< 1 Siangpahrang 6 >
1 Israel kaminawk Izip prae hoi amlaemhaih saning cumvai pali, quitazetto haih, Solomon siangpahrang mah Israel kaminawk ukhaih saning palito haih, Ziv khrah, hnetto haih akhrah naah, anih mah Angraeng ih im to sak amtong.
In the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month Ziv, which is the second month, he began to build Yahweh’s house.
2 Solomon siangpahrang mah Angraeng han sak ih im loe, dong quitarukto sawk, dong pumphaeto kawk moe, dong quithumto sang.
The house which King Solomon built for Yahweh had a length of sixty cubits, and its width twenty, and its height thirty cubits.
3 Tempul akunhaih ahmaa ih im loe, dong pumphaeto sawk, im kawkhaih doeh to setto sawk toeng; im ih imphu hmabang loe dong hato oh.
The porch in front of the temple of the house had a length of twenty cubits, which was along the width of the house. Ten cubits was its width in front of the house.
4 Im ah ni aengh akun thai hanah tamcaek thokbuemnawk to a sak.
He made windows of fixed lattice work for the house.
5 Tempul tapang taeng, hmuenciim ataeng, im ataeng kangkui ah im akhaan to a sak.
Against the wall of the house, he built floors all around, against the walls of the house all around, both of the temple and of the inner sanctuary; and he made side rooms all around.
6 Atlim koek imkhaan loe dong pangato kawk; a um ih imkhaan loe dong tarukto kawk moe, thumto haih imkhaan loe dong sarihto kawk. Ataeh ih homh loe im tapang ah amha han ai ah, im tasa bangah imkhaan tetta to a sak.
The lowest floor was five cubits wide, and the middle was six cubits wide, and the third was seven cubits wide; for on the outside he made offsets in the wall of the house all around, that the beams should not be inserted into the walls of the house.
7 Im sak naah, to ahmuen ah sin ai naah sak tangcae thlungnawk hoiah sak pongah, caki, caka hoi sum tuen roe im tasa bang hoiah angthai ai.
The house, when it was under construction, was built of stone prepared at the quarry; and no hammer or ax or any tool of iron was heard in the house while it was under construction.
8 Imkhaan um ih thok loe, tempul bantang bangah oh; kangkoiah sak ih thlak hoiah ni aum ih imkhaan ah caeh, aum ih imkhaan hoiah thumto haih ranuih imkhaan ah caeh tahang.
The door for the middle side rooms was in the right side of the house. They went up by winding stairs into the middle floor, and out of the middle into the third.
9 To tiah anih mah im to sak moe, a sak pacoeng; imphu loe sidar thing hoiah padih.
So he built the house and finished it; and he covered the house with beams and planks of cedar.
10 Im tapang taengah imkhaan to sak boih; to ih imkhaannawk loe dong pangato sang o boih moe, im hoiah sidar thing to angbetsak boih.
He built the floors all along the house, each five cubits high; and they rested on the house with timbers of cedar.
11 Angraeng ih lok Solomon khaeah phak,
Yahweh’s word came to Solomon, saying,
12 hae im na sakhaih kawng pongah, ka thuih ih loknawk to na pazui moe, kang paek ih loknawk hoi ka lokcaekhaihnawk to na pazui nahaeloe, nampa David khaeah ka suek ih lok to, nang khaeah ka koepsak han.
“Concerning this house which you are building, if you will walk in my statutes, and execute my ordinances, and keep all my commandments to walk in them, then I will establish my word with you, which I spoke to David your father.
13 Israel kaminawk salakah ka oh han, kaimah ih Israel kaminawk to ka caeh taak mak ai, tiah a naa.
I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.”
14 To pongah Solomon mah im to sak moe, pacoeng.
So Solomon built the house and finished it.
15 Im tapang hoi im athung to sidar thing hoiah a sak moe, athung bang ih imphu tapang doeh to tiah, sidar thing hoiah a sak; imcih loe hmaica thing hoiah sak.
He built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar; from the floor of the house to the walls of the ceiling, he covered them on the inside with wood. He covered the floor of the house with cypress boards.
16 Kaciim koek ahmuen, Sithaw lokthuihaih ahmuen hanah, kasawk hoi kakawk dong pumphaeto kaom im to pakaa moe, imcih hoi imphu khoek to sidar thingphaek hoiah a sak.
He built twenty cubits of the back part of the house with boards of cedar from the floor to the ceiling. He built this within, for an inner sanctuary, even for the most holy place.
17 To ih imkhaan hmaa ah kaom tempul loe dong quipalito sawk.
In front of the temple sanctuary was forty cubits long.
18 Sidar thing hoi sak ih im athung bang loe, soi ih tuidue thaih krang hoi apawk tangmuem krang hoiah koi; hmuen boih sidar thing hoiah a sak; thlung hoi sak ih hnuk han koi hmuen tidoeh om ai.
There was cedar on the house within, carved with buds and open flowers. All was cedar. No stone was visible.
