Romah 13
1 Khyang naküt naw jah upki khawngmanga pyen cun ngai kawm, isetiakyaküng Pamhnam naw ana a jah peta phäha khawngmange cun vekie. Pamhnama jah mcawna kyakie ni.
Every soul to the authorities being above [him] should be subject. Not for there is authority only except (by *N(k)O*) God, those however existing (authorities *k*) by (*k*) God instituted are.
2 Acunakyase, u pi, khawngmang am kcangnaki cun Pamhnama mcawn ksekha nakia kyase; amäta khana ngthumkhyahnak yah khai.
Therefore the [one] resisting the authority the of God ordinance has resisted; those now having resisted upon themselves judgment will bring.
3 Akdaw pawhki naw jah upkie cun jah kyüh vai am ni. Lüpi akse pawhkie naw ami jah kyüh vai ni. Am na jah kyüh vai na tängki aw? Akdaw na pawh ta ning mküiei khaie;
The for rulers not are a terror (to the good *N(k)O*) (work *N(K)O*) but (to the evil. *N(k)O*) Do you desire now not to fear the authority? The good do perform and you will have praise from him;
4 isetiakyaküng amimi cun Pamhnama mpyaea kya lü nanga phäh akdaw pawh khaie ni. Cunsepi, akse na pawh üng jah kyüh a, amimia mkhuimkhanak khawha ana cun akcang ni, isetiakyaküng jah mkhuimkha khaie ni. Akse pawhkie khana Pamhnama mkhuimkhanak cun biloki Pamhnama mpyaea kyakie ni.
Of God for servant he is to you for good. If however evil you shall do, do be afraid; not for in vain the sword he bears. of God for a servant He is an avenger for wrath to the [one] evil doing.
5 Acunakyase, Pamhnama mkhuimkhanak na kyüh däka phäh am kya lü namäta ksingeinaka phäha ana takie mtheha vea.
Therefore necessary [it is] to be subject, not only on account of the wrath but also on account of the conscience.
6 Acunakyase ni, ngcawn pi na ngcawng ta; isetiakyaküng jah upkie cun naw ami mta ami bi hin Pamhnama phäh khüikie ni.
Because of this for also taxes pay you; servants for of God they are upon this very thing attending continually.
7 Na pet vai mta cun jah pe a. Namäta phäh ja na khawhthema phäh ngcawng cun pe lü jah leisawng kawmki.
do render (therefore *K*) to all their dues, to whom the tax the tax, to whom the revenue the revenue, to whom the respect the respect, to whom the honor the honor.
8 Mata veia pi käh lei mah lü mat ja mat nami mhläkphyanaka thea ta i käh lei na ua. Ahin pawhki naw ta Thum kcangnaki ni.
To no one nothing do owe only except one another to love; the [one] for loving the other [the] Law has fulfilled;
9 Thum naw, “Khyanga khyu, khyanga cei käh na bäühmanak vai; khyang käh na hnim vai; käh na mpyuk vai; khyanga ka käh na hlükawei vai” a ti. Ahin avan ja akce ngthupet naküt cun, “Namät na mhläkphyanaka kba na impei loceng na mhläkphyanak vai” tia ngthupet mat üng kümkawi päihkie.
For Not you will commit adultery, Not you will murder, Not you will steal (not will you bear false witness *K*) Not you will covet, and if any other commandment, in word this it is summed up, in the [saying] You will love the neighbour of you as (yourself. *NK(O)*)
10 Khyang kce na mhläkphyanak üng amimi khana akse am pawhki, mhläkphyanak na tak cun Thum avan na kcangnak ni.
Love to the neighbour evil not does do; [the] fulfillment therefore of [the] law love [is].
11 Nami ihnak üngkhyüh nami thüxak vai akcün pha lawkia kyase hin hin pawh ua. Isetiakyaküng küikyannak hin akcüka mi jumeia kcüna kthaka ng’et law bawki ni.
And this knowing the time, that [it is the] hour already ([for] you *N(k)O*) out of sleep to awaken; now for nearer [is] of us the salvation than when first we believed;
12 Mthan päih law hlü hnüh lü, khaw thai law hlü ve; acunakyase, nghmüp üng mi bilawhe mi jah hawih u lü, akvaia üng ngtuknaka likcime mi jah kawtei vai u.
The night is nearly over and the day has drawn near. (We may cast off *NK(o)*) therefore the works of darkness, (and *k*) we may put on (now *no*) the armor of light.
13 Mhnüpa vekie khyangea kba akdawa mi ve vai u. Eiawknak, ju mpyüinak, aksea ngneisak, ngtunngvawknak, hüipawmnak ja ng’eiknak üng käh mi ve vai u.
As in daytime properly we may walk, not in reveling and in drinking, not in sexual immorality and in sensuality, not in dissension and in jealousy;
14 Bawipa Jesuh Khritawa likcim cun kawtei u lü nami mtisaa ngjakhlüa mkhyekatnak cän käh pawh ua.
But do put on the Lord Jesus Christ and of the flesh provision not do make for desires.
