< 2 Siangpahrang 21 >
1 Manasseh siangpahrang ah oh naah saning hathaihnetto ni oh vop; anih mah Jerusalem to saning quipangato pacoeng, pangato uk. Anih amno ih ahmin loe Hephzibah.
Manasseh [was] twelve years old when he began to reign, and reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name [was] Hephzi-bah.
2 Anih loe Angraeng mikhnukah kahoih ai hmuen to sak; anih loe Angraeng mah Israel caanawk hmaa hoi haek pae ih Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk mah sak ih panuet thok hmuen to sak.
And he did [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.
3 Ampa Hezekiah mah phraek ih hmuensangnawk to anih mah sak let; Israel siangpahrang Ahab mah sak ih baktih toengah, anih mah Baal hmaicamnawk to sak let moe, Asherah thingnawk to tling let; cakaehnawk boih to a bok moe, nihcae hmaa ah akuep.
For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Ahab king of Israel; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.
4 Angraeng mah, Ka hmin loe Jerusalem ah ka suek han, tiah thuih ih Angraeng im ah hmaicamnawk to a sak.
And he built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD said, In Jerusalem will I put my name.
5 Angraeng ih imthung longhmaa hnetto haih ah, cakaehnawk hanah hmaicam to a sak pae.
And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD.
6 Anih loe a capa to hmai angbawnhaih ah patoh; atue khethaih, miklet sakhaih, ma-uih hoi pakhra kawkhaihnawk to patoh pongah, Angraeng palungphuisak hanah, anih mikhnukah kahoih ai hmuen to a sak.
And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke [him] to anger.
7 Angraeng mah, David hoi ampa Solomon khaeah, Israel acaengnawk boih thungah ka qoih ih, hae im hoi Jerusalem ah, Ka Hmin dungzan ah ka suek han, tiah thuih ih Angraeng ih imthung ah, angmah thuk ih Asherah thing hoi krangnawk to a suek;
And he set a graven image of the grove that he had made in the house, of which the LORD said to David, and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:
8 ka thuih ih loknawk hoi ka tamna Mosi mah paek ih daannawk to mah acoehaih hoiah pazui o nahaeloe, ampanawk khaeah ka paek ih prae thung hoiah Israel kaminawk ih khok to kalah bangah kang thuisak mak ai, tiah a naa.
Neither will I make the feet of Israel move any more out of the land which I gave their fathers; only if they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that my servant Moses commanded them.
9 Toe nihcae mah lok tahngai pae o ai; Angraeng mah Israel kaminawk hmaa ah paro ih kaminawk mah sak ih hmuen pong kamtlai ah sethaih saksak hanah, Manasseh mah to kaminawk to zoek.
But they hearkened not: and Manasseh seduced them to do more evil than did the nations whom the LORD destroyed before the children of Israel.
10 Angraeng mah a tamna tahmaanawk patohhaih rang hoiah lokthuih,
And the LORD spake by his servants the prophets, saying,
11 Judah siangpahrang Manasseh loe Amor kaminawk mah anih hmaa ah, sak o ih hmuen pong panuet thok kue hmuen to sak boeh; angmah sak ih krangnawk hoiah Judah kaminawk to zaehaih saksak boeh pongah,
Because Manasseh king of Judah hath done these abominations, [and] hath done wickedly above all that the Amorites did, which [were] before him, and hath made Judah also to sin with his idols:
12 Israel Angraeng Sithaw mah, Khenah, Tamthang thaih kaminawk boih, naa amthaksak hanah, Jerusalem hoi Judah nuiah amrohaih ka phaksak han.
Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Behold, I [am] bringing [such] evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whosoever heareth of it, both his ears shall tingle.
13 Jerusalem vangpui nuiah Samaria tahhaih qui hoi Ahab imthung takoh tahhaih qui to ka payang han; kami mah sabae pasaeh pacoengah hmaawt baktih toengah, Jerusalem to ka hmaawt bit moe, ka palet dak han.
And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab: and I will wipe Jerusalem as [a man] wipeth a dish, wiping [it], and turning [it] upside down.
14 Kanghmat kaimah ih qawknawk to ka pahnawt moe, nihcae ih misanawk khaeah ka paek han; misanawk mah nihcae to muk o ueloe, hmuenmae to lomh pae o tih;
And I will forsake the remnant of mine inheritance, and deliver them into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies;
15 Izip prae thung hoiah nihcae ampanawk ka zaehhoih nathuem hoi kamtong vahni ni khoek to, kai palung ang phui o sak moe, ka mikhnukah nihcae mah kahoih ai hmuen to sak o, tiah a naa.
Because they have done [that which was] evil in my sight, and have provoked me to anger, since the day their fathers came forth out of Egypt, even unto this day.
16 Toe Manasseh mah loe zaehaih tawn ai kaminawk to paroeai athii longsak; Jerusalem to athii hoiah koisak; anih loe Judah kaminawk zaehaih saksak khue ai ah, Angraeng mikhnukah kahoih ai hmuen to a sak.
Moreover Manasseh shed innocent blood very much, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another; beside his sin wherewith he made Judah to sin, in doing [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD.
17 Manasseh siangpahrang ah oh nathung kaom hmuennawk, a sak ih hmuennawk hoi a sak ih zaehaihnawk boih loe, Judah siangpahrangnawk ahmin pakuemhaih cabu thungah tarik o na ai maw?
Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and all that he did, and his sin that he sinned, [are] they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
18 Manasseh loe ampanawk khaeah anghak moe, siangpahrang angmah ih takha, Uzza takha thungah aphum o; anih zuengah a capa Amon to siangpahrang ah oh.
And Manasseh slept with his fathers, and was buried in the garden of his own house, in the garden of Uzza: and Amon his son reigned in his stead.
19 Amon loe siangpahrang ah oh naah, saning pumphae, hnetto oh boeh; anih mah saning hnetto thung Jerusalem to uk. Anih amno ih ahmin loe Jotbah ah kaom, Haruz canu Meshulemet.
Amon [was] twenty and two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name [was] Meshullemeth, the daughter of Haruz of Jotbah.
20 Anih loe ampa Manasseh baktiah Angraeng mikhnukah kahoih ai hmuen to sak.
And he did [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD, as his father Manasseh did.
21 Anih loe ampa ih loklam to pazui moe, ampa mah bok ih krangnawk to a bok, krangnawk hmaa ah akuep.
And he walked in all the way that his father walked in, and served the idols that his father served, and worshipped them:
22 Anih loe ampanawk ih Angraeng Sithaw to pahnawt moe, Angraeng ih loklam ah caeh ai.
And he forsook the LORD God of his fathers, and walked not in the way of the LORD.
23 Amon ih tamnanawk mah anih to hum hanah pacaeng o moe, siangpahrang angmah im ah hum o.
And the servants of Amon conspired against him, and slew the king in his own house.
24 Prae thung ih kaminawk mah Amon siangpahrang hum kaminawk to hum o boih pacoengah, a capa Josiah to siangpahrang ah suek o.
And the people of the land slew all them that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his stead.
25 Amon siangpahrang ah oh nathung kaom hmuen hoi a sak ih hmuennawk boih loe, Judah siangpahrangnawk ahmin pakuemhaih cabu thungah tatik o na ai maw?
Now the rest of the acts of Amon which he did, [are] they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
26 Anih loe angmah ih takha Uzza ah aphum o; anih zuengah a capa Josiah to sianpahrang ah oh.
And he was buried in his sepulchre in the garden of Uzza: and Josiah his son reigned in his stead.
