1 Hezekiah siangpahrang ah oh amtong tangsuek naah saning pumphae pangato oh boeh; anih mah Jerusalem to saning pumphae takawtto thung uk; amno loe Zekariah canu Abijah.
Hezekiah [was] a son of twenty-five years [when] he has reigned, and he has reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Abijah daughter of Zechariah;
2 Ampa David mah sak ih baktih toengah, anih doeh Angraeng mikhnukah katoeng hmuennawk boih to sak.
and he does that which is right in the eyes of YHWH, according to all that his father David did.
3 Siangpahrang ah ohhaih saningto haih, khrah tangsuek naah, anih mah Angraeng ih im khongkhanawk to paongh moe, pathoep.
He, in the first year of his reign, in the first month, has opened the doors of the house of YHWH, and strengthens them,
4 Qaima hoi Levi acaengnawk to a caeh haih moe, ni angyae bang ih loklam ah amkhuengsak.
and brings in the priests and the Levites, and gathers them to the broad place to the east.
5 Nihcae khaeah, Levi acaengnawk ka lok hae tahngai oh, ciimcai oh loe, nam panawk ih Angraeng Sithaw ih im to ciim o sak ah; hmuenciim thung ih panuet thok hmuennawk boih to takhoe oh.
And he says to them, “Hear me, O Levites, now sanctify yourselves, and sanctify the house of YHWH, God of your fathers, and bring out the impurity from the holy place,
6 Aicae ampanawk loe Sithaw hmaa ah zae o boeh; aicae Angraeng Sithaw mikhnukah kahoih ai hmuen to a sak o moe, Angraeng to pahnawt o ving boeh; Angraeng ohhaih ahmuen to anghae o taak moe, hnuk angqoi o taak ving boeh.
for our fathers have trespassed, and done that which is evil in the eyes of our God YHWH, and forsake him, and turn around their faces from the Dwelling Place of YHWH, and give the neck.
7 Imthung akunhaih thoknawk to khah o moe, hmaiim to kalah bangah suek o ving boeh; nihcae loe Israel Sithaw khaeah hmuihoih thlaek o ai moe, angbawnhaih doeh hmuenciim ah sah o ai boeh.
They have also shut the doors of the porch, and quench the lamps, and they have not made incense, and have not caused burnt-offering to ascend in the holy place to the God of Israel,
8 To pongah Angraeng palungphuihaih to Judah hoi Israel nuiah phak; na mik hoi na hnuk o ih baktih toengah, nihcae to raihaih paek moe, dawnraihaih hoi minawk mah pahnui thui ih kami ah oh hanah a suek.
and the wrath of YHWH is on Judah and Jerusalem, and He gives them for a trembling, for an astonishment, and for a hissing, as you are seeing with your eyes.
9 To tiah oh o pongah khenah, aicae ampanawk loe sumsen hoiah duek o moe, aicae ih canu, capa hoi zunawk to misong ah caeh o haih.
And behold, our fathers have fallen by the sword, and our sons, and our daughters, and our wives [are] in captivity for this.
10 Aicae nuiah palungphuihaih dipsak hanah, vaihi Israel Angraeng Sithaw hoi lokmaihaih sak hanah ka poek.
Now [it is] with my heart to make a covenant before YHWH, God of Israel, and the fierceness of His anger turns back from us.
11 Ka capanawk, Angraeng hmaa ah angdoet han ih, a tok sak pae han ih, hmuihoih thlaek han ih, Anih mah ang qoih o pongah, vaihi tidoeh sah ai ah om o hmah, tiah a naa.
My sons, do not be at rest now, for YHWH has fixed on you to stand before Him, to serve Him, and to be ministering and making incense to Him.”
12 To naah to ih Levi acaengnawk, Kohat acaeng thung hoiah Amasai capa Mahat, Azariah capa Joel; Merari acaeng thung hoiah Abdi capa Kish, Jehalelel capa Azariah; Gershon acaeng thung hoiah Zimmah capa Joah, Joah capa Eden;
And the Levites rise—Mahath son of Amasai, and Joel son of Azariah, of the sons of the Kohathite; and of the sons of Merari: Kish son of Abdi, and Azariah son of Jehalelel; and of the Gershonite: Joah son of Zimmah, and Eden son of Joah;
13 Elizaphan acaeng thung hoiah Shimri hoi Jeiel; Asaph acaeng thung hoiah Zekariah hoi Mattaniah;
and of the sons of Elizaphan: Shimri and Jeiel; and of the sons of Asaph: Zechariah and Mattaniah;
14 Heman acaeng thung hoiah Jeiel hoi Shimei; Jeduthun acaeng thung hoiah Shemaiah hoi Uzziel cae toksak hanah angthawk o.