19 Angraeng lokkamhaih thingkhong suek hanah, im athungah Sithaw lokthuihaih ahmuen to a sak.
He prepared an inner sanctuary in the middle of the house within, to set the ark of Yahweh’s covenant there.
20 Athung bang ih lokthuihaih ahmuen loe dong pumphaeto sawk, dong pumphaeto kawk moe, dong pumphaeto sang. To imkhaan hoi sidar thing hoiah sak ih hmaicam loe, anih mah sui tui hoiah pazut.
Within the inner sanctuary was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in width, and twenty cubits in its height. He overlaid it with pure gold. He covered the altar with cedar.
21 Solomon mah tempul athung bang to kaciim sui tui hoiah pazut; lokthuihaih hmaicam pakaahaih ah a hmaa ah sui hoi sak ih sumqui to payang.
So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold. He drew chains of gold across before the inner sanctuary, and he overlaid it with gold.
22 Tempul boih hoi lokthuihaih taengah kaom hmaicamnawk boih doeh, sui tui hoiah pazut.
He overlaid the whole house with gold, until all the house was finished. He also overlaid the whole altar that belonged to the inner sanctuary with gold.
23 Athung bang ih lokthuihaih ahmuen ah loe olive thing hoiah sak ih, dong hato kasang cherubim hnetto a sak.
In the inner sanctuary he made two cherubim of olive wood, each ten cubits high.
24 Cherubim maeto ih pakhraeh loe, dong pangato oh moe, kalah maeto bang ih pakhraeh doeh dong pangato oh; pakhraeh tadong maeto hoi maeto bang khoek to dong hato oh.
Five cubits was the length of one wing of the cherub, and five cubits was the length of the other wing of the cherub. From the tip of one wing to the tip of the other was ten cubits.
25 Kalah cherubim maeto bae loe dong hato oh; cherubim hnetto loe, akrang hoi a lenhaih doeh anghmong hoi.
The other cherub was ten cubits. Both the cherubim were of one measure and one form.
26 Cherubim maeto loe dong hato sang moe, kalah cherubim maeto doeh to tiah sang toeng.
One cherub was ten cubits high, and so was the other cherub.
27 Anih mah Cherubim to im athung koekah suek; cherubim pakhraeh phok naah, pakhraeh maeto mah tapang to phak moe, kalah maeto ih pakhraeh mah doeh maeto bang ih tapang to phak; imkhaan aum ah pakhraeh maeto hoi maeto angtongh hoi.
He set the cherubim within the inner house. The wings of the cherubim were stretched out, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the middle of the house.
28 Anih mah cherubimnawk to sui tui hoiah pazut.
He overlaid the cherubim with gold.
29 Im athung bang hoi tasa bang ih tapang nuiah, cherubim krang, ungsikung hoi apawk tangmuem krangnawk to oh.
He carved all the walls of the house around with carved figures of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers, inside and outside.
30 Imcih loe sui hoiah pazut, athung hoi tasa bang doeh sui hoiah pazut boih.
He overlaid the floor of the house with gold, inside and outside.
31 Lokthuihaih ahmuen akunhaih thoknawk loe, olive thing hoiah sak; thokbuem hoi homhnawk loe tapang pangato thungah maeto ahmuen to lak.
For the entrance of the inner sanctuary, he made doors of olive wood. The lintel and door posts were a fifth part of the wall.
32 Olive thing hoiah sak ih thok hnetto pongah, cherubim krang, ungsikung hoi kapawk apawknawk to soi moe, sui tui hoiah pazut; cherubim hoi ungsikung doeh sui tui hoiah pazut.
So he made two doors of olive wood; and he carved on them carvings of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold. He spread the gold on the cherubim and on the palm trees.
33 Tapang ahmuen palito thungah ahmuen maeto kakawk, tempul thok homhnawk doeh olive thing hoiah a sak.
He also made the entrance of the temple door posts of olive wood, out of a fourth part of the wall,
34 Thok maeto pongah thok amkhraephaih patta hnetto oh, thok hnetto loe hmaica thing hoiah a sak, kalah thok maeto pongah doeh thok amkhraephaih patta hnetto oh.
and two doors of cypress wood. The two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding.
35 To thok nuiah cherubim krang, ungsikung hoi apawk tangmuem krangnawk to soi pacoengah, soi ih krang to sui tui hoiah pazut boih.
He carved cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers; and he overlaid them with gold fitted on the engraved work.
36 Imthung longhma ih sipae to asom thumto khoek to thlung hoiah a thungh moe, sipae maeto loe sidar thing hoiah a thungh.
He built the inner court with three courses of cut stone and a course of cedar beams.
37 Angraeng im ih imcih loe saning palito haih, Ziv khrah naah, a sak amtong.
The foundation of Yahweh’s house was laid in the fourth year, in the month Ziv.

In the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, the house was finished throughout all its parts and according to all its specifications. So he spent seven years building it.
