1 Solomon mah Angraeng ih im hoi siangpahrang im to sak pacoeng moe, a koehhaih akoep naah,
And it comes to pass, at Solomon’s finishing to build the house of YHWH, and the house of the king, and all the desire of Solomon that he delighted to do,
2 Angraeng mah Gideon vangpui ah anih khaeah, vai hnetto haih amtueng pae let.
that YHWH appears to Solomon a second time, as He appeared to him in Gibeon,
3 Angraeng mah anih khaeah, Ka hmaa ah lawk na thuihaih hoi tahmen hnikhaih lok to ka thaih boeh; Ka hmin ohsak poe hanah, na sak ih hae im hae, ka ciimsak boeh pongah, to ahmuen ah Ka mik hoi Ka palungthin to om poe tih.
and YHWH says to him, “I have heard your prayer and your supplication with which you have made supplication before Me; I have hallowed this house that you have built to put My Name there for all time, and My eyes and My heart have been there [for] all the days.
4 Nampa David baktiah, ka hmaa ah toenghaih hoi poek katoeng ah na caeh moe, kang paek ih loknawk to na pazui boih pacoengah, ka thuih ih loknawk hoi kang patuk ih daannawk to na pazui nahaeloe,
And you—if you walk before Me as your father David walked, in simplicity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you, [and] you keep My statutes and My judgments,
5 nampa David khaeah, Israel caanawk ih angraeng tangkhang pongah anghnu han koi kami apet mak ai, tiah ka suek ih lok baktih toengah, Israel kaminawk nuiah angraeng tangkhang to ka caksak han.
then I have established the throne of your kingdom over Israel for all time, as I spoke to your father David, saying, A man of yours is never cut off from [being] on the throne of Israel.
6 Toe nangmah hoi na caanawk mah kai nang qoi o taak moe, kang paek o ih lok hoi daannawk to pazui ai ah, kalah sithawnawk ih tok to na sak o moe, nihcae bok hanah na caeh o nahaeloe,
If you at all turn back—you and your sons—from after Me, and do not keep My commands [and] My statutes that I have set before you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them,
7 Israel kaminawk to ka paek ih prae thung hoiah ka haek moe, ka hmin hanah ka ciimsak ih hae im doeh, ka pahnawt sut han; Israel loe minawk kalah mah patahhaih hanah kasae thuih ih kami ah om tih.
then I have cut off Israel from the face of the ground that I have given to them, and the house that I have hallowed for My Name I send away from My presence, and Israel has been for an allegory and for a byword among all the peoples;
8 Vaihi kahoih parai hae im taengah kacaeh kaminawk boih dawnrai o ueloe, kasae thui o tih; tipongah Angraeng mah hae baktih hmuen to hae prae hoi hae im ah sak vai? tiah thui o tih.
as for this house [that] is high, everyone passing by it is astonished, and has hissed, and they have said, Why has YHWH done this to this land and to this house?
9 Kaminawk mah, Izip prae thung hoiah ampanawk zaehoikung, angmacae ih Angraeng Sithaw to nihcae mah pahnawt o, kalah sithawnawk to patawnh o moe, a bok o; nihcae han toksak pae o pongah, Angraeng mah nihcae nuiah hae baktih raihaih to phaksak, tiah thui o tih, tiah a naa.
And they have said, Because that they have forsaken their God YHWH, who brought out their fathers from the land of Egypt, and they lay hold on other gods, and bow themselves to them and serve them; therefore YHWH has brought all this calamity on them.”
10 Solomon mah im hnetto, Angraeng ih im hoi siangpahrang ih im to saning pumphaeto thung sak.
And it comes to pass, at the end of twenty years, that Solomon has built the two houses, the house of YHWH, and the house of the king.
11 Hiram mah im sak naah kangtoeng sidar thing, hmaica thing hoi suinawk to Solomon hanah paek boih pongah, Solomon siangpahrang mah Kalili prae ih vangpui pumphaeto Tura siangpahrang Hiram hanah paek.
Hiram king of Tyre has assisted Solomon with cedar-trees, and with fir-trees, and with gold, according to all his desire; then King Solomon gives to Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.
12 Hiram loe Solomon mah paek ih vangpuinawk to khet hanah Tura vangpui hoiah caeh naah, palung anghoe ai.
And Hiram comes out from Tyre to see the cities that Solomon has given to him, and they have not been right in his eyes,
13 Kamnawk, kawbaktih vangpuinawk maw nang paek? tiah a thuih. To vangpuinawk to Kabul, tiah ahmin sak moe, vaihni ni khoek to to tiah ahmin oh poe.
and he says, “What [are] these cities that you have given to me, my brother?” And one calls them the land of Cabul to this day.
