1 Kish capa Saul khae hoiah anghawk ving moe, Ziklag ah oh naah, David khaeah angzo kaminawk loe, misatuk abomh kami hoi thacak misatuh kami ah oh o.
Now these, are they who came unto David, to Ziklag, he yet being shut up, because of Saul son of Kish, —and, they, were among the heroes, helpers in the war;
2 Nihcae loe kalii to sin o moe, banqoi bantang palaa kaat thaih kami, ngazai hoiah thlung zai thaih kami ah oh o; to kaminawk loe Benjamin acaeng Saul ih nawkamya ah oh o.
armed with the bow, using right hand or left with stones, and with arrows in the bow, —of the brethren of Saul, out of Benjamin:
3 Gibeath acaeng Shemah capa hnik Ahiezer hoi Joash loe kacoehta ah oh hoi; Azmaveth capa hnik loe Jeziel hoi Pelet; Berakhah hoi Jehu loe Anathoth acaeng ah oh hoi,
the chief, Ahiezer, and Joash, sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite, and Jeziel and Pelet, sons of Azmaveth, —and Beracah, and Jehu the Anathothite;
4 kami quithumto thungah thacak kami Gibeon vangpui acaeng Ishmaiah loe kami quithumto zaehoikung ah oh; Jeremiah, Jahaziel, Johanan, Gederah acaeng Jozabad,
and Ishmaiah, the Gibeonite, a hero among the thirty, and over the thirty, —and Jeremiah and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Jozabad, the Gederathite;
5 Eluzai, Jerimoth, Bealiah, Shemariah hoi Harup acaeng Shephatiah,
Eluzai and Jerimoth and Bealiah and Shemariah, and Shephatiah, the Haruphite;
6 Elkanah, Jesiah, Azarel, Joezer hoi Korah acaeng Jashobeam,
Elkanah and Isshiah, and Azarel, and Joezer and Jashobeam, the Korahites;
7 Gedor vangpui ih Jeroham capa Joelah hoi Zebadiah.
and Joelah and Zebadiah, sons of Jeroham, of Gedor.
8 David ohhaih praezaek ah kaom thoemto Gad kaminawk doeh oh o, nihcae loe thacak misatuh kami ah oh o moe, aphaw sin hoi misatuh thaih kami ah oh o; nihcae ih mikhmai loe kaipui mikhmai baktiah oh o moe, mae nui ih tasuk baktiah angtawt loe o.
And, of the Gadites, there separated themselves unto David, to the stronghold towards the desert, heroes of valour, men of war, for battle, men that could handle shield and spear, —and, faces of lions, were their faces, and, like gazelles upon the mountains, were they, for swiftness:
9 Ezer loe kacoehta ah oh; hnetto haih ah Obadiah; thumto haih ah Eliab,
Ezer, the chief, Obadiah, the second, —Eliab, the third;
10 palito haih ah Mishmanah, pangato haih ah loe Jeremiah to oh,
Mashmannah, the fourth, Jeremiah, the fifth;
11 tarukto haih ah Attai, sarihto haih ah loe Eliel,
Attai, the sixth, Eliel the seventh;
12 tazetto haih ah Johanan; takawtto haih ah Elzabad,
Johanan, the eighth, Elzabad, the ninth;
13 hato haih ah Jeremiah, hatlaito haih ah Makbanai to oh.
Jeremiah, the tenth, Machbannai, the eleventh.
14 Hae kaminawk loe Gad ih caanawk thungah misatuh zaaehoikung ah oh o, tamsi koekah cumvaito, kapop koekah sangto oh o.
These, were of the sons of Gad, chiefs of the host, —one to a hundred, the least, and, the greatest, to a thousand.
15 Jordan vapui taeng tui mah uengh boihhaih khrah tangsuek naah, azawn ah kaom kaminawk loe ni angyae bang hoiah niduem bangah cawnh o boih.
These, are they who passed over the Jordan, in the first month, when, it, was full, over all its banks, —and they put to flight all them of the vales, to the east and to the west.
