Now about spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be uninformed.
2 Nangcae loe lok apae thai ai krang khaeah hoih ving ih, Gentel kami ah na oh o boeh, tito na panoek o.
You know that when you were pagans, you were influenced and led astray to mute idols.
3 To pongah mi kawbaktih mah doeh Sithaw ih Muithla hoiah lokthuih naah, Jesu tangoenghaih lok to thui vai ai: Kacai Muithla ai ah loe, mi mah doeh Jesu loe Angraeng ni, tiah thui thai ai, tiah na panoek o thai han ih ni kang thuih o.
Therefore I inform you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.
4 Muithla loe maeto khue ni, toe tangqum loe congca oh.
There are different gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 Sithaw toksakhaih congca oh, toe Angraeng loe maeto khue ni.
There are different ministries, but the same Lord.
6 Toksakhaih congca oh, toe kaminawk boih khaeah toksah Sithaw loe maeto khue ni.
There are different ways of working, but the same God works all things in all people.
7 To langlacadoeh atho oh thai boih hanah, Muithla amtuenghaih to kami boih hanah paek.
Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.
8 Muithla mah kami maeto khaeah palunghahaih to paek; kalah maeto khaeah kathuk lok panoekthaihaih to paek;
To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by the same Spirit,
9 kalah maeto khaeah tanghaih to paek; kalah maeto khaeah ngantuisakhaih to paek;
to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit,
10 kalah maeto khaeah dawnrai hmuen sak thaihaih to paek; kalah maeto khaeah lokthuih thaihaih to paek; kalah maeto khaeah Sithaw ih Muithla panoek thaihaih to paek; kalah maeto khaeah lok congca apaeh thaihaih to paek; kalah maeto khaeah loknawk leh thaihaih to paek.
to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in various tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.
11 Toe hae hmuennawk boih loe maeto ah kaom kanghmong Muithla mah ni, a koeh baktiah kami boih khaeah paek.
All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, who apportions them to each one as He determines.
12 Takpum maeto pongah ngan kangphae oh mang, toe to tiah kangphae ngannawk loe takpum maeto ah ni oh: Kri doeh to tiah oh toeng.
The body is a unit, though it is composed of many parts. And although its parts are many, they all form one body. So it is with Christ.
13 To baktih toengah Judah kami maw, to tih ai boeh loe Gentel kami maw, to tiah ai boeh loe misong maw, to tih ai boeh loe kaloih kami maw, Muithla maeto hoiah takpum maeto ah tuinuemhaih a hnuk o moe, Muithla maeto ah ni a naek o boih.
For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free, and we were all given one Spirit to drink.
14 Takpum loe maeto khue ah om ai, angphae mangh.
For the body does not consist of one part, but of many.
15 Khok mah, Kai loe ban na ai ni, kai loe takpum thungah ka om ai, tiah thui nahaeloe, to tiah a thuih pongah takpum thungah om ai boeh maw?
If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body.
16 To baktih toengah naa mah, Kai loe mik na ai ni, takpum thungah ka om ai, tiah thui nahaeloe, to tiah a thuih pongah takpum thungah om ai boeh maw?
And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body.
17 Takpum boih mik maeto ah om nahaeloe, lok thaihaih loe naa ah maw om tih? Takpum boih lok thaihaih ah om nahaeloe, naa ah maw ahmui thaihaih to om tih?
If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?
18 Toe vaihi loe Sithaw mah a koeh baktiah, kangphae takpum boih to, takpum thungah suek boeh.
But in fact, God has arranged the members of the body, every one of them, according to His design.
19 Kangphae ngannawk boih to maeto ah om o soe nahaeloe, takpum loe naa ah maw om tih boeh?
If they were all one part, where would the body be?
20 Toe vaihiah ngan kangphae oh mangh, toe takpum loe maeto ni.
As it is, there are many parts, but one body.
21 To pongah mik mah ban khaeah, Nang angtoenghaih ka tawn ai, tiah thui thai ai: lu mah doeh khok khaeah, Nang aloehaih ka tawn ai, tiah thui thai ai.
The eye cannot say to the hand, “I do not need you.” Nor can the head say to the feet, “I do not need you.”
22 To tiah na ai ni, takpum thungah thacak ai koekah kamtueng kangphae ngannawk to lokpui ah oh lat.
On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable,
23 Pakoeh han krah ai ah a poek o ih kangphae ngannawk to pakoeh kue han oh lat; khet kamcuk ai kangphae ngannawk to khet kamcukah oh lat.
and the parts we consider less honorable, we treat with greater honor. And our unpresentable parts are treated with special modesty,
24 Kahoih ngan kangphae loe to tiah khet han angai ai: toe Sithaw mah takpum to kangvan ah sak moe, kahoih ai kangphae ngan to lokpui ah a suek lat:
whereas our presentable parts have no such need. But God has composed the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it,
25 takpum to tapraek han om ai; toe kangphae ngannawk to kangvan ah khetzawn boih han angaih.
so that there should be no division in the body, but that its members should have mutual concern for one another.
26 Ngan kangphae maeto mah nathaih tongh naah, kangphae ngannawk boih mah kana panoek o, to tih ai boeh loe kangphae ngan maeto pakoeh ah oh naah, kangphae ngannawk boih nawnto anghoe o.
If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.
27 Nangcae loe vaihi Kri takpum ah ni na oh o moe, Anih ih kangphae ngan ah ni na oh o boih.
Now you are the body of Christ, and each of you is a member of it.
28 Sithaw mah hmaloe koekah patoeh ih kaminawk, hnetto haihah loe tahmaanawk, thumto haihah loe patukkungnawk to kricaabu hanah paek, to pacoengah dawnrai hmuen sah kami, to pacoengah ngantuihaih tangqum tawn kami, minawk abom thaih kami, ukthaih kami, lok congca apae thaih kaminawk to paek.
And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, and those with gifts of healing, helping, administration, and various tongues.
29 Nihcae loe patoeh ih kami boih maw? Nihcae loe tahmaa ah maw oh o boih? Nihcae loe patukkung ah maw oh o boih? Nihcae loe dawnrai hmuen sah thaih kami ah maw oh o boih?
Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles?
30 Nihcae mah ngantuihaih tangqum tawnh o boih maw? Nihcae loe lok congca apaeh o boih maw? Nihcae loe lok leh o thai boih maw?
Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret?
31 Toe kahoih koek tangqum paekhaih to koeh o kue ah: to tih nahaeloe kahoih koek loklam to kang patuek o han.
But eagerly desire the greater gifts. And now I will show you the most excellent way.
