< 2 Siangpahrang 9 >

1 Tahmaa Elisha mah tahmaanawk thung ih kami maeto kawk moe, anih khaeah, Kazii angzaeng ah, hae ih situi tabu hae sin ah loe, Ramoth Gilead ah caeh ah, tiah a naa.
Now, Elisha the prophet, called one of the sons of the prophets, —and said to him—Gird up thy loins, and take this flask of oil in thy hand, and go to Ramoth-gilead;
2 Na phak naah, Nimshi capa Jehosaphat, Jehosaphat capa Jehu to pakrong ah; anih khae caeh ah, angmah ih nawkamyanawk salak hoiah anih to pathawk loe, imkhaan thungah caeh haih ah.
and, when thou art come in thither, then look thee out, there, Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, son of Nimshi; and thou shalt enter and get him to rise up out of the midst of his brethren, and take him into an inner chamber;
3 To pacoengah situi tabu to lah loe, a lu ah bawh pacoengah, Angraeng mah, Israel siangpahrang ah oh hanah situi kang bawh, tiah thui ah, to pacoengah thok to paongh loe anghak ai ah cawn ah, tiah a naa.
then shalt thou take the flask of oil, and pour out upon his head, and say—Thus, saith Yahweh, I have anointed thee to be king unto Israel! Then shalt thou open the door and flee, and not tarry.
4 To pongah tahmaa ih kami thendoeng loe Ramoth-Gilead ah caeh.
So the young man went his way—the young man the prophet—unto Ramoth-gilead.
5 To ahmuen to a phak naah, nawnto anghnu misatuh angraengnawk to a hnuk; Aw misatuh angraeng, misatuh angraeng, nang khaeah thuih han koi hmuen ka tawnh, tiah a naa. To naah Jehu mah, kaicae thungah mi khaeah maw lokthuih han na tawnh? tiah a naa. To naah anih mah, Aw misatuh angraeng, nang khaeah lokthuih han ka tawnh, tiah a naa.
And, when he came up, lo! the captains of the force, sitting, and he said—A word, have I, for thee, O captain! And Jehu said—For which, of us all? And he said, —For thee, O captain!
6 Anih loe angthawk moe, imthung ah caeh; tahmaa mah Jehu ih lu ah situi to bawh moe, anih khaeah, Israel Angraeng Sithaw mah, Angraeng ih Israel kaminawk nuiah siangpahrang ah oh hanah situi kang bawh boeh, tiah thuih.
Then rose he up and went inside, and poured out the oil upon his head, and said unto him—Thus, saith Yahweh, God of Israel, I have anointed thee to be king unto the people of Yahweh, unto Israel;
7 Ka tamna tahmaanawk humhaih, Sithaw ih tahmaanawk athii palonghaih atho Jezebel khaeah lu ka lak thai hanah, na angraeng Ahab ih imthung takoh to na hum tih.
and thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy lord, —so will I avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of Yahweh, at the hand of Jezebel;
8 Ahab ih imthung takoh amrosak boih hanah, Israel prae thungah misong ah kaom kami maw, kaloih kami maw, Ahab ih acaeng nongpanawk to ka tamit boih han boeh;
so shall perish all the house of Ahab, —and I will cut off to Ahab the meanest, both him that is shut up and him that is left at large, in Israel.
9 Nebat capa Jeroboam imthung takoh baktih toengah, Ahab imthung takoh to ka sak han;
Yea I will deliver up the house of Ahab, like the house of Jeroboam son of Nebat, —and like the house of Baasha son of Ahijah:
10 Jezebel aphum kami om mak ai, anih loe Jezreel ahmuen ah uinawk mah caa o tih, tiah thuih ih lok to thuih pacoengah, thok paongh moe, a cawnh.
And, as for Jezebel, the dogs shall eat [her], in the town-land of Jezreel, there being none to bury her. And he opened the door, and fled.