and of the sons of Heman: Jehiel and Shimei; and of the sons of Jeduthun: Shemaiah and Uzziel—
15 Angmacae nawkamyanawk nawnto amkhueng o pacoengah, Angraeng ih im to ciimsak hanah, Angraeng ih lokpaekhaih hoi siangpahrang mah thuih ih loknawk baktih toengah, angmacae hoi angmacae to ciimcai o sak.
and they gather their brothers, and sanctify themselves, and come in, according to the command of the king in the matters of YHWH, to cleanse the house of YHWH,
16 Qaimanawk loe Angraeng ih hmuen ciimsak hanah, imthung bangah akun o; Angraeng im thungah hnuk o ih kaciim ai hmuennawk to Angraeng im longhmaa ah suek o boih. To hmuennawk to Levi acaengnawk mah lak o moe, Kidron tava ah suek o.
and the priests come into the inner part of the house of YHWH to cleanse [it], and bring out all the uncleanness that they have found in the temple of YHWH to the court of the house of YHWH, and the Levites receive [it], to take [it] out to the Brook of Kidron outside.
17 Khrah hmaloe amtong tangsuekhaih niah ciimcaihaih to amtong o moe, ni tazetto naah Angraeng im hmaa ah phak o; ni tazetto thung Angraeng im to ciimcai o sak; krah hmaloe koek ni hatlai tarukto naah pacoeng o.
And they begin to sanctify on the first of the first month, and on the eighth day of the month they have come to the porch of YHWH, and they sanctify the house of YHWH in eight days, and on the sixteenth day of the first month they have finished.
18 To pacoengah Hezekiah siangpahrang khaeah caeh o moe, anih khaeah, Angraeng im, angbawnhaih hmaicam hoi laom sabaenawk boih, takaw suekhaih caboinawk hoi laom sabaenawk to ciimcai o sak boih.
And they come in to Hezekiah the king within, and say, “We have cleansed all the house of YHWH, and the altar of the burnt-offering, and all its vessels, and the table of the arrangement, and all its vessels,
19 Ahaz siangpahrang ah oh naah, zaehaih sak pongah vah ving ih laom sabaenawk boih to pakhraih o moe, ka ciim o sak boeh; khenah, to baktih hmuennawk boih Angraeng ih hmaicam hmaa ah oh, tiah a naa.
and all the vessels that King Ahaz cast away in his reign—in his trespass—we have prepared and sanctified, and behold, they [are] before the altar of YHWH.”
20 Hezekiah siangpahrang loe khawnbang khawnthaw ah angthawk, vangpui ukkung angraengnawk boih to nawnto amkhuengsak pacoengah, Angraeng im ah caeh o tahang.
And Hezekiah the king rises early, and gathers the heads of the city, and goes up to the house of YHWH;
21 Maitaw tae sarihto, tuutae sarihto, tuucaa sarihto hoi maeh tae sarihto siangpahrang ih prae zaehaih, hmuenciim zaehaih hoi Judahnawk zae angbawnhaih ah paek hanah a sinh o. Aaron ih caanawk hoi qaimanawk mah Angraeng ih hmaicam ah angbawnhaih sak hanah siangpahrang mah lokpaek.
and they bring in seven bullocks, and seven rams, and seven lambs, and seven young male goats, for a sin-offering for the kingdom, and for the sanctuary, and for Judah; and he commands to sons of Aaron, the priests, to cause [them] to ascend on the altar of YHWH.
22 To pongah maitaw taenawk to boh o, qaimanawk mah athii to lak o moe, hmaicam ah haeh o; tuu taenawk boh o naah doeh, athii to hmaicam ah haeh o; tuucaanawk doeh boh o moe, athii to hmaicam ah haeh o.
And they slaughter the oxen, and the priests receive the blood, and sprinkle on the altar; and they slaughter the rams, and sprinkle the blood on the altar; and they slaughter the lambs, and sprinkle the blood on the altar;
23 Zae angbawnhaih ah maeh taenawk to siangpahrang hoi kaminawk hmaa ah hoih o moe, lu nuiah ban koeng o;
and they bring the male goats of the sin-offering near before the king and the assembly, and they lay their hands on them;
24 siangpahrang mah Israelnawk boih hanah, hmai angbawnhaih hoi zae angbawnhaih sak hanah siangpahrang mah paek ih lok baktih toengah, qaimanawk mah maeh taenawk to boh o moe, Israel kaminawk boih zae loih hanah, athii hoiah hmaicam nuiah angdaehhaih to sak o.
and the priests slaughter them, and make a sin-offering with their blood on the altar, to make atonement for all Israel, that “For all Israel,” said the king, “[is] the burnt-offering and the sin-offering.”
25 David hoi siangpahrang ih tahmaa Gad hoi tahmaa Nathan cae mah thuih ih lok baktih toengah, cingceng, tamoi hoi katoengnawk kruek kop Levi acaengnawk to im thungah ohsak; tahmaanawk khaeah Angraeng mah paek ih lok baktih toengah hae hmuen hae a sak.
