1 Judea prae hoiah thoemto kaminawk Antiok vangpui ah angzoh o moe, Mosi ih kaalok baktiah tangzat hin na aat o ai nahaeloe, pahlonghaih na hnu o thai mak ai, tiah nawkamyanawk to patuk o.
And, certain persons, coming down from Judea, began to teach the brethren—Except ye be circumcised according to the custom of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
2 Hae tiah patuk o ih lok pongah Pawl hoi Barnabas mah nihcae to aek hoi, hae kawng pongah lokdueng hanah, Pawl hoi Barnabas loe hnukbang thoemto kaminawk hoi nawnto Jerusalem ah, patoeh ih kaminawk hoi kacoehtanawk khaeah caeh han angaih, tiah a thuih hoi.
And, when Paul and Barnabas had had no little dissension and discussion with them, it was arranged that Paul and Barnabas and certain others from among them should go up unto the Apostles and Elders in Jerusalem concerning this question,
3 Kricaabu mah nihcae patoeh baktih toengah, nihcae loe Phonicia prae, Samaria prae thung hoiah caeh o moe, Gentelnawk poek amkhraihaih kawng to a thuih pae o: to naah nawkamyanawk boih paroeai anghoehaih tawnh o.
They, therefore, being set forward by the Assembly, began passing through Phoenicia and Samaria, fully relating the conversion of them of the nations, and were causing great joy unto all the brethren.
4 Nihcae Jerusalem phak o naah, nihcae to kricaabunawk, patoeh ih kaminawk hoi kacoehtanawk mah dawt o, nihcae patohhaih rang hoiah Sithaw mah sak ih hmuennawk to thuih pae o boih.
And, having arrived in Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the Assembly and the Apostles and the Elders; and they recounted all things God had done with them.
5 To naah Farasi abu thung ih thoemto tangcaanawk angdoet o moe, Gentelnawk loe tangzat hin aah moe, Mosi ih kaalok pazui han angaih, tiah a thuih o.
But there [had] stood forth some of those who, from the sect of Pharisees, had believed, saying—It is needful to be circumcising them, also to charge them to be keeping the law of Moses.
6 To kawng thuih hanah patoeh ih kaminawk hoi kacoehtanawk Jerusalem ah amkhueng o.
And the Apostles and Elders were gathered together to see about this matter.
7 Paroeai lok pung o naah, Piter mah angdoet tahang moe, Nawkamyanawk, Canghnii ah Sithaw mah aicae salakah qoih ih kami ah kaom, kai ih pakha thung hoiah Gentelnawk mah kahoih tamthang lok thaih o ueloe, tang o tih, tiah kaom lok to na panoek o boeh.
And, when much discussion had arisen, Peter standing up, said unto them—Brethren! Ye yourselves, well know that, in days long past, amongst you, God chose that, through my mouth, the nations should hear the word of the glad tidings, and believe.
8 Palungthin panoekkung Sithaw mah, Aicae khaeah paek ih baktih toengah, nihcae khaeah Kacai Muithla paek naah, nihcae loe hnukung ah oh o.
And, the heart-observing God, bare witness, —unto them, giving the Holy Spirit, just as, even unto us;
9 Aicae hoi nihcae lahhaih om ai, tanghaih rang hoiah nihcae ih palungthin to ciimsak boeh.
and made no distinction at all betwixt us and them, by their faith, purifying their hearts.
10 To tiah nahaeloe tih han ih aicae hoi aicae ampanawk mah phaw thai ai ih hmuen to, hnukbang kaminawk ih tahnong ah koeng pae hanah, Sithaw to na tanoek o loe?
Now, therefore, why are ye proving God, that ye should put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which, neither our fathers, nor we, have been able to bear.
11 Nihcae loe Angraeng Jesu tahmenhaih rang hoiah pahlong ah oh o baktih toengah, aicae doeh pahlong ah om tih, tiah a thuih pae.
But, through the favour of the Lord Jesus, we believe we shall be saved, in like manner as, even they.
12 Barnabas hoi Paul mah doeh Sithaw mah nihnik patohhaih rang hoiah Gentel kaminawk khaeah a sak hoi ih dawnrai hmuen hoi anghmang kathok hmuennawk to a thuih hoi toeng, to naah kaminawk boih anghngai o duem, a thuih hoi ih lok to tahngaih pae o.