14 Hiram mah siangpahrang hanah sui talent cumvaito pacoeng, pumphaeto a pat pae.
And Hiram sends one hundred and twenty talents of gold to the king.
15 Solomon siangpahrang loe Angraeng ih im, angmah ih siangpahrang im, Millo vangpui, Jerusalem sipae, Hazor vangpui, Meggido hoi Gezereth vangpuinawk sak hanah tamut to kok.
And this [is] the matter of the tribute that King Solomon has lifted up, to build the house of YHWH, and his own house, and Millo, and the wall of Jerusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer
16 Izip siangpahrang Faro loe caeh moe, Gezer vangpui to tuk; to vangpui to lak pacoengah hmai hoiah a thlaek; to ah kaom Kanaan kaminawk to hum moe, a canu to Solomon mah zu haih hanah tangqum ah paek.
(Pharaoh king of Egypt has gone up and captures Gezer, and burns it with fire, and he has slain the Canaanite who is dwelling in the city, and gives it [as] presents to his daughter, wife of Solomon).
17 Solomon mah Gezer vangpui hoi aloih bang ih Beth-Horon vangpui,
And Solomon builds Gezer, and the lower Beth-Horon,
18 Baalath hoi Tadmor vangpuinawk to pathoep let,
and Ba‘alath, and Tadmor in the wilderness, in the land,
19 hmuenmae pakuemhaih vangpuinawk, hrang lakok suekhaih avangnawk hoi hrang angthueng kaminawk ohhaih vangpuinawk, Jerusalem vangpui taeng, Lebanon hoi a uk ih prae thung boih ah sak koeh ih vangpuinawk to a sak boih.
and all the cities of stores that King Solomon has, and the cities of the chariots, and the cities of the horsemen, and the desire of Solomon that he desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.
20 Israel acaeng thungah kathum ai, Amor kaminawk, Hit kaminawk, Periz kaminawk, Hiv kaminawk hoi Jebus kaminawk to caeh o taak.
The whole of the people that is left of the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, who [are] not of the sons of Israel—
21 Israel kaminawk mah paduek o boih thai ai pongah, a caanawk loe prae thungah caeh o taak; hae kaminawk loe Solomon mah toksak han tamna ah suek ih kami ah oh o, nihcae loe vaihni ni khoek to tamna ah oh o.
their sons who are left behind them in the land, whom the sons of Israel have not been able to devote—he has even lifted up a tribute of service [on] them to this day.
22 Toe Solomon loe Israel kaminawk to midoeh tamna ah suem ai; nihcae loe misatuh kami, a toksah angraengnawk, zaehoikungnawk, misatuh angraengnawk, hrang lakok hoi hrang lakok angthueng kaminawk zaehoikung ah oh o.
And Solomon has not appointed a servant out of the sons of Israel, for they [are] the men of war, and his servants, and his heads, and his captains, and the heads of his chariots, and his horsemen.
23 Solomon ih toksah zaehoikungnawk loe, cumvai panga, quipangato oh o; nihcae mah toksah kaminawk to khawng o.
These [are] the five hundred and fifty heads of the officers who [are] over the work of Solomon, those ruling among the people who are laboring in the work.
24 Faro canu loe Solomon mah David vangpui ah sak pae ih siangpahrang im ah angzoh tahang, to pacoengah Solomon mah Millo vangpui to sak.
Only, the daughter of Pharaoh went up out of the City of David to her house that [Solomon] built for her; then he built Millo.
25 Solomon mah saningto thung Angraeng han sak ih hmaicam pongah angdaeh angbawnhaih hoi hmai angbawnhaih to sak; Angraeng hmaa ah hmuihoih doeh a thlaek. To tiah im to a sak pacoeng.
And Solomon caused burnt-offerings and peace-offerings to ascend three times in a year on the altar that he built for YHWH, and he burned it as incense with that which [is] before YHWH, and finished the house.
26 Solomon siangpahrang loe Edom prae, tuipui kathim taeng ih, Elath vangpui taeng ih Ezion-Geber ah palongpuinawk to a sak let bae.
And King Solomon has made a navy in Ezion-Geber, that is beside Eloth, on the edge of the Sea of Suph, in the land of Edom.
27 Hiram loe tuipui kawng panoek angmah ih tamnanawk hoi palongpui mongh kaminawk to, Solomon ih tamnanawk hoi nawnto toksak hanah patoeh.
And Hiram sends his servants in the navy, shipmen knowing the sea, with servants of Solomon,
28 Nihcae loe Ophir ah caeh o moe, to ah sui talent cumvai pali, pumphaeto phawh o pacoengah, Solomon siangpahrang khaeah paek o.
and they come to Ophir, and take four hundred and twenty talents of gold from there, and bring [it] to King Solomon.