11 To pacoengah Jehu loe angmah angraeng ih tamnanawk khaeah caeh, kami maeto mah anih khaeah, Tamthang hoih hmang maw? To kami kamthu loe nang khaeah timaw sak? tiah lokdueng. Jehu mah nihcae khaeah, To kami loe na panoek o moe, a thuih ih lok doeh na panoek o boeh to loe, tiah a naa.
Then, Jehu, came forth unto the servants of his lord, and one said to him—Is all well? why came this madman unto thee? And he said unto them, Ye, know, the man and his message.
12 Nihcae mah, Ka panoek o ai, na thui ah, tiah a naa o. Jehu mah, Anih mah, Angraeng mah, Nang hae Israel siangpahrang ah situi kang bawh, tiah thuih, tiah ang naa, tiah a thuih pae.
And they said—False! pray tell, us. And he said, —Thus and thus, spake he unto me, saying, Thus, saith Yahweh, I have anointed thee to be king unto Israel.
13 To pacoengah nihcae loe karangah angthawk o moe, angmacae ih khukbuen to lak o; Jehu tlim ih thlak nuiah baih pae o moe, Jehu loe siangpahrang ni! tiah mongkah ueng hoiah a hang o.
Then hasted they, and took, every man his garment, and put it under him, upon the very steps, —and blew with a horn, and said, Jehu, is king!
14 To pongah Nimshi capa Jehosaphat, Jehosaphat ih capa Jehu mah Joram nuiah kasae sak hanah pacaeng. Syria siangpahrang Hazael pongah, Joram hoi Israel kaminawk loe, Gilead prae ih Ramoth vangpui to toep o.
Thus did Jehu son of Jehoshaphat son of Nimshi conspire against Joram, —when, Joram, was watching Ramoth-gilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria.
15 Toe Syria siangpahrang Hazael hoi misa angtuk naah, Syria kaminawk mah Joram to ahmaa caak o sak pongah, anih loe ahmaa khetzawn hanah Jezreel ah amlaem let. Jehu mah, Siangpahrang ah ka oh hanah hae tiah poekhaih na tawnh o nahaeloe, tamthang thui kami maeto doeh vangpui thung hoi tacawt o sak hmah, Jezreel vangpui ah caeh o ueloe, tamthang to thui o moeng tih, tiah a naa.
But Jehoram the king had returned to get himself healed in Jezreel, of the wounds wherewith the Syrians had wounded him, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria. Then said Jehu—If such is your mind, let no fugitive get forth out of the city, to go and tell it in Jezreel.
16 To pacoengah Jehu loe angmah ih hrang lakok pongah angthueng moe, Jezreel ah caeh; Joram loe to vangpui ah oh pongah, Judah siangpahrang Ahaziah loe anih pahip hanah, to vangpui ah caeh tathuk.
So Jehu rode in a chariot, and went towards Jezreel, for, Joram, was lying there, —and, Ahaziah king of Judah, had come down to see Joram.
17 Kangzo Jehu hoi anih ih misatuh kaminawk to, Jezreel vangpui ih misatoep kami hnuk o naah, paroeai pop misatuh kaminawk angzoh o, tiah hangh. To naah Joram mah, Nihcae to tongh moe, monghaih hoiah maw nang zoh o? tiah lokdueng hanah hrang angthueng kami maeto patoeh ah, tiah a naa.
Now, the watchman, was standing upon the tower, in Jezreel, so he saw the great company of Jehu, when he came, and said—A great company, can I see! Then said Jehoram—Take a horseman and send to meet them, that he may say—Is it peace?
18 To pongah hrang angthueng kami maeto loe anih tongh hanah caeh, siangpahrang mah, Monghaih oh hmang maw? tiah lok ang duengsak, tiah a thuih a naa. Jehu mah, Monghaih oh hmang maw, tiah thuih hanah nang hoi timaw asaenghaih oh? Angqoi ah loe ka hnukah na bangah, tiah a naa. Misatoep kami mah, Tamthang thui laicaeh loe nihcae khaeah caeh, toe anih loe amlaem let ai boeh, tiah a naa.
So the horseman went to meet him, and said—Thus, saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu said—What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me. And the watchman told, saying, The messenger came up to them, but hath not turned back.
