< Malam Mdannak 17 >
1 Acunüng kbe khyüh pawmkia khankhawngsä khyüh he üngka mat naw, “Lawa, mliktui khawjah peia saka mlühnu, acun cun lawngthangki nghnumi ksenu mkhuimkha vaia mawng cun ning mhmuh vang;
Then one of the seven angels who held the seven bowls came and spoke to me. “Come here,” he said, “and I will show you the sentence passed on that Great Harlot who is seated at the meeting of many waters,
2 Khawmdek sangpuxang he ani am hüipawm u lü katnak pawhki he. Khawmdek khyang he naw ania hüipawmnaka capyitui aw ngenki he,” a ti.
and with whom all the kings of the earth have had licentious intercourse; while all who live on the earth have been make drunk by the wine of her licentiousness.”
And he bore me away in a trance to a lonely place, and I saw a woman seated on a scarlet Beast, which was covered with blasphemous names; it had seven heads and ten horns.
4 Acuna nghnuminu cun suisak asenduknu la asenlenu suisaki. Xüi awihnam he, lung phukküi he la vatha he cun jah awihnaki. A kut üng a hüipawmnaka phäh ngcawm lawki mtüihkhehnak la bawhbahnak am bekia xüi khawt kpawmki.
The woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and glittering with gold ornaments, precious stones, and pearls. In her hand she held a gold cup, full of idolatrous abominations, and the unclean fruits of her licentiousness;
5 A mceyü üng ngthu ngthup, “Babalung Mlüh kyäp, khawmdek khana am dawkyaki nghnumi he la mtüihkhehki naküta nu,” tia ng’yuki.
while on her forehead there was written this mystic name – “BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF ALL IDOLATROUS ABOMINATIONS ON EARTH.”
6 Acuna nghnuminu cun Pamhnama khyang hea thisen la Jesuh üng ami sitiha phäha ami jah hnimea thisen aw lü m'yüi se ka hmuh. Ani ka hmuh la aktäa ka cäiki.
And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of Christ’s people and with the blood of the martyrs for Jesus. When I saw her, I was amazed beyond measure;
7 Khankhawngsä naw ka veia, “Ise na cäiki ni? Ngthupki nghnuminua mawngma la lu khyüh awm lü a ki xa ta lü nghnuminu phüikia Sakyunga mawngma ning mtheh vang.
but the angel said to me – “Why were you amazed? I will tell you the mystic meaning of the vision of this woman, and of the Beast, with the seven heads and ten horns, that carries her.
8 Sakyung na hmuh cen a na xüng khawiki ni. Acunsepi atuh am xüng ti. Adütnak am awmkia khui kthuknu üngka naw kai law be hnühki, cunüngpi akäna cimkpyeha kyase khyük be khai. Khawmdeka am a ngtüi ham üng ami ngming xünnak cauk üng am yuka khawmdek khyang he naw acuna sakyung hmu u lü cäi law khai he. Acun cun xüng khawiki; atuh am xüng ti. Acunsepi ngdang law be khai. (Abyssos )
The Beast that you saw was, but is not, and is about to rise out of the bottomless pit, and is on its way to destruction. Those who are living on earth will be amazed – those whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world – when they see that the Beast was, but is not, and yet will come.” (Abyssos )
9 Hin cun ksingnak la pumngyam hlüki. Lu khyüh cun nghnuminua ngawhnaka khawmcung khyüha kyaki he. Sangpuxang khyüha pi kyaki he,
(Here there is need for the discerning mind.) The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is seated.
10 acun üngka mhma khyük päng u se mat naw uk hamki. Akce mat am law ham. A law be üng asängca däng uk khai.
They are also seven kings; of whom five have fallen and one remains, while one is not yet come. When he comes, he must stay for a little while.
11 Acunüng Sakyung ajana xüng khawi lü atuh am xüng tiki cun akhyetnaka sangpuxanga pi kya lü, khyüh üngka mata pi kyaki. Ani pi khyük be khai.
So must the Beast that was, but is not. He counts as an eighth king, although he is one of the seven, and is on his way to destruction.
12 Na jah hmuha ki xa he cen uknak am ta hamkia sangpuxang he xa kyaki he. Acunsepi Sangpuxang hea kba sakkyung am atänga naji mat ami uknak vai jah peta kya khai.
The ten horns that you saw are ten kings, who have not yet received their kingdoms, but for an hour they receive the authority of kings, together with the Beast.
13 Acuna xa naw mlung tängnak taki he. Ami johit la ami ana cun Sakyung üng pe law khai he.
These kings are of one mind in surrendering their power and authority to the Beast.
14 Acun he naw Toca tu law khai he. Acunsepi Toca naw a khüa khyang he, a xüa khyang he la sitihkia a hnu läkie am atänga tu u lü näng khai he. Toca cun bawi hea Bawi, sangpuxang hea Sangpuxanga akya phäha kyaki,” a ti.
They will fight with the Lamb, but the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings; so, too, will those with him who have received the call and are chosen and faithful.
15 Acunüng khankhawngsä naw ka veia, “Am dawkyakia nghnuminua ngawhnaka tui he na jah hmuh cun khyangmjü he, khyang he, paca he la ngthu akce kce pyenki hea kyaki he.
And the angel said to me – “The waters that you saw, where the Harlot is seated, are throngs of people and men of all nations and languages.
16 Atuh na jah hmuha ki he xa la Sakyung naw nghnumi ksenu cun hneng ni lü a khawhthem kpyeh law pe khai xawi. A suisak sut ni lü, a sa ei ni lü, mei am mkhih khai xawi.
The ten horns that you saw, and the Beast – they will hate the Harlot, and cause her to become deserted and strip her bare; they will eat her flesh and utterly consume her with fire.
17 Pamhnam naw ani mlung kyawnga a jah tak peta, Pamhnama ngthu am a küm law hama küt üng mlung tängnak am ani johit la ani ana cun Sakyung üng ani petnak vaiaa phäha kyaki.
For God has put it into their minds to carry out his purpose, in carrying out their common purpose and surrendering their kingdoms to the Beast, until God’s decrees will be executed.
18 Nghnuminu na hmuh cen khawmdek sangpuxang he jah ukia mlüh kyäpnu kyaki,” tia a pyen.
As for the woman whom you saw, she is the great city that holds sway over all the kings of the earth.”
