< 1 Timote 4 >

1 Hnukkhuem tue ah loe, thoemto kaminawk tanghaih hoiah amkhraeng o ving ueloe, aling thaih muithlanawk hoi taqawk patukhaih loknawk to tahngai o lat tih;
Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 kasae kahoih panoekhaih anghmatsak hanah nihcae ih palung to sum kabae hoiah daeng ueloe, kami aling thai hanah amsawnlok to thui o tih, tiah Muithla mah kamnoek ah thuih boeh;
Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3 imthong krakhaih to pakaa o ueloe, loktang panoek kami hoi tangcaanawk mah kawnhaih lawkthuihaih hoiah talawk o thai hanah Sithaw mah sak ih moi to caak han ai ah pakaa o tih.
Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God has created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4 Sithaw mah sak ih hmuennawk boih loe hoih, kawnhaih lawkthuihaih hoiah talawk nahaeloe koeh ai han koi tidoeh om ai.
For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
5 Sithaw lok hoi lawkthuihaih mah ciimcaisak boeh.
For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
If you put the brothers in remembrance of these things, you shall be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, to which you have attained.
7 Toe panuet thok mitong nongpatanawk mah thuih rumram ih ruicinawk to koeh hmah loe, nangmah hoi nangmah to Sithaw koehhaih sah kami baktiah om ah.
But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself rather to godliness.
8 Taksa toksakhaih loe atho om parai ai: toe Sithaw koehhaih ah toksakhaih loe vaihiah kaom hinghaih hoi kaom han koi kahing lokkamhaih ah oh pongah, hmuennawk boihah atho oh.
For bodily exercise profits little: but godliness is profitable to all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
9 Hae lok loe oepthoh moe, tapom boih han krak.
This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.
10 To pongah kaminawk boih Pahlongkung, lokpui koekah tanghaih tawn kaminawk pahlongkung, kahing Sithaw to a tang o pongah, karai tok to a sak o moe, minawk mah kasae thuihaih to a tongh o.
For therefore we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, specially of those that believe.
11 Hae loknawk hae thui paeh loe patuk ah.
These things command and teach.
12 Saning na nawkhaih to mi mah doeh patoek hmah nasoe; toe lokthuihaih, khosakhaih tuinuen, minawk palunghaih, Muithla hoi kasaeng tanghaih hoi ciimcaihaih bangah tangcaanawk khet koi kaom ah khosah ah.
Let no man despise your youth; but be you an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
13 Kang zo ai karoek to tamthanglok kroekhaih, thapaekhaih, patukhaihnawk to thahmaehaih hoiah sah ah.
Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
14 Lok taphonghaih baktiah kaom, kacoehtanawk mah ban koenghaih hoiah ang paek o ih tangqum to pahnawt padah hmah.
Neglect not the gift that is in you, which was given you by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
15 Na qoeng tahanghaih to kami boih mah hnuk o thai hanah, hae hmuennawk hae palung thungah pakuem ah loe, to hmuennawk sak thai hanah nangmah hoi nangmah to angpaek ah.
Meditate on these things; give yourself wholly to them; that your profiting may appear to all.
16 Na patukhaih pongah nangmah hoi nangmah to acoe ah; to tiah toksak patomh poe ah: to tiah na sak nahaeloe nangmah hoi nangmah khue na ai, na lok thaih kaminawk doeh na pahlong thai tih.
Take heed to yourself, and to the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this you shall both save yourself, and them that hear you.
