< 2 Dungkrhoekhaih 35 >
1 Josiah mah Jerusalem ah Angraeng khaeah misong loihaih poih to sak; loihhaih poih ah tuucaa to khrah tangsuek haih, ni hatlai palito naah a boh.
Moreover Josiah kept a passover unto the LORD in Jerusalem: and they killed the passover on the fourteenth [day] of the first month.
2 Qaimanawk to angmacae toksakhaih ahmuen ah ohsak moe, Angraeng im ah toksak hanah nihcae to thapaek.
And he set the priests in their charges, and encouraged them to the service of the house of the LORD,
3 Angraeng khaeah ciimcai moe, Israel caanawk boih patukkung, Levi acaengnawk khaeah, kaciim thingkhong to Israel siangpahrang David capa Solomon mah sak ih im thungah suem oh; kaciim thingkhong to palaeng hoi apu o hmah; angmah ih kami Israelnawk hoi na Angraeng Sithaw ih tok to sah oh.
And said unto the Levites that taught all Israel, which were holy unto the LORD, Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel did build; [it shall] not [be] a burden upon [your] shoulders: serve now the LORD your God, and his people Israel,
4 Israel siangpahrang David hoi a capa Solomon mah nangmacae acaeng acaeng ah toksak hanah ca ang tarik pae o ih baktih toengah toksak amsak oh.
And prepare [yourselves] by the houses of your fathers, after your courses, according to the writing of David king of Israel, and according to the writing of Solomon his son.
5 Prae thung ih kaminawk, nam panawk ih nawkamya hoi Levi acaeng maeto boih mah sak han koi tok to pazet oh loe, hmuenciim ah angdoe oh.
And stand in the holy [place] according to the divisions of the families of the fathers of your brethren the people, and [after] the division of the families of the Levites.
6 Loihhaih tuucaanawk to bop oh, nangmacae hoi nangmacae to ciimcai oh, Angraeng mah Mosi khaeah paek ih lok baktih toengah, nam nawkamyanawk mah poih sak o hanah thui pae oh, tiah a naa.
So kill the passover, and sanctify yourselves, and prepare your brethren, that [they] may do according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
7 Loihhaih poihkung ah angzo kaminawk boih to pacah hanah, Josiah siangpahrang mah angmah ih tuucaa hoi maeh sing thumto paek, maitaw tae sang thumto doeh paek bae vop.
And Josiah gave to the people, of the flock, lambs and kids, all for the passover offerings, for all that were present, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand bullocks: these [were] of the king’s substance.
8 Angmah ih angraengnawk, qaimanawk hoi Levi acaengnawk mah doeh palunghuemhaih hoiah paek o toeng; Hilkiah, Zekariah, Jehiel hoi Sithaw im ukkungnawk mah, loihhaih poih sak hanah qaimanawk khaeah, tuu hoi maeh sang hnet, cumvai tarukto, maitaw tae cumvai thumto paek o.
And his princes gave willingly unto the people, to the priests, and to the Levites: Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel, rulers of the house of God, gave unto the priests for the passover offerings two thousand and six hundred [small cattle], and three hundred oxen.
9 Levi acaengnawk thungah kalen koek, Konaniah, Shemaiah, Nethanel, Hashabiah, Jeiel, Jozabad hoi nawkamyanawk mah doeh, loihhaih poih sak hanah tuucaa hoi maeh sang pangato, maitaw tae cumvai pangato paek o toeng.
Conaniah also, and Shemaiah and Nethaneel, his brethren, and Hashabiah and Jeiel and Jozabad, chief of the Levites, gave unto the Levites for passover offerings five thousand [small cattle], and five hundred oxen.
10 Siangpahrang lokpaekhaih baktih toengah, qaimanawk loe toksak hanah angmacae angdoethaih ahmuen ah angdoet o, Levi acaengnawk doeh angmacae ih tok to sak o.
So the service was prepared, and the priests stood in their place, and the Levites in their courses, according to the king’s commandment.
11 Loihhaih poih sak hanah tuucaanawk to boh o; qaimanawk mah athii to haeh o moe, Levi acaengnawk mah ahin to khok o.
And they killed the passover, and the priests sprinkled [the blood] from their hands, and the Levites flayed [them].
12 Mosi ih cabu thungah tarik ih lok baktih toengah, imthung takoh maeto mah Angraeng khaeah hmai angbawnhaih paek hanah, moi hoi maitaw tae to kalah ah pahoe pae o.
And they removed the burnt offerings, that they might give according to the divisions of the families of the people, to offer unto the LORD, as [it is] written in the book of Moses. And so [did they] with the oxen.
13 Sakzong ih daan baktih toengah loihhaih poihkung ah boh ih tuu moinawk to hmai pakhaem o; kalah ciimcai moinawk loe long laom, laom pui hoi camphaek laom hoiah thongh o moe, kaminawk hanah karangah pazet o.
And they roasted the passover with fire according to the ordinance: but the [other] holy [offerings] sod they in pots, and in caldrons, and in pans, and divided [them] speedily among all the people.
14 To tiah a sak o pacoengah angmacae hoi qaimanawk hanah thongh o; Aaron ih caa qaimanawk loe hmai angbawnhaih hoi moithawk angbawnhaih to khoving khoek to a sak o; Levi acaengnawk loe angmacae han hoi Aaron ih caa qaimanawk hanah to tiah toksak pae o.