And all the throng held their peace, and began to hearken unto Barnabas and Paul relating how many signs and wonders God had done among the nations, through them.
13 Nihnik lokthuih hoi pacoengah James mah, Nawkamyanawk, tahngai oh:
And, after they held their peace, James answered, saying—Brethren! hearken unto me.
14 Sithaw loe angmah ih ahmin hanah, Gentel thung hoiah thoemto kaminawk to lak hanah tangsuek nathuem hoi boeh ni nihcae khaeah caeh boeh, tiah Simon mah ang thuih o boeh.
Symeon, hath fully told how God, first visited, to take out of the nations, a people for his name.
15 Hae lok loe tahmaanawk mah thuih ih lok hoiah adue;
And, with this, agree the words of the prophets, according as it is written—
16 hae pacoengah Kam laem let moe, kamtimh tangcae, David ih kahni im to Ka sak let han; Ka pathawk let moe, kamro hmuennawk to ka sak let han:
After these things, will I return, and will rebuild the tent of David that hath fallen, and, the ruins thereof, will I rebuild, and will set it up again:
17 Ka hmin hoiah kawk ih, kaminawk hoi kanghmat Gentelnawk boih mah, Angraeng to pakrong o tih, tiah hae hmuennawk boih sahkung Angraeng mah thuih, tiah tarik ih lok to oh.
That the residues of men may seek out the Lord, and all the nations upon whom my name hath been called, saith the Lord that doeth these things,
18 Sithaw loe long amtong tangsuek nathuem hoiah a sak han koi toknawk to panoek boih boeh. (aiōn g165)

19 To pongah aicae mah Sithaw khaeah kangqoi Gentel kaminawk hae raihaih paek han om ai, tiah ka poek.
Wherefore, I, judge, not to be troubling them who, from the nations, are turning unto God;
20 Toe tangsuek nathuem hoiah Mosi kawng to vangpui kruekah taphong o boeh moe, Sabbath ni kruek anih kawng to Sineko ah kroek o boeh pongah, pakhra bokhaih moi to caa ai, zu sava laep ah nongpa nongpata zaehaih to sah ai, tahnong panamh moe, kadueh moi hoi athii to caa ai, ayae o hanah ca tarik pae si, tiah poekhaih ka tawnh, tiah a thuih.
but to write unto them, to abstain from the pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from what is strangled, and from blood.
For, Moses, out of ancient generation, hath, in every city, them who proclaim him; seeing, that in the synagogues, every sabbath, he is read.
22 To pacoengah patoeh ih kaminawk, kacoehtanawk hoi kricaabunawk boih mah angmacae thung hoiah qoih ih kaminawk to Antiok vangpui ah Pawl hoi Barnabas khaeah nawnto patoeh hanah palung adue o: nihcae mah nawkamynawk thungah kalen koek Juda, tiah ahmin kaom Barsabas hoi Silas to qoih o.
Then, seemed it good unto the Apostles and the Elders with the whole Assembly to send chosen men from among them unto Antioch, with Paul and Barnabas, —even Judas who is called Barsabbas, and Silas, men taking a lead among the brethren:
23 Nihcae mah, Patoeh ih kaminawk, kacoehtanawk, nawkamyanawk, Antiok, Syria hoi Cilicia prae ah kaom, Gentel nawkamyanawk: Ban kang sin o:
writing through their hand—The Apostles and the Elder Brethren, unto the brethren throughout Antioch and Syria and Cilicia, who are from among the nations, wish joy!
24 kaicae panoekhaih om ai ah, kaicae khae hoi thoemto kaminawk nangcae khaeah angzoh o moe, tangzat hin aah han angaih, kaalok pazui han angaih, tiah ang thuih o ih loknawk mah, raihaih ang paek o moe, palungthin nam ro o boeh, tiah ka thaih o.
