< 1 Johan 3 >
1 Aicae loe Sithaw caa ah a oh o, tiah kawk thai hanah, Sithaw loe kawbaktih amlunghaih maw aicae nuiah tawnh, tito khen oh: long mah Anih panoek ai pongah, aicae doeh panoek ai.
And ye see, how great is the love of the Father towards us, who hath called us sons, and made us such. Therefore the world knoweth us not, because it likewise knoweth him not.
2 Palung ih kaminawk, aicae loe vaihi Sithaw caa ah ni a oh o boeh, hmabang ah kawbaktih kami ah maw a om o tih, tito amtueng ai vop: toe anih amtueng naah aicae loe Anih baktiah a om o tih, tito a panoek o; Anih to angmah baktih toengah a hnu o tih.
My beloved, now are we the sons of God; and hitherto, it hath not appeared what we are to be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be in his likeness, and we shall see him as he is.
3 Anih ah oephaih tawn kami loe, Anih ciimcai baktih toengah, angmah hoi angmah to ciimcai ah khosak.
And every one that hath this hope from him, purifieth himself, as he is pure.
4 Mi kawbaktih doeh zaehaih sah kami loe kaalok doeh a aek: zae, tiah thuih ih lok loe kaalok aekhaih hae ni.
And every one that practiseth sin, perpetrateth iniquity; for all sin is iniquity.
5 Toe anih loe aicae zaehaihnawk lak ving han ih ni amtueng, tito na panoek o; anih ah zaehaih om ai.
And ye know, that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him was no sin.
6 Mi kawbaktih doeh anih ah om kami loe zaehaih sah ai: zaehaih sah kami loe anih to hnu ai, panoek doeh panoek ai.
And every one that abideth in him, sinneth not: and every one that sinneth, hath not seen him, nor hath known him.
7 Palung ih nawktanawk, mi mah doeh na ling o hmah nasoe: anih loe toeng baktih toengah, katoeng kami mah loe katoeng hmuen to sak.
My children, let no one deceive you: he that doeth righteousness, is righteous, as the Messiah also is righteous.
8 Zaehaih sah kami loe taqawk ih kami ah ni oh; taqawk loe tangsuek natuem hoi boeh ni zaehaih to a sak. Sithaw Capa loe taqawk toksakhaihnawk to phraek han ih ni angzoh.
And he that committeth sin, is of Satan; because Satan was a sinner from the beginning: and for this cause, the Son of God appeared, that he might destroy the works of Satan.
9 Sithaw mah tapen ih kami loe zaehaih sah ai; anih ih atii loe Sithaw ah oh poe: Sithaw mah tapen ih kami ah oh pongah, anih loe zae thai ai.
Every one that is born of God, doth not practise sin; because his seed is in him, and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10 Hae tiah Sithaw caa hoi taqawk caa to angmaat thaih: toenghaih sah ai kami, angmah ih amnawk palung ai kami loe Sithaw ih kami na ai ni.
By this are the children of God discriminated from the children of Satan. Every one that practiseth not righteousness, and that loveth not his brother, is not of God:
11 Aicae maeto hoi maeto amlung han oh, tiah thuih ih lok loe, tangsuek nathuem hoi na thaih o hmaloe ih lok ah oh.
because this is the commandment, which ye heard from the beginning, that ye should love one another.
12 Kasae poekhaih katawn, amnawk kahum, Kain baktiah om o hmah. Tipongah anih mah angmah ih amnawk to hum? tiah thuih nahaeloe, anih mah sak ih hmuen loe toeng ai, amnawk mah sak ih hmuen to toeng pongah ni.
Not like Cain, who was of the evil one, and slew his brother. And why did he slay him, but because his own works were evil, and those of his brother righteous?
13 Nawkamyanawk, long mah na hnuma o nahaeloe, dawnrai o hmah.
And wonder not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
14 Nawkamyanawk to a palung o pongah aicae loe duekhaih thung hoiah a poeng o boeh moe, hinghaih thungah akun o boeh. Amnawk palung ai kami loe duekhaih thungah ni oh vop.
We know that we have turned from death unto life, by this, that we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother, remaineth in death.
15 Nawkamya hnuma kami loe kami hum kami ah ni oh: kami hum kami loe dungzan hinghaih tawn ai, tito na panoek o. (aiōnios )
For every one that hateth his brother, is a man-slayer; and ye know, that no man-slayer can have eternal life abiding in him. (aiōnios )
16 Aicae han a hinghaih paek pongah, aicae mah Sithaw amlunghaih to a panoek o: aicae mah doeh nawkamyanawk hanah aimacae hinghaih paek toeng han oh.
By this we know his love towards us, because he gave up his life for us: and we also ought to give up our lives for our brethren.
17 Mi kawbaktih doeh hae long nuiah kahoih hmuennawk to tawnh mangh, nawkamya vawthaih doeh a hnuk e, anih nuiah tahmenhaih tawn ai nahaeloe, kawbangmaw Sithaw amlunghaih anih thungah om tih?
But whoever hath worldly possessions, and seeth his brother in want, and shutteth up his bowels from him, how is the love of God in him?
18 Nawktanawk, lok hoiah maw, palai hoiah maw amlung o hmah si; loktang hoi toksakhaih hoiah amlung o si.
My children, let us not love one another in words and in tongue, but in acts and in truth.
19 To tiah amlunghaih rang hoiah aicae loe loktang ih kami ah a oh o, tito amtueng, to pongah aicae loe Anih hmaa ah kamongah om tih.
And by this, we recognize that we are of the truth; and, before he shall come, we make our hearts confident.
20 Aimacae ih palung mah aicae zaehaih net cadoeh, Sithaw loe aicae ih palung pongah len kue, anih mah hmuennawk to panoek boih.
But if our heart condemneth us, how much greater is God than our heart, and knowing all things?
21 Palung ih kaminawk, aimacae ih palung mah aicae zaehaih net ai nahaeloe, oephaih hoiah Sithaw khaeah a caeh o han oh.
My beloved, if our heart condemneth us not, we have open countenances before God.
22 Anih mah thuih ih loknawk to a pazui o moe, a koeh ih hmuennawk to a sak o pongah, anih khae hoiah a hnik o ih hmuennawk to a hnuk o boih.
And whatever we ask, we receive from him; because we keep his commandments, and do acceptable things before him.
23 Aicae han kaalok ang paek baktih toengah, aicae mah a Capa Jesu Kri ih ahmin to tang moe, maeto hoi maeto amlung han oh, hae loe anih mah paek ih kaalok ah oh.
And this is his commandment, that we believe on the name of his Son Jesus the Messiah, and that we love one another as he hath commanded us.
24 Anih mah paek ih kaalok tahngai kami loe Anih thungah oh, Anih doeh to kami thungah oh toeng. Anih mah aicae han paek ih Muithla rang hoiah ni Anih aicae thungah oh, tiah a panoek o.
And he that keepeth his commandments, is kept by him, and he dwelleth in him: and by this we understand that he abideth in us, from his Spirit which he hath given to us.
