< 1 Dungkrhoekhaih 29 >

1 To pacoengah David siangpahrang mah kamkhueng kaminawk boih khaeah, Sithaw mah qoih ih, ka capa Solomon loe nawkta moe, saning doeh nawk vop; sak han koi tok loe len parai; siangpahrang im loe kami han ih na ai, Angraeng Sithaw han ih ni.
And king David said unto all the assembly, Solomon, the only son of mine whom God hath made choice of, is yet young and tender, and the work is great; because not for man is the palace to be, but for the Lord God.
2 Ka Sithaw ih im hanah sui hoi sak han koi hmuen to sui, sumkanglung hoi sak han koi hmuen to sumkanglung, sumkamling hoi sak han koi hmuen to sumkamling, sum hoi sak han koi hmuen to sum, thing hoi sak han koi hmuen to thing, thlung hoi sak han koi hmuen to Onyx thlung, rong kampha thlung, rong congca kampha thlung, atho kaom congca thlung hoi thlung kanglungnawk doeh, ka sak thai thung paroeai sak hanah ka paroep boeh.
But with all my might have I made ready for the house of my God, the gold for the things of gold, and the silver for the things of silver, and the copper for the things of copper, the iron for the things of iron, and the wood for the things of wood, onyx stones, and stones to be set, bright stones, and stones of divers colors, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.
3 Ka Sithaw bokhaih im ah palung ka suek pongah, ciimcai im sakhaih hmuennawk loe ka tawnh ih hmuennawk, im sak han ka paroep ih sui hoi sumkanglung to ka Sithaw ih im ah ka paek boih boeh,
Moreover, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, have I acquired as my own property gold and silver; [and this] have I given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house:
4 tasa bang hoiah im tapang pazut hanah, ophir sui talent sang thumto, atui kaciim sumkanglung talent sang sarihto,
Three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses;
5 sui hoi sak han koi hmuennawk to sui, sumkanglung hoi sak han koi sumkanglung to, ban toksah kop kaminawk khaeah ka paek boih boeh. Mi maw vaihniah Angraeng khae angpaek han ka koeh? tiah a naa.
All that is needed of gold and of silver, and for every manner of work [to be made] by the hands of artificers. And who [now] is willing to consecrate his hand this day unto the Lord?
6 To pacoengah imthung takoh lu koek, Israel acaeng angraengnawk, misatuh kami sangto ukkung, cumvaito ukkung angraengnawk hoi siangpahrang toksah ukkungnawk loe anghoehaih hoiah angpaek o.
Thereupon offered voluntarily the chiefs of the family divisions and the princes of the tribes of Israel, and the captains of the thousands and of the hundreds, with the supervisors of the king's work;
7 Nihcae loe Sithaw im toksak haih hanah, sui talent sang pangato, sui darik sang hato, sumkanglung talent sang hato, sumkamling talent sang hatlaitazetto hoi sum talent sang cumvaito a paek o.
And they gave for the service of the house of God of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand drachms, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of copper eighteen thousand talents, and of iron one hundred thousand talents.
8 Atho kana thlung tawn kaminawk doeh, Gershom acaeng Jehiel ban ah, Angraeng im ih hmuen pakuemhaih ahmuen ah a paek o.
And those with whom stones were found gave them to the treasury of the house of the Lord, under the supervision of Jechiel the Gershunite.
9 Kaminawk loe paek koehhaih hoiah paek o pongah anghoe o; Angraeng khaeah paawt ai ah palung tang hoiah a paek o; David siangpahrang doeh paroeai anghoehaih hoiah oh.
Then did the people rejoice, because they had voluntarily offered: for with an undivided heart did they offer to the Lord: and also king David rejoiced with great joy.
10 David mah rangpui hmaa ah, Kaicae ampa Israel ih Angraeng Sithaw, nang khaeah dungzan khoek to, tahamhoihaih om nasoe, tiah Angraeng to tahamhoihaih paek.
And David blessed the Lord before the eyes of all the congregation; and David said, Blessed be thou, O Lord the God of Israel our father, from everlasting even unto everlasting.
Thine, O Lord, are the greatness, and the might, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty, yea, all that is in the heavens and on the earth: thine, O Lord, is the kingdom, and thou art exalted as the head above all.
And riches and honor come from thee, and thou rulest over all; and in thy hand are power and might; and it is in thy hand to make great, and to give strength unto all.
13 To pongah vaihi, kaicae ih Sithaw, nang to tahamhoihaih kang paek o moe, na hmin lensawkhaih kang pakoeh o.
And now, O our God, we give thanks unto thee, and praise thy glorious name.
For who am I, and what is my people, that we should possess the power to offer voluntarily after this sort? for from thee is every thing, and out of thy own have we given unto thee.
15 Kaicae loe kam panawk baktiah na hmaa ah angvin ah ni ka oh o; long ah kaicae hinghaih loe tahlip baktiah ni oh, oep han koi om ai.
For strangers are we before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: like a shadow are our days on the earth, and there is no hope [of abiding].
16 Aw kaicae ih Angraeng Sithaw, ciimcai na hmin hanah, na im sak ka paroep o haih hae hmuennawk boih loe na ban hoiah ni angzoh, hmuennawk boih loe nang ih ni.