16 Benjamin kaminawk hoi Judah kaminawk loe David misa abuephaih ahmuen ah angzoh o.
And there came, of the sons of Benjamin, and Judah, as far as the stronghold, unto David.
17 David loe nihcae dawt hanah caeh moe, nihcae khaeah, Kai abomh hanah poekmonghaih hoiah nang zoh o nahaeloe, nangcae abomh hanah ka ohcoek; toe ka misanawk hmaa ah kai nang phat o taak nahaeloe, ka sakpazaehaih om ai pongah, aicae ampa ih Sithaw mah khen nasoe loe, nangcae nuiah lokcaek nasoe, tiah a naa.
And David went forth to meet them, and responded, and said to them, If, peaceably, ye are come unto me, to help me, I shall have towards you, a heart for unity, —but, if to betray me to mine adversaries, there being no violence in my hands, may the God of our fathers see and rebuke!

Nang abomh kaminawk khaeah monghaih om nasoe; na Sithaw mah nang ang bomh, tiah a naa. To pongah David mah nihcae to talawk moe, angmah ih misatuh zaehoikung ah suek.
Then, the spirit, clothed Amasai, chief of the thirty, Thine, O David, Yea, with, thee, O son of Jesse! Prosperity, prosperity to thee, And prosperity to thy helpers, For thy God, hath helped thee: So David accepted them, and set them among the chiefs of the band.
19 Philistin kaminawk hoi Saul tuk hanah a caeh naah, thoemto Manasseh kaminawk loe David khaeah angzoh o; nihcae loe angmah ih angraeng Saul khaeah akun o ueloe, aicae ih lu nganbawh kana paek o tih, tiah a thuih o pongah, David hoi anih ih kaminawk mah Philistin kaminawk to abomh o ai, angmacae angraengnawk hoi lok angdueng o pacoengah, David to kalah bangah patoeh o ving.
And, of Manasseh, there fell away unto David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle, but they helped them not, —for the lords of the Philistines advisedly sent him away, saying, At the price of our heads, he might fall away to his master, Saul.
20 David Ziklag vangpui ah caeh naah, Manasseh acaeng Adnah, Jozabad, Jediael, Mikael, Jozabad, Elihu hoi Zallethai cae to anih khaeah angzoh o; hae kaminawk loe Manasseh acaeng sangto ukkung ah oh o.
When he went into Ziklag, there fell away unto him, of Manasseh, Adnah and Jozabad, and Jediael and Michael and Jozabad, and Elihu and Zillethai, —chiefs of the thousands that pertained to Manasseh;
21 To kaminawk loe thacak misatuh angraeng ah oh o moe, mingcah ban thung hoiah David bomkung ah oh o.
and, they, helped with David, against the [marauding] band, for, heroes of valour, were they all, —and they became captains in the host;
22 Nito pacoeng nito, Sithaw ih misatuh kami baktiah, thacak parai misatuh kami tawn ai nathung, David to abomh hanah kaminawk angzoh o.
for, from day to day, there came unto David, to help him, —until it was a great camp, like a camp of God.
23 Angraeng mah thuih ih lok baktih toengah, Saul ukhaih prae to David khaeah paqoi pae ving hanah, Hebron ah David khaeah angzo, misatuk han amsakcoek kaminawk loe,
And, these, are the numbers of the chiefs armed for war, they came unto David, to Hebron, —to turn round the kingdom of Saul unto him, according to the bidding of Yahweh:
24 aphaw hoi tayae kasin, misatuh Judah kaminawk sang taruk quitazetto,
Sons of Judah, bearers of shield and spear, six thousand and eight hundred, armed for war.
25 misatuk han amsakcoek thacak Simeon kaminawk sang sarih, cumvaito,
Of sons of Simeon, heroes of valour for the war, seven thousand, and one hundred.
26 Levi kaminawk sang pali, quitarukto oh o,
Of the sons of Levi, four thousand, and six hundred.
27 Jehoiada loe Aaron acaeng zaehoikung ah oh moe, kami sang thum, cumvai sarihto,
And Jehoiada, was chief ruler for Aaron, —and, with him, three thousand and seven hundred;
28 thacak thendoeng Zadok hoi anih ampa ih imthung takoh thung hoiah misatuh angraeng pumphae hnetto,
and Zadok, a young man, a hero of valour, —and the house of his father, captains twenty and two.