And afterward they made ready for themselves, and for the priests: because the priests the sons of Aaron [were busied] in offering of burnt offerings and the fat until night; therefore the Levites prepared for themselves, and for the priests the sons of Aaron.
15 David hoi siangpahrang ih tahmaa, Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun mah sak ih baktih toengah, ampui Levi acaengnawk mah hmuen to sak pae o boeh pongah, Asaph ih acaeng laasah kaminawk loe angmacae ih ahmuen ah oh o; khongkha toep kaminawk loe angmacae ih tok to caeh o taak ai, khongkha to toep o boih; angmacae ih nawkamya Levi acaengnawk mah nihcae han kangaih tok to sak pae o.
And the singers the sons of Asaph [were] in their place, according to the commandment of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun the king’s seer; and the porters [waited] at every gate; they might not depart from their service; for their brethren the Levites prepared for them.
16 To pongah Josiah siangpahrang mah thuih ih lok baktih toengah, loihhaih poih to a sak o, Angraeng ih hmaicam nuiah hmai angbawnhaih sak hanah, to na niah Angraeng ih tok to sak o roep.
So all the service of the LORD was prepared the same day, to keep the passover, and to offer burnt offerings upon the altar of the LORD, according to the commandment of king Josiah.
17 To ah kaom Israel caanawk loe loihhaih poih to sak o moe, taeh thuh ai ih takaw caakhaih poih doeh ni sarihto thung a sak o.
And the children of Israel that were present kept the passover at that time, and the feast of unleavened bread seven days.
18 Tahmaa Samuel dung ah Israel prae thungah to baktih loihhaih poih to sah o vai ai; mi kawbaktih Israel siangpahrang mah doeh Josiah baktiah, loihhaih poih to qaimanawk, Levi acaengnawk, Judah kaminawk, Israel kaminawk, Jerusalem ah kaom kaminawk hoi nawnto sah vai ai.
And there was no passover like to that kept in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet; neither did all the kings of Israel keep such a passover as Josiah kept, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel that were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
19 Hae loihhaih poih loe Josiah siangpahrang ah ohhaih saning hatlai tazetto naah sak o.
In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah was this passover kept.
20 Josiah mah im to sak pacoengah, Izip siangpahrang Neko loe Euphrates vapui taeng ih Karkhemish vangpui to tuk hanah angzoh, Josiah siangpahrang loe Neko to pakaa hanah caeh.
After all this, when Josiah had prepared the temple, Necho king of Egypt came up to fight against Carchemish by Euphrates: and Josiah went out against him.
21 Izip siangpahrang mah, Aw Judah siangpahrang, nang hoi kai salakah tih angzoeh angaekhaih maw oh? Vaihniah nang tuk hanah kang zo ai, ka misa imthung takoh ni tuk hanah kang zoh; Angraeng mah karangah misatuk hanah ang thuih boeh: kai hoi nawnto kaom Angraeng to tavet hmah, anih mah dan na paek moeng tih, tiah laicaeh patoeh moe, a thuisak.
But he sent ambassadors to him, saying, What have I to do with thee, thou king of Judah? [I come] not against thee this day, but against the house wherewith I have war: for God commanded me to make haste: forbear thee from [meddling with] God, who [is] with me, that he destroy thee not.
22 Toe Josiah mah angqoi taak ai; Neko mah thuih ih Angraeng ih lok to tahngai ai; misatuk hanah minawk kalah baktiah angsak moe, Meggido azawn ah misatuk hanah a caeh.
Nevertheless Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself, that he might fight with him, and hearkened not unto the words of Necho from the mouth of God, and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.
23 Misa angtuk o naah kalii kah kop kaminawk mah Josiah siangpahrang to kah o; to naah anih mah a tamnanawk khaeah, Karangah na caeh o haih lai ah; kai loe kanung parai ahmaa ka caak boeh, tiah a naa.
And the archers shot at king Josiah; and the king said to his servants, Have me away; for I am sore wounded.
24 To pongah a tamnanawk mah hrangleeng thung hoiah lak o moe, hrangleeng kalah maeto nuiah phawh o; anih to Jerusalem ah caeh o haih moe, to ah duek; ampanawk ih taprong maeto ahmuen ah anih to aphum o. Judah hoi Israel kaminawk boih mah anih to qah o haih.
His servants therefore took him out of that chariot, and put him in the second chariot that he had; and they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died, and was buried in [one of] the sepulchres of his fathers. And all Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah.
25 Jeremiah mah Josiah to qah haih; vaihni ni khoek to laasah nongpata hoi nongpanawk mah Josiah qahhaih laa to sak o pongah, Israel prae thungah Israel caanawk ih atawk maeto ah oh; to kawng to qahhaih cabu thungah tarik o.
And Jeremiah lamented for Josiah: and all the singing men and the singing women spake of Josiah in their lamentations to this day, and made them an ordinance in Israel: and, behold, they [are] written in the lamentations.
26 Josiah siangpahrang ah oh nathung sak ih hmuennawk, a sak ih kahoih hmuennawk loe Angraeng ih lok cabu thungah tarik ih baktih toengah,
Now the rest of the acts of Josiah, and his goodness, according to [that which was] written in the law of the LORD,
27 a toksakhaih amtonghaih hoi boeng khoek to, Israel hoi Judah siangpahrangnawk ih cabu thungah tarik o.
And his deeds, first and last, behold, they [are] written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