19 To pacoengah siangpahrang mah vai hnetto haih hrang angthueng kami to patoeh let; nihcae khaeah a phak naah, siangpahrang mah, Misa monghaih oh hmang maw? tiah a thuih, tiah a naa. Jehu mah, Monghaih oh hmang maw, tiah thuih hanah nang hoi asaenghaih timaw oh? Angqoi ah loe ka hnukah na bangah, tiah a naa.
Then sent he a second horseman, and he came up to them and said, Thus, saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu said—What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me.
20 Misatoep kami mah, Tamthang thui kami loe nihcae khaeah caeh, toe anih loe amlaem let ai boeh; hrang lakok mongh kami loe Nimshi capa Jehu hoiah anghmongh, anih loe kamthu baktiah a mongh, tiah a naa.
And the watchman told, saying, He came up to them, but hath not turned back, —and, the driving, is like the driving of Jehu son of Nimshi; for, with mad haste, doth he drive.
21 Joram mah kaimah ih hrang lakok to suem o coek ah, tiah lokpaek; to pongah anih ih hrang lakok to suek pae o coek. Israel siangpahrang Joram hoi Judah siangpahrang Ahaziah loe angma hnik ih hrang lakok to angthueng hoi moe, tasa bangah a caeh hoi; nihnik loe Jehu hnuk hanah a caeh hoi moe, anih to Jezreel acaeng Naboth ih lawk ahmuen ah a hnuk hoi.
Then said Jehoram, Harness! So one harnessed his chariot, —and Jehoram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went forth, each man in his chariot, yea they went forth to meet Jehu, and came upon him in the heritage of Naboth the Jezreelite.
22 Joram mah Jehu to hnuk naah, Jehu, Monghaih oh hmang maw? tiah a naa. Jehu mah, Nam no Jezebel mah sak ih tangzat zawhhaih hoi paroeai pop miklet patohhaih thung hoiah kawbangmaw monghaih om thai tih? tiah a naa.
And it came to pass, when Jehoram saw Jehu, that he said—Is it peace, Jehu? And he said—What can be the peace, while thy mother Jezebel’s harlotries and her incantations do so abound?
23 Joram mah Ahaziah khaeah, Aw Ahaziah qumqaihaih oh, tiah thuih pacoengah, a ban angqoi moe, a cawnh ving.
Then Jehoram turned his hands, and fled, —and said unto Ahaziah—Treachery! O Ahaziah!
24 Jehu mah tha hoiah palaa to azuh moe, Joram to palaeng salakah kah, palaa mah palung to kah puet pongah, hrang lakok nui hoiah sangku tathuk hmawk.
And, Jehu, bent his bow, and smote Jehoram, between his arms, —and the arrow came out at his heart, —and he sank down in his chariot.
25 Jehu mah angmah ih misatuh angraeng Bidkar khaeah, Anih to ruet ah loe Jezreel kami Naboth ih lawk ah va sut ah, tiah a naa. Joram ampa Ahab hnukah hrang angthueng moe, a bang hoi naah, anih hanah Angraeng mah thuih ih lok to panoek ah;
Then said he unto Bidkar his officer, Take [him] up, [and] cast him forth, into the field-portion of Naboth the Jezreelite, —for remember, when I and thou were riding as a couple together after Ahab his father, that, Yahweh, laid upon him this doom:
26 Angraeng mah, Cangduem ah Naboth hoi a caanawk ih athii to ka hnuk, tiah thuih; Angraeng mah hae ih lawk hmuen ah lu la let tih, tiah thuih. To pongah Angraeng mah thuih ih lok baktih toengah, vaihi anih ih qok to lah loe, hae ih lawk ahmuen ah va sut ah, tiah a naa.
Surely, the blood of Naboth and the blood of his sons, have I lately seen, declareth Yahweh, therefore will I requite thee in this portion, declareth Yahweh. Now, therefore, take [him] up, [and] cast him forth into the portion, according to the word of Yahweh.