29 Benjamin acaengnawk thung hoiah Saul ih nawkamyanawk sang thumto oh o; hae acaeng thungah kami pop loe Saul ih imthung nuiah oepthok ah khosah kami ah oh o.
And, of the sons of Benjamin, brethren of Saul, three thousand, —and, hitherto, the greater part of them, had been keeping the charge of the house of Saul.
30 Thacak moe, angmacae acaeng thungah ahmin kamthang Ephraim ih acaeng sing hnet, sang tazetto,
And, of the sons of Ephraim, twenty thousand, and eight hundred, —heroes of valour, men of renown, to their ancestral house.
31 David to siangpahrang ah suek hanah ahmin paek ahap Manasseh acaeng thung ih kami sang hatlai tazetto oh o.
And, of the half tribe of Manasseh, eighteen thousand, who were distinguished by name, coming in to make David king.
32 Atue panoek moe, Israel kaminawk mah sak han koi panoek kami, Issakar kami kacoehta cumvai hnetto oh o, nihcae ih nawkamyanawk loe nihcae tlim ah toksak hanah amsak o coek.
And, of the sons of Issachar, such as were of good understanding of the times, to know what Israel, should do, their chiefs, were two hundred, and, all their brethren, were at their bidding.
33 Misatuh kop, misa angtukhaih hmuenmae hoi akoep ah kaom, misatuh thaih Zebulun kami sing pangato oh o.
Of Zebulun—such as were ready to go forth in host, expert for battle with all weapons of war, fifty thousand, —and for setting in array, not of two minds!
34 Naphtali acaeng hoi misatuh angraeng sangto, aphaw hoi tayae sin kami sing thum, sang sarihto oh o.
And, of Naphtali, a thousand captains, —and, with them, with shield and spear, thirty-seven thousand.
35 Misatuk kop Dan acaeng loe sing hnet, sang tazet, cumvai tarukto oh o.
And, of the Danite, expert for war, twenty-eight thousand, and six hundred.
36 Misatuk kop misatuk han amsakcoek Asher acaeng loe sing palito oh o.
And, of Asher, such as were ready to go forth in host to set in array for battle, forty thousand.
37 Jordan vapui yaeh ih Reuben, Gad hoi ahap Manasseh kami thung hoiah maiphaw congca sin kami sing hatlaihnetto oh o.
And, from over the Jordan, of the Reubenites and Gadites and half tribe of Manasseh, with all manner of weapons of war for battle, a hundred and twenty thousand.
38 Hae kaminawk boih loe misatuk kop kami, misatuh thaih angdoethaih ahmuen ah angdoet o moe, David to Israel kaminawk boih ukkung siangpahrang ah suek hanah poekhaih katawn, Hebron ah angzo kami ah oh o; kanghmat Israel kaminawk boih mah doeh David to siangpahrang ah suek hanah poekhaih tawn o.
All these, being men of war, expert in setting in battle-array, with a perfect heart, came to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel, —moreover also, all the rest of Israel, were of one heart to make David king.
39 To kaminawk loe David khaeah ni thumto oh o moe, a naek o moe, a caak o; angmacae nawkamyanawk mah caaknaek to paek o.
So they were there, with David, three days, eating and drinking, —for their brethren had made preparation for them.
40 A taengah kaom Issakar, Zebulun hoi Naphtali kaminawk loe caaknaek to laa hrang, kaengkuu hrang, mule hrang hoi maitawnawk hoiah phawh pae o; nihcae loe anghoe o parai pongah, Israel prae thungah takaw dip, thaiduet thaih hoi sak ih takaw, misur thaih kazaek hoiah sak ih takaw, misurtui, situi, maitawnawk hoi tuunawk to sin pae o.
Moreover also, they who were near of kin unto them, as far as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, were bringing bread, on asses and on camels and on mules and on oxen, meal-food, cakes of figs and cakes of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep—in abundance, —for there was joy Israel.