And he appoints the Levites in the house of YHWH with cymbals, with psalteries, and with harps, by the command of David, and of Gad, seer of the king, and of Nathan the prophet, for the command [is] by the hand of YHWH, by the hand of His prophets;
26 Levi acaengnawk loe David ih atuenpawknawk hoiah angdoet o, qaimanawk doeh mongkahnawk hoiah angdoet o toeng.
and the Levites stand with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets.
27 Hezekiah mah hmaicam ah hmai angbawnhaih sak hanah lokpaek; hmai angbawnhaih sak amtong o naah, mongkah hoi Israel siangpahrang David mah sak ih atuenpawknawk hoiah Angraeng khaeah laasak amtong o.
And Hezekiah commands to cause the burnt-offering to ascend on the altar; and at the time the burnt-offering began, the song of YHWH began, and the trumpets, and with [the] hands of [the] instruments of David king of Israel.
28 Hmai angbawnhaih boeng ai karoek to, laasah kaminawk mah laa to sak o moe, mongkah ueng kaminawk mah doeh mongkah to ueng o; to tiah kaminawk boih mah Sithaw to bok o.
And all the assembly are worshiping, and the singers singing, and the trumpeters blowing; the whole [is] until the completion of the burnt-offering.
29 Hmuen tathlanghaih boeng pacoengah, siangpahrang hoi to ih kaminawk boih mah akuep hoiah Sithaw to bok o.
And at the completion of the offering up, the king and all those found with him have bowed, and pay respect.
30 Hezekiah siangpahrang hoi angraengnawk loe David hoi tahmaa Asaph ih loknawk baktih toengah Angraeng saphawhaih laasak hanah Levi acaengnawk to lokpaek. To pongah nihcae mah anghoehaih hoi saphawhaih laa to sak o moe, akuephaih hoiah Sithaw to bok o.
And Hezekiah the king commands—and the princes—to the Levites [to cause them] to give praise to YHWH in the words of David, and of Asaph the seer, and they praise—to joy, and they bow, and pay respect.
31 To naah Hezekiah mah, Vaihiah nangmacae hoi nangmacae Angraeng khaeah nang paek o boeh pongah, Angraeng im ah angzo oh loe, angbawnhaih hoiah paek ih hmuen, anghoehaih hoiah paek ih hmuennawk to sin oh, tiah a naa. To pongah rangpuinawk mah angbawnhaih hmuennawk, anghoehaih hoiah paek ih hmuennawk, palunghuemhaih hoiah paek ih hmuennawk to sin o.
And Hezekiah answers and says, “Now you have filled your hand for YHWH, come near, and bring in sacrifices and thank-offerings to the house of YHWH”; and the assembly brings in sacrifices and thank-offerings, and every willing-hearted one—burnt-offerings.
32 Rangpui mah angbawnhaih ah sin o ih hmuennawk loe maitaw tae quisarihto, tuu tae cumvaito hoi tuucaa cumvai hnetto phak; Angraeng khaeah angbawnhaih sak han ih ni hae hmuennawk boih hae a sinh o.
And the number of the burnt-offerings that the assembly has brought in is seventy oxen, one hundred rams, [and] two hundred lambs; for all these [are] a burnt-offering to YHWH.
33 Angbawnhaih ah paek ih hmuennawk loe maitaw tae cumvai tarukto, tuu sang thumto phak.
And the sanctified things [are] six hundred oxen and three thousand sheep.
34 Toe qaimanawk loe tamsi o pongah, angbawnhaih moi ahin to khok o boih thai ai; kalah qaimanawk loe ciimcai ah oh o, toksak boeng o ai karoek to, angmacae nawkamya Levi acaengnawk mah nihcae to abomh o. Levi acaengnawk loe qaimanawk pongah poekhaih palungthin ciim o kue.
Only, the priests have become few, and have not been able to strip the whole of the burnt-offerings, and their brothers the Levites strengthen them until the completion of the work, and until the priests sanctify themselves, for the Levites [are] more upright of heart to sanctify themselves than the priests.
35 Hmai angbawnhaih, angdaeh angbawnhaih moithawk, angbawnhaih hmuen hoi nawnto paek ih hmuen loe paroeai pop. Angraeng im thungah toksakhaih to kahoih ah raemh o.
And also, burnt-offerings [are] in abundance, with fat of the peace-offerings, and with oblations for the burnt-offering; and the service of the house of YHWH is established,
36 Sithaw mah to baktih hmuen to karangah sak pacoeng hanah abomh pongah, Hezekiah hoi angmah ih kaminawk boih anghoe o.
and Hezekiah and all the people rejoice because of God’s giving preparation to the people, for the thing has been suddenly.
