1 David mah, Jonathan rang hoiah tahmenhaih kam tuengsak hanah, Saul imthung takoh thung hoi kanghmat kami oh vop maw? tiah a dueng.
And David said, Is there yet any one that is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for the sake of Jonathan?
2 To naah Saul imthung ah tamna tok sah, Ziba, tiah kawk ih kami maeto oh. Anih to David khaeah kawk o, siangpahrang mah anih khaeah, Nang loe Ziba maw? tiah a naa. To naah anih mah, Na tamna kai bae, tiah a naa.
And the house of Saul had a servant whose name was Ziba; and they called him unto David; and the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And be said, Thy servant [is it].
3 Siangpahrang mah anih khaeah, Sithaw tahmenhaih kam tuengsak hanah, Saul imthung takoh ah kanghmat kami maeto doeh om ai boeh maw? tiah a naa. Ziba mah siangpahrang khaeah, Khokkhaem, Jonathan capa maeto oh vop, tiah a naa.
And the king said, Is there no one left any more of the house of Saul, that I may show him the kindness of God! And Ziba said unto the king, There is yet a son of Jonathan, lame on both feet.
4 Siangpahrang mah anih khaeah, To kami loe naa ah maw oh? tiah a dueng. Ziba mah siangpahrang khaeah, Khenah, anih loe Lo Debar avang ah kaom, Ammiel capa Makir im ah oh, tiah a naa.
And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of 'Ammiel, in Lo-debar.
5 To pongah siangpahrang David mah anih to Lo Dabar avang ah kaom, Ammiel capa Makir im ah kawksak.
And king David sent, and had him taken out of the house of Machir, the son of 'Ammiel, from Lo-debar.
6 Saul capa Jonathan, Jonathan capa Mephiboseth David khaeah phak naah, anih hmaa ah akuep moe, khingyahaih to paek. David mah, Mephisobeth, tiah kawk. Anih mah, Na tamna hae ah ka oh, tiah a naa.
And Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, came unto David, and he fell on his face, and bowed himself. And David said, Mephibosheth; And he answered, Here is thy servant!
7 David mah anih khaeah, Zii hmah, nampa Jonathan rang hoiah na nuiah tahmenhaih kam tuengsak han; namsae Saul mah tawnh ih lawknawk boih kang paek let han, nang loe ka caboi nuiah buh na caa poe tih, tiah a naa.
And David said unto him, Fear not; for I will surely show thee kindness for the sake of Jonathan thy father, and I will restore unto thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.
8 Mephiboseth mah akuep moe, Kadueh ui baktish kaom, kai hae tih han ih na poek khing loe, tiah a naa.
And he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldst turn thy regard unto such a dead dog as I am?
9 To naah siangpahrang mah Saul ih tamna, Ziba to kawk moe, anih khaeah, Saul hoi angmah ih imthung takohnawk mah tawnh ih hmuennawk boih, na angraeng ih capa hanah ka paek boeh.
Then called the king for Ziba, Saul's servant, and said unto him, all that hath pertained to Saul and to all his house have I given unto thy master's son.
10 To pongah nangmah hoi na caanawk, na tamnanawk boih mah, anih hanah lawk tok to sah pae oh loe, na angraeng capa caak hanah thingthai qumponawk to paek oh; toe na angraeng capa, Mephisobeth loe kai ih caboi nuiah buh caa poe tih, tiah a naa. Ziba loe caa nongpa hatlai pangato hoi tamna pumphaeto tawnh.
And thou shalt till for him the land, thou, and thy sons, and thy servants, and thou shalt bring in [the product], that thy master's son may have bread which he can eat; but Mephibosheth thy master's son shall eat continually bread at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.
11 To naah Ziba mah siangpahrang khaeah, Na tamna khaeah ka angraeng siangpahrang mah sak hanah nang paek ih loknawk boih to na tamna kai mah ka sak han, tiah a naa. To pongah Mephibosheth loe siangpahrang ih capanawk baktih toengah, ka caboi nuiah buhcaak toeng.
And Ziba said unto the king, In accordance with all that my Lord the king may command his servant, so will thy servant do. And Mephibosheth [said the king] shall eat at my table, as one of the king's sons.
12 Mephisobeth mah capa nawkta maeto sak, anih ih ahmin loe Mika. Ziba imthung takoh ah kaom kaminawk boih loe Maphiboseth ih tamna ah oh o.
And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Micha. And all that dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants unto Mephibosheth.
13 Mephiboseth loe siangpahrang ih caboi nuiah buhcaak poe pongah, Jerusalem vangpui ah oh; anih loe khokkhaem hmaek.
And Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem; for he ate continually at the king's table; and he was lame on both his feet.
