Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Christ Jesus, for the faith of God's elect, and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness,
2 Acun hin anglät xünnak, äpeinak am tüneiki ni. Akcün am a tünei ham üng käh hleikia Pamhnam naw ahina xünnak khyütam jah pe lü, (aiōnios )
in hope of everlasting life, which God, who cannot lie, promised from the most ancient times, (aiōnios )
3 akcün apha law üng ania mawng cun jah mdanki. Ahin cun kei üng na ap lü jah küikyanki Pamhnam naw na sangsaki.
but in his own seasons manifested his word through the preaching with which I was intrusted by the commandment of God our Saviour:

but hospitable, a lover of what is good, discreet, just, holy, temperate,

holding fast the sure word according to what he was taught, that he may be able by sound teaching both to exhort, and to refute the gainsayers.
10 Aktunga Judah ning üngkhyüh ngthunghlai law lü ia am ngtähngkhehki ami ksingnak am khyang jah mhlei u lü jah thühlawksaki khawhah vekie.
For there are many unruly vain talkers and deceivers, especially they of the circumcision;

whose mouths must be stopped, since they overturn whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of base gain.
12 Karete üngka khyang mat amimäta sahmae naw, “Karet khyange cun hleihlakie, khyükseia kba se u lü dudam u lü eiawk kthanakie,” tia a pyen hin kcangki ni. Ahina phäh akdawa jumnak ami tak law vaia, angkhat kunga jah mcing lü

This testimony is true; for which cause rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith,

not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men who turn away from the truth.
15 Amimät ngcimki hea phäh anaküt hin ngcim lü ami mlungkyawng ja amimät ksingeinak am ngcim lü am ami jumeia phäh avan hin am ngcim.
To the pure all things are pure; but to the defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure, but both their mind and conscience are defiled.
16 Pamhnam ksingkiea pyen u lüpi ami vecawh naw kpetki. Amimi cun pyen am ngai lü jah cawkei phyakia kya lü akdaw pawh khaia am nglawi u.
They profess that they know God, but by their works they deny him, being abominable and disobedient, and for every good work reprobate.
