PAUL, a servant of God, and a legate of Jesus the Messiah; according to the faith of the elect of God, and the knowledge of the truth which is in the fear of God,
2 Acun hin anglät xünnak, äpeinak am tüneiki ni. Akcün am a tünei ham üng käh hleikia Pamhnam naw ahina xünnak khyütam jah pe lü, (aiōnios )
concerning the hope of eternal life, which the veracious God promised before the times of the world; (aiōnios )
3 akcün apha law üng ania mawng cun jah mdanki. Ahin cun kei üng na ap lü jah küikyanki Pamhnam naw na sangsaki.
and in due time he hath manifested his word, by means of our announcement, which was confided to me by the command of God our Life-giver;
4 Atänga mi tak jumnak am ka ca kcang Tihtuha vei ca ka yuki ni. Pa Pamhnam ja mi küikyan Bawi Khritaw Jesuh naw bäkhäknak ja dim’yenak ning pe se.
to Titus, a real son after the common faith: Grace and peace from God our Father, and from our Lord Jesus the Messiah, our Life-giver.
5 Mlüh naküta sangcim ngvaie jah mcawnki lü hlükaw hamkie na jah bilo khaia Kareta ka ning tak hüt ni. Ka ning mcuhmthehe jah süm bä:
For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou mightest regulate the things deficient, and establish elders in every city, as I directed thee:

him who is blameless, who is the husband of one wife, and hath believing children, who are no revellers, nor ungovernable in sensuality.
7 Sangcim ngvai cun Pamhnama khut bikia kya lü mkhye kpuk vai am ve yah. Ani cun khyang hnepeiki, a mlung cähki, mpyüihmahki, sosatki ja ngui jawngnakia am thawn yah.
For an elder ought to be blameless, as the steward of God; and not be self-willed, nor irascible, nor excessive in wine, nor with hands swift to strike, nor a lover of base gains.
8 Ani cun khinnglei khina lü akdaw cun kphya na yah khai. Ani cun amät nängeiki, ngsungki, ngcimki ja sitihkia pi kya yah khai.
But he should be a lover of strangers, and a lover of good deeds, and be sober, upright, kind-hearted, and restraining himself from evil passions;
9 Ningsaw naw a ä a jum phyakia mawng cän akceta kcüng yah khai. Acun ngtek püikie khyeki ti cun mdan lü mtheimthangnak akcang am khyang kcee pi ngjuktha jah pe thei yah khai.
and studious of the doctrine of the word of faith, that he may be able by his wholesome teaching both to console, and to rebuke them that are contentious.
10 Aktunga Judah ning üngkhyüh ngthunghlai law lü ia am ngtähngkhehki ami ksingnak am khyang jah mhlei u lü jah thühlawksaki khawhah vekie.
For many are unsubmissive, and their discourses vain; and they mislead the minds of people, especially such as are of the circumcision.
11 Ami pyensak jah him vai hlü ve, isetiakyaküng, ngkeeikse ngui yahnak vai mkhüh na u lü am ami jah mthei vai jah mthei lü imkyawnge jah uplatsakie ni.
The mouth of these ought to be stopped: they corrupt many families; and they teach what they ought not, for the sake of base gains.
12 Karete üngka khyang mat amimäta sahmae naw, “Karet khyange cun hleihlakie, khyükseia kba se u lü dudam u lü eiawk kthanakie,” tia a pyen hin kcangki ni. Ahina phäh akdawa jumnak ami tak law vaia, angkhat kunga jah mcing lü
One of them, a prophet of their own, said, The Cretans are always mendacious, evil beasts, idle bellies.
And this testimony is true. Therefore chide them sharply; that they may be sound in the faith,

and may not throw themselves into Jewish fables, and into the precepts of men who hate the truth.
15 Amimät ngcimki hea phäh anaküt hin ngcim lü ami mlungkyawng ja amimät ksingeinak am ngcim lü am ami jumeia phäh avan hin am ngcim.
For to the pure, every thing is pure; but to them who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but their understanding is defiled, and their conscience.
16 Pamhnam ksingkiea pyen u lüpi ami vecawh naw kpetki. Amimi cun pyen am ngai lü jah cawkei phyakia kya lü akdaw pawh khaia am nglawi u.
And they profess that they know God, but in their works they deny him; and they are odious, and disobedient, and to every good work reprobates.