O Lord our God! all this abundant store which we have prepared to build for thee a house for thy holy name, is out of thy own hand, and thine is all.
17 Ka Sithaw, nang loe palung to na khingh moe, toenghaih to nang hoe haih, tiah ka panoek. Kai loe hae hmuennawk boih hae poek toenghaih hoi paek koehhaih palungthin hoiah ni kang paek; vaihi hae ah kaom nangmah ih kaminawk mah paek koehhaih palungthin hoiah nang khaeah paek o ih hmuen hae anghoehaih hoiah ka hnuk boeh.
And I know, my God, that thou probest the heart, and uprightness thou receivest in favor. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart have I voluntarily offered all these things; and now thy people, that are present here, do I see with joy offering voluntarily unto thee.
18 Aw kaicae ampa Abraham, Issak hoi Israel ih Angraeng Sithaw, hae tiah hmuenmae paek koehhaih palungthin hae nangmah ih kaminawk palung thungah omsak poe ah loe, nihcae ih palungthin doeh nang khaeah omsak ah;
O Lord, God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our father, preserve this for ever as the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and direct their heart firmly unto thee.
19 na paek ih loknawk, na thuih ih loknawk hoi na lok takroekhaih dannawk to palungthin boih hoiah pazui moe, sak ka tim ih siangpahrang im to a sak pacoeng thai hanah, ka capa Solomon khaeah kakoep palungthin to paek ah, tiah lawkthuih.
And unto Solomon my son do thou give an undivided heart to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all, and to build the palace, for which I have made preparation.
20 To pacoengah David mah rangpuinawk khaeah, Na Angraeng Sithaw to tahamhoihaih paek oh, tiah a naa. To pongah kaminawk boih mah ampanawk ih Sithaw to bok o moe, Angraeng hoi siangpahrang hmaa ah akuep o.
And David said to all the assembly. Bless now the Lord your God. And all the assembly blessed the Lord the God of their fathers, and bent down their heads, and prostrated themselves to the Lord, and to the king.
21 Khawnbangah Angraeng khaeah hmuen tathlanghaih to sak o, Angraeng khaeah hmai angbawnhaih to a sak o; maitaw tae sangto, tuu tae sangto, tuucaa sangto, naek koi hmuennawk, angbawnhaih hmuen paekhaihnawk to Israel caanawk boih hanah paek o.
And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the Lord, and they offered burnt-offerings unto the Lord, on the morrow after that day, one thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, a thousand sheep, with their drink-offerings, and [other] sacrifices in abundance for all Israel;
22 To na niah Angraeng hmaa ah anghoehaih hoiah a caak o moe, naek o. To pacoengah a capa Solomon to vai hnetto haih ah, siangpahrang ah suek o let; Angraeng hmaa ah, ukkung ah situi to bawh o moe, tok paek o pacoengah Zadok to qaima ah cak o sak.
And they ate and drank before the Lord on that day with great joy. And they declared the second time Solomon the son of David to be king, and they anointed him unto the Lord as chief ruler, and Zadok as priest.
23 To pongah Solomon loe, ampa David zuengah, angraeng tangkhang pongah siangpahrang ah anghnut; a qoengh tahang moe, Israel kaminawk boih mah anih ih lok to tahngaih pae o.
Then sat Solomon on the throne of the Lord as king instead of David his father, and he was prosperous; and all Israel obeyed him.
24 Angraengnawk boih hoi thacak kaminawk, David siangpahrang capanawk boih mah doeh, Solomon siangpahrang khaeah ang paek o.
And all the princes, and the mighty men, and also all the sons of king David, submitted themselves unto king Solomon.
25 Israel kaminawk boih mikhnukah Angraeng mah Solomon to tapom tahang, Israel siangpahrangnawk mah tawn o vai ai ih lensawk siangpahrang to paek.
And the Lord made Solomon exceedingly great before the eyes of all Israel; and he bestowed upon him a royal majesty such as had not been on any king over Israel before him.
26 Jesse capa David loe Israel kaminawk boih nuiah siangpahrang ah oh.
Thus did David the son of Jesse reign over all Israel.
27 Israel kaminawk to saning quipalito uk; Hebron ah saning sarihto uk moe, Jerusalem ah saning quithum, thumto uk.
And the time that he reigned over Israel was forty years: in Hebron he reigned seven years, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three [years].
28 Anih loe saning kasawkah hing; angraenghaih hoi pakoehhaih hoiah oh moe, mitong naah duek; anih zuengah a capa Solomon to siangpahrang ah oh.
And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honor: and Solomon his son became king in his stead.
29 Khenah, David siangpahrang ah oh naah, toksakhaihnawk loe amtonghaih hoi boeng khoek to, tahmaa Samuel, tahmaa Nathan hoi tahmaa Gad ih cabu thung ah oh,
And the acts of king David, the first and the last, behold, they are written in the history of Samuel the seer, and in the history of Nathan the prophet, and in the history of Gad the seer,

Together with all his reign and his mighty deeds, and the times that passed over him, and over Israel, and over all the kingdoms of the [various] countries.
