1 Pawl, Silvanus hoi Timote mah aicae Ampa Sithaw hoi Angraeng Jesu Kri ah kaom Thessalonika vangpui ih kricaabunawk khaeah hae tiah thuih pae: aicae Ampa Sithaw, Angraeng Jesu Kri khae hoi ih tahmenhaih hoi monghaih to nangcae khaeah om nasoe.
Paul and Silvanus and Timothy—unto the assembly of Thessalonians in God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ, —favour unto you, and peace!
2 Lawk ka thuih o naah, nangcae boih han kawnhaih lawk ka thuih o toepsoep;
We are giving thanks unto God continually, concerning you all, making, mention, in our prayers,
3 aicae Ampa Sithaw hmaa ah tanghaih hoiah toksakhaih, amlunghaih hoiah tha pathokhaih, aicae Angraeng Jesu Kri oephaih hoiah pauephaih to boeng ai ah lawk ka thuih o;
Unceasingly, remembering—your work of faith and labour of love and endurance of hope, of our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father:
4 palung ih nawkamyanawk, nangcae loe Sithaw mah ni ang qoih o, tiah ka panoek.
Knowing, brethren beloved by God, your election, —
5 Kaicae ih tamthanglok hoih loe nangcae khaeah lok hoi khue ah angzo ai, toe thacakhaih, Kacai Muithla hoi loktang panoekhaih hoiah ni angzoh, nangcae khae ka oh o naah kaicae kawbangmaw kho ka sak o, tito na panoek o.
How that, our glad-message, came not unto you, in word only, but also in power, and in Holy Spirit, and in much assurance, —even as ye know what manner of men we became unto you, for your sake;
6 Kating ai pacaekthlaekhaih na tong o cadoeh, Kacai Muithla anghoehaih hoiah tamthanglok to na talawk o pongah, kaicae hnukbang kami hoi Angraeng hnukbang kami ah na oh o.
And, ye, became, imitators of us, and of the Lord, giving welcome unto the word, in much tribulation, with joy of Holy Spirit;
7 To tiah nangcae loe Macedonia hoi Akaia prae ah kaom tangcaanawk mah khet koi kaom ah na oh o.
So that ye became an ensample unto all who were coming to the faith, in Macedonia and in Achaia:
8 Nangcae khae hoi thuih ih Angraeng ih tamthanglok loe, Macedonia hoi Akaia prae thung khue ah na ai, Sithaw na tang o haih tamthang loe ahmuen kruekah amsong boeh; to pongah tidoeh thuih han angaih ai boeh.
From you, in fact, hath sounded forth the word of the Lord—not only in Macedonia and in Achaia, but, in every place, your faith which is toward God, hath gone forth, so that, no need, have we to be saying anything;
9 Kaicae loe kawbangmaw nangcae thungah ka kun o, tito angmacae mah roe a thuih o, kahing hoi loktang Sithaw ih tok to sak hanah krang bokhaih to na toengh o sut moe, Sithaw khaeah nang qoi o boeh;
For, they themselves, concerning us, do tell—what manner of entrance we had unto you, and how ye turned unto God from the idols—to be serving a living and true God,
10 angzo han koi Sithaw palungphuihaih thung hoiah aicae loisakkung, duekhaih thung hoiah Anih mah pathawk ih a Capa Jesu van hoiah angzo tih, tiah na zing o haih kawng doeh a thuih o.
And awaiting his Son out of the heavens—whom he raised from among the dead, —Jesus: Who is to rescue us out of the anger that is coming.
