1 David mah, Philistin kaminawk to tuk moe, pazawk; Philistin kaminawk ih ban thung hoiah Gath vangpui hoi a taeng ih ahmuennawk doeh a lak.
And it cometh to pass after this, that David smiteth the Philistines, and humbleth them, and taketh Gath and its small towns out of the hand of the Philistines;
2 Moab prae doeh a tuk, Moab kaminawk loe anih ih tamna ah oh o moe, anih hanah tamut paek o.
and he smiteth Moab, and the Moabites are servants to David, bringing a present.
3 Zobah siangpahrang Hadadezer loe a ukhaih caksak hanah Euphrate vapui khoek to caeh, to naah David mah anih to tuk moe, Hammath vangpui karoek to pazawk.
And David smiteth Hadarezer king of Zobah, at Hamath, in his going to establish his power by the river Phrat,
4 David mah anih khae hoi hrangleeng sangto, hrang angthueng kami sang sarihto, khok hoi misatuh kami sang pumphaeto naeh; hrangleeng cumvaito khue ni a lak pae, kalah hrangleengnawk loe paro pae boih.
and David captureth from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen, and David destroyeth utterly all the chariots, and leaveth of them a hundred chariots [only].
5 Zobad siangpahrang Hadarezer abomh hanah Damaska vangpui ih Syria kaminawk angzoh o, to naah David mah nihcae to sang pumphae hnetto hum.
And Aram of Damascus cometh in to give help to Hadarezer king of Zobah, and David smiteth in Aram twenty and two thousand men,
6 David loe Syria prae Damaska vangpui ah misatoep kami to suek; Syria kaminawk loe David ih tamna ah oh o moe, anih hanah tamut paek o. David loe a caehhaih ahmuen kruekah Angraeng mah oh thuih.
and David putteth [garrisons] in Aram of Damascus, and the Aramaeans are to David for servants, bearing a present, and Jehovah giveth salvation to David whithersoever he hath gone.
7 Hadarezer ih tamnanawk mah patoh ih sui aphawnawk to David mah lak moe, Jerusalem ah sin.
And David taketh the shields of gold that have been on the servants of Hadarezer, and bringeth them in to Jerusalem;
8 David mah Hadarezer ih vangpui Tibhat, Kun thung hoiah paroeai pop sumkamling to lak; to ih sumkamling hoiah ni Solomon mah, sumkamling tuili, tungnawk hoi sumkamling hmuennawk to sak.
and from Tibhath, and from Chun, cities of Hadarezer, hath David taken very much brass; with it hath Solomon made the brazen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass.
9 David mah kawbangmaw Zobad siangpahrang Hadarezer ih misatuh kaminawk to pazawk, tiah Hammath siangpahrang Tou mah thaih;
And Tou king of Hamath heareth that David hath smitten the whole force of Hadarezer king of Zobah,
10 (Tou hoi Hadarezer loe misa angtuk hoi) Tou ih misa Hadarezer to tuk pazawk pae pongah, David to ban sin moe, oephaih lokthuih hanah, a capa Hadoram to patoeh; Hadoram mah sui, phoisa, sumkamling hoiah sak ih laom sabae congcanawk to sin pae.
and he sendeth Hadoram his son unto king David, to ask of him of peace, and to bless him (because that he hath fought against Hadarezer, and smiteth him, for a man of wars with Tou had Hadarezer been, ) and all kinds of vessels, of gold, and silver, and brass;
11 David loe to ih hmuenmaenawk boih, Edom, Moab, Ammon, Philistin, Amalek kaminawk boih khae hoiah lak ih, sui hoi phoisa hoiah sak ih hmuennawk to Angraeng hanah paek boih.
also them hath king David sanctified to Jehovah with the silver and the gold that he hath taken from all the nations, from Edom, and from Moab, and from the sons of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
12 Zeruiah capa Abishai mah Paloi azawn ah Edom kami sang hatlaitazetto hum.
And Abishai son of Zeruiah hath smitten Edom in the valley of salt — eighteen thousand,
13 Edom ah misatoep kami to a suek, Edom kaminawk loe David ih tamna ah oh o boih. David loe a caehhaih ahmuen kruekah Angraeng mah oh thuih.
and he putteth in Edom garrisons, and all the Edomites are servants to David; and Jehovah saveth David whithersoever he hath gone.
14 David loe Israel kaminawk boih ukkung siangpahrang ah oh, anih loe angmah ih kaminawk nuiah kamsoem hoi katoeng hmuennawk to ni sak.
And David reigneth over all Israel, and he is doing judgment and righteousness to all his people,
15 Zeruiah capa Joab loe misatuh kaminawk ukkung ah oh; Ahilud capa Jehosaphat loe ca tarikkung ah oh.
and Joab son of Zeruiah [is] over the host, and Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud [is] remembrancer,
16 Ahitub capa Zadok hoi Abiathar capa Abimelek loe qaima ah oh hoi; Shasha loe athung ih ca tarikkung ah oh.
and Zadok son of Ahitub, and Abimelech son of Abiathar, [are] priests, and Shavsha [is] scribe,
17 Jehoiada capa Benaiah loe Kereth hoi Peleth kaminawk ukkung ah oh; David capanawk loe David khaeah angraeng tok to sak o.
and Benaiah son of Jehoiada [is] over the Cherethite and the Pelethite, and the elder sons of David [are] at the hand of the king.