Inasmuch as we had heard that, certain from among us, had troubled you with words, dismantling your souls, —unto whom we had given no instructions,
25 To pongah a palung o ih Pawl, Barnabas hnik hoi nawnto qoih ih kaminawk to nangcae khaeah patoeh si, tiah palung aduehaih ka tawnh o,
It seemed good unto us, coming to be of one accord, that we should choose men and send them unto you, with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, —

men who have given up their lives in behalf of the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
27 To pongah kang thuih o ih lok baktih toengah nangcae khaeah pakha hoi thuih hanah, Juda hoi Silas to kang patoeh o.
We have sent, therefore, Judas and Silas, who also, themselves, by word of mouth, can tell you the same things.
28 Kangaih hmuennawk laep ah, nangcae nuiah kalen hmuenzit koeng han om ai, tiah Kacai Muithla rang hoiah kho ka poek o;
For it hath seemed good unto the Holy Spirit and unto us, no greater burden, to be laying upon you, than these necessary things: —
29 krang bokhaih caaknaek, athii, tahnong panam moe, kadueh moi hoi zu sava laep ah nongpa nongpata zae sakhaihnawk to na yae o nahaeloe, ngan na tui o tih, tiah ca tarik pae o.
To be abstaining from idol sacrifices, and from blood, and from what is strangled, and from fornication, —From which, if ye keep yourselves, ye shall prosper. Fare ye well.
30 Antiok vangpui ah caeh hoi hanah, nihnik to patoeh o: toah paroeai kaminawk nawnto amkhuengsak moe, ca to a paek hoi:
They, therefore, being let go, came down unto Antioch; and, having gathered together the throng, delivered the letter,
31 nihcae mah ca to kroek o naah, thapaekhaih lok to oh pongah nihcae loe anghoe o.
and, when they read it, they rejoiced for the consolation.
32 Juda hoi Silas doeh tahmaa ah oh hoi pongah, nawkamyanawk khaeah paroeai thapaekhaih lok to a thuih pae hoi moe, palungthin thacak hoi sak.
And, both Judas and Silas, being themselves also prophets, with much discourse, consoled and confirmed the brethren.
33 Ni nazetto thungah maw a cam hoi pacoengah, nawkamyanawk mah nihnik to patoeh ih kaminawk khaeah lunghoihta ah amlaem o sak.
And, when they had spent a time, they were let go, in peace, from the brethren, unto them who had sent them.
34 Toe Silas loe toah cam han koeh vop.
35 Pawl hoi Barnabas loe Antiok vangpui ah oh hoi poe, Angraeng ih lok to kalah paroeai kaminawk khaeah doeh a thuih hoi moe, patuk hoi.
But, Paul and Barnabas, tarried in Antioch, teaching and telling the joyful tidings, —along with many others also, —of the word of the Lord.
36 Atue nazetto maw akra pacoengah Pawl mah Barnabas khaeah, Angraeng ih lok a thuih hoi haih vangpui kruekah caeh si loe, nawkamyanawk to paqai si, nihcae kawbangmaw oh o, tito khen si, tiah a naa.
And, after certain days, Paul, said unto Barnabas—Let us now return, and visit the brethren in every city in which we have declared the word of the Lord, and see how they are.
37 Barnabas mah Mark, tiah kawk o ih Johan to caeh haih han koeh.
And, Barnabas, was minded to take with them John also, called Mark;
38 Toe toksak hanah nihnik hoi nawnto caeh ai, Pamphylia vangpui ah nihnik to cawnhtaak ving pongah, Pawl mah Mark to caeh haih han koeh ai.
but Paul deemed it right, as to him who had withdrawn from them, back from Pamphylia, and had not gone with them unto the work, not to be taking with them, this, man.
39 Mark pongah paroeai lok angaek hoi moe, maeto hoi maeto ampraek hoi: to pongah Barnabas mah Mark to kawk moe, Cyprus ah caeh haih.
And there arose an angry feeling, so that they separated one from the other: and, Barnabas, taking Mark, sailed away unto Cyprus, —
40 Toe Sithaw tahmenhaih pongah nawkamyanawk mah thuih pae o ih, Silas to Pawl mah qoih moe, a caeh haih.
whereas, Paul, choosing Silas, went forth, committed unto the favour of the Lord by the brethren,
41 Anih loe Syria hoiah Cilicia prae ah caeh moe, kricaabunawk thapaekhaih lok to thuih.
and proceeded to pass through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the assemblies.
