< 2 Timote 3 >

1 Hnukkhuem niah loe, karai parai atue to om tih, tito panoek ah.
But this know thou, that in the latter days hard times will come:
2 Kaminawk loe angmah hoi angmah amlung kami, phoisa koeh hmoek kami, amoek kami, poeksang kami, Sithaw ih ahmin kasae thui kami, amno ampa lok tahngai ai kami, kawnhaih tawn ai kami, ciimcai ai kami,
and men will be lovers of themselves, and lovers of money, boasters, proud, censorious, unyielding towards their own people, denyers of grace, wicked,
3 amlunghaih tangtang tawn ai kami, misa koeh kami, amsawn zae net thaih kami, angsum thai ai kami, poeksae kami, hmuen kahoih koeh ai kami,
calumniators, addicted to concupiscence, ferocious, haters of the good,
4 poekcak ai kami, palungthah kami, poeksang kami, Sithaw palung pongah loe kahoih ai hmuen sak han koeh kue kami;
treacherous, rash, inflated, attached to pleasure more than to the love of God,
5 Sithaw tang kami baktiah angsak e, Sithaw thacakhaih tapom ai kami ah om o tih: to baktih kaminawk to ayae ah.
having a form of respect for God, but wide from the power of God. Them who are such, repel from thee.
6 To baktih kaminawk loe imthung ah akun o moe, thacak ai nongpatanawk to zae sak koehhaih hoiah pacuek kami, taksa zae koehhaih congca hoiah zoek kaminawk ah oh o,
For of them are they who creep into this and that house, and captivate the women who are plunged in sins and led away by divers lusts,
7 amtuk o toepsoep, toe loktang panoek thai ai kami ah oh o.
who are always learning, and can never come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Janne hoi Jambre mah Mosi ih lok aek hoi baktih toengah, to kaminawk mah doeh loktang lok to aek o toeng: nihnik loe poek kamro kami ah oh hoi moe, tanghaih tawn kami baktiah angsahcop kami ah ni a oh hoi.
Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so also do these withstand the truth: men whose mind is corrupted, and they reprobates from the faith.
9 To baktih kaminawk loe kangthla ah caeh o thai mak ai: Janne hoi Jambre amthuhaih to kaminawk boih khaeah amtueng baktih toengah, to kaminawk amthuhaih doeh amtueng toeng tih.
But they will not make progress, for their infatuation will be understood by every one, as theirs also was understood.
10 Toe ka patukhaih, ka ohhaih dan, ka timhaih, tanghaih, pauephaih, amlunghaih, palungsawkhaih to kahoihah na pazui, tito ka panoek;
But thou hast followed after my doctrine, and my manner of life, and my aims, and my faith, and my long suffering, and my love, and my patience,
11 Antiok, Ikonium hoi Listra vangpui ah patangkhanghaih hoi pacaekthlaekhaih ka nuiah phak, to baktih pacaekthlaekhaih to ka tongh, toe Angraeng mah to baktih hmuen thung hoiah ang loisak.
and my persecution, and my sufferings. And thou knowest what I endured at Antioch, and at Iconium, and at Lystra; what persecution I endured: and from all these my Lord delivered me.
12 Ue, Kri Jesu ah Sithaw koehhaih baktiah khosak han koeh kaminawk boih loe pacaekthlaekhaih to tong o tih.
And likewise all, who choose to live in the fear of God, in Jesus the Messiah, will be persecuted.
13 Toe kahoih ai kaminawk hoi aling thaih kaminawk loe, minawk aling o baktih toengah, angmacae hoi angmacae doeh angling o, to tiah nihcae loe sethaih bangah qoeng o aep aep.
But evil and seducing men will add to their wickedness, while they deceive and are deceived.
14 Toe nang loe nam tuk ih lok baktiah om poe ah, to loknawk loe amsoem; nang patuk kami doeh oepthoh, tito na panoek boeh;
But continue thou in the things thou hast learned and been assured of; for thou knowest from whom thou learnedst;
15 nawkta nathuem hoiah Kaciim Cabu lok to na panoek boeh, to Kaciim Cabu mah, Kri Jesu tanghaih rang hoiah pahlonghaih hnuk thai hanah, palunghahaih to ang paek.
because from thy childhood, thou wast taught the holy books, which can make thee wise unto life, by faith in Jesus the Messiah.
16 Kaciim Cabu boih loe Sithaw amtuenghaih hoiah paek ih hmuen ah oh moe, patukhaih, thuitaekhaih, pakhraihaih hoi toenghaih hnuksak hanah atho oh:
All scripture that was written by the Spirit, is profitable for instruction, and for confutation, and for correction, and for erudition in righteousness;
17 to loknawk hoiah ni Sithaw kami mah akoephaih to hnu ueloe, kahoih toknawk boih sak hanah paroep thai tih.
that the man of God may become perfect, and complete for every good work.
