathok kami ah ni oh o boih.
They, when they heard it, glorified God. They said to him, “You see, brother, how many thousands there are amongst the Judeans of those who have believed, and they are all zealous for the Torah.
21 Gentelnawk salakah kaom Judah kaminawk mah Mosi to caeh o taak moe, a caanawk tangyat hin aah han ai hoi angmacae khosakhaih atawk doeh pazui han ai ah, nang mah patuk ti, tiah a thaih o boeh.
They have been informed about you, that you teach all the Jews who are amongst the Gentiles to forsake Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children and not to walk after the customs.
22 To pongah kawbangmaw tih han boeh? Kaminawk loe amkhueng ai ah om o mak ai, nang angzoh ti, tiah panoek o tih boeh.
What then? The assembly must certainly meet, for they will hear that you have come.
23 To pongah kang thuih o ih lok baktih toengah sah ah: kaicae khaeah lokkamhaih sah kami palito oh;
Therefore do what we tell you. We have four men who have taken a vow.
24 hae kaminawk hae caeh haih loe, nihcae hoi nawnto ciimcaihaih to sah ah, nihcae sam aahhaih atho to paek paeh: to tiah na sak nahaeloe kaminawk boih mah thuih o ih, nang kawng loe amsawn ni, tiah thui o tih; nang mah doeh daan to pazui ah loe, kahoihah khosah ah.
Take them and purify yourself with them, and pay their expenses for them, that they may shave their heads. Then all will know that there is no truth in the things that they have been informed about you, but that you yourself also walk keeping the Torah.
25 Sithaw tang Gentelnawk khaeah, to baktih hmuennawk pazui o hmah, krang bokhaih buh to caa o hmah, athii to caa o hmah, tahnong panamh moe, paduek ih moi to caa o hmah, kaciim ai nongpa nongpata zaehaih to sak o hmah, tiah ca ka tarik pae o boeh, tiah a naa o.
But concerning the Gentiles who believe, we have written our decision that they should observe no such thing, except that they should keep themselves from food offered to idols, from blood, from strangled things, and from sexual immorality.”
26 Khawnbangah loe Pawl mah to kaminawk to caeh haih moe, nihcae hoi nawnto ciimcaihaih to a sak, ciimcaihaih ni boeng pacoengah loe, nihcae boih mah angbawnhaih atue panoek o hanah, tempul ah a caeh haih.
Then Paul took the men, and the next day purified himself and went with them into the temple, declaring the fulfilment of the days of purification, until the offering was offered for every one of them.

When the seven days were almost completed, the Jews from Asia, when they saw him in the temple, stirred up all the multitude and laid hands on him,

crying out, “Men of Israel, help! This is the man who teaches all men everywhere against the people, and the Torah, and this place. Moreover, he also brought Greeks into the temple and has defiled this holy place!”
29 (Nihcae mah canghniah Pawl hoi nawnto kaom Efisa kami Trophima to vangpui thungah hnuk o boeh pongah, Pawl mah anih to tempul thungah akun haih mue, tiah a poek o: )
For they had seen Trophimus the Ephesian, with him in the city, and they supposed that Paul had brought him into the temple.
30 to naah vangpui boih ah lokpunghaih to oh, kaminawk loe nawnto cawnh o moe, amkhueng o; Pawl to naeh o moe, tempul thung hoiah tasa bangah zaeh o pacoengah, khongkha to khah o roep.
All the city was moved and the people ran together. They seized Paul and dragged him out of the temple. Immediately the doors were shut.
31 Jerusalem vangpui thung boih ah lokpunghaih to oh, Pawl hum hanah pacaeng o, tiah cumvaito ukkung misatuh angraeng mah thaih.
As they were trying to kill him, news came up to the commanding officer of the regiment that all Jerusalem was in an uproar.
32 To naah anih mah misatuh kaminawk hoi thoemto misatuh angraengnawk to karangah kawk moe, to kaminawk ohhaih ahmuen ah cawnh o tathuk: to kaminawk mah misatuh angraeng hoi misatuh kaminawk to hnuk o naah, Pawl to bop o ai anghngai o duem.
Immediately he took soldiers and centurions and ran down to them. They, when they saw the chief captain and the soldiers, stopped beating Paul.
33 Misatuh angraeng loe anih taengah caeh moe, Pawl to naeh pacoengah, sumqui hnetto hoiah pathlet hanah lokpaek; anih loe mi aa, tih hmuen maw a sak? tiah lok a dueng.
Then the commanding officer came near, arrested him, commanded him to be bound with two chains, and enquired who he was and what he had done.
34 Kaminawk thung ih thoemto kaminawk mah thuih ih lok maeto hoiah kalah thoemto kaminawk mah thuih ih lok to anghmong ai, to tiah lokpunghaih oh pongah, misatuh angraeng mah loktang to panoek thai ai; to pongah Pawl to misatuh kaminawk ohhaih im ah caeh o haih hanah lok a paek.
Some shouted one thing and some another, amongst the crowd. When he couldn’t find out the truth because of the noise, he commanded him to be brought into the barracks.

When he came to the stairs, he was carried by the soldiers because of the violence of the crowd;

for the multitude of the people followed after, crying out, “Away with him!”

As Paul was about to be brought into the barracks, he asked the commanding officer, “May I speak to you?” He said, “Do you know Greek?
38 Nang loe canghniah Izip kaminawk ih hmuenmae taek hanah, kami sang palito praezaek ah caeh haih kami na ai maw? tiah a naa.
Aren’t you then the Egyptian who before these days stirred up to sedition and led out into the wilderness the four thousand men of the Assassins?”
39 Pawl mah, Kai loe vangpui rumram ai, lokpui parai ah kaom Cicilia prae, Tarsa vangpui ah kaom, Judah kami ah ka oh, tiah pathim pae. Kaminawk khaeah lokthuih thaihaih na paek ah, tiah tahmenhaih a hnik.
But Paul said, “I am a Jew from Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of no insignificant city. I beg you, allow me to speak to the people.”

When he had given him permission, Paul, standing on the stairs, beckoned with his hand to the people. When there was a great silence, he spoke to them in the Hebrew language, saying,