27 Toe Judah siangpahrang Ahaziah mah to tiah kaom hmuen to hnuk naah, takha loklam bang hoiah cawnh ving; Jehu mah anih to patom, anih doeh hrang lakok nuiah hum oh, tiah a naa. Ibleam taeng ih, Gur vangpui bang caehhaih loklam ah anih to ahmaa caak o sak; toe anih loe Meggiddo bangah cawnh moe, to ah duek.
And, Ahaziah king of Judah, saw it, and fled by the way of the garden house, —and Jehu pursued him, and said—Him also! smite him in the chariot! It was in the ascent of Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Mepidgo, and died there.
28 A tamnanawk mah anih to hrang lakok hoiah Jerusalem ah caeh o haih moe, David vangpui angmah ih taprong ah aphum o.
And his servants conveyed him in a chariot and brought him into Jerusalem, —and buried him in his sepulchre, with his fathers, in the city of David.
29 Ahab capa Joram siangpahrang ah ohhaih saning hatlaito haih naah, Ahaziah loe Judah siangpahrang ah oh.
Now it was, in the eleventh year of Joram son of Ahab, that Ahaziah began to reign over Judah.
30 Jehu loe Jezereel ah caeh ti, tiah Jezebel mah thaih; anih loe amthoephaih tasi hoiah a mik to pathoep het, sam to kahoih ah a sok suidik pacoengah, thokbuem hoiah tasa bangah a danh.
Now, when Jehu entered Jezreel and, Jezebel, heard of it, she set her eyes in stibium, and ornamented her head, and looked forth through the lattice.
31 Jehu khongkha thungah akun naah, Jezebel mah, Angmah ih angraeng humkung, Zimri loe, ngantui hmang maw? tiah a naa.
So, when, Jehu, had entered in at the gate, she said, Was it peace, when Zimri slew his lord?
32 Jehu loe thokbuem bangah khet tahang moe, Kai bangah kaom kami to ah oh maw? Mi maw kaom? tiah a hangh. To naah tangyat mii kadueh kami hnetto maw, to tih ai boeh loe thumto mah maw anih to khet o.
And he lifted up his face unto the lattice, and said—Who, is with me? Who? And there looked out unto him, two or three eunuchs.
33 Jehu mah, To nongpata to na va o tathuk ah, tiah a naa. To pongah nihcae mah to nongpata to vah o tathuk. Anih ih athii loe sipae hoi hrang nuiah tacawn; Jehu mah to nongpata to long ah khok hoiah atit.
And he said—Hurl her down. And they hurled her down, —and there was sprinkled of her blood—upon the wall, and upon the horses, and they trode upon her.
34 Jehu loe athung ah akun, anih mah naekcaak pacoengah, vaihi caeh oh loe, tangoeng ih nongpata to khen oh; anih loe siangpahrang canu ah oh pongah, aphum oh, tiah a naa.
And, when he had entered and eaten and drunk, he said—Look, I pray you, after this accursed woman, and bury her, for the daughter of a king, she is.
35 Nihcae mah nongpata ih qok aphum hanah caeh o naah, anih ih luhuh, a khok hoi a banpadae khue ni a hnuk o.
So they went to bury her, —but found not of her—save the skull, and the feet, and the palms of the hands.
36 To pongah nihcae loe amlaem o let moe, Jehu khaeah thuih pae o. To naah Jehu mah, Jezereel kami ih lawk hmuen ah uinawk mah Jezebel ih qok to caa tih, tiah Angraeng mah a tamna Tishbeh acaeng Elijah khaeah thuih ih lok to akoep boeh:
Then came they back, and told him, and he said—The word of Yahweh, it is, which he spake by the hand of his servant, Elijah the Tishbite, saying—In the town-land of Jezreel, shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel!
37 to pongah, Hae loe Jezebel ih taprong ni, tiah mi mah doeh thui o mak ai; anih ih qok loe Jezreel kami ih lawkhmuen azawn ah aek baktih ni om sut tih, tiah a naa.
So shall the carcass of Jezebel become like heaps of dung on the face of the field, in the town-land of Jezreel: So that they cannot say, This, is Jezebel!
