< Malam Mdannak 12 >
1 Acunüng kyühkhyai phyaki khankhawa ngdang law se ka hmuh. Nghnumi khawnghngi suisaki, a khaw keha khya awmki, aisi xaleinghngih bawilukhum a lu khana ngbüngki awm lawki.
A great sign was seen in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and with the moon under her feet, and a crown of twelve stars was on her head.
2 Acun cun m’yai lü na hmi law hlüki. Na hmi hlü naw mhlei se ngko lü kyapki.
She was pregnant, and she was crying out in birth pains, in the anguish of childbirth.
3 Kyühkhyawk phyaki akce khana ngdang law se ka hmuh. Mnaka sen angbaünu khyüh lu na lü xa ki naki, bawilukhum khyüh ngbungki ngdang lawki.
Then another sign was seen in heaven: Look! There was a huge red dragon that had seven heads and ten horns, and there were seven crowns on his heads.
4 A ngmei am khankhawa ka aisi hmün kthum üng hmün mat kaih lü khawmdeka khana a tawn. Na hmi law se na mjaw khaia ca law hlükia nghnuminu ngäng lü a maa ngdüiki.
His tail swept away a third of the stars in heaven and hurled them down to the earth. The dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth, he would devour her child.
5 Acunüng nghnuminu cun khyangmjü he naküt mthicung am jah uk khaia kpamica mata ca lawki. Acunsepi a capa cun angxita yutei u lü Pamhnam la a bawingawhnaka cehpüia kyaki.
She gave birth to a son, a male child, who would rule all the nations with an iron rod. Her child was snatched away to God and to his throne,
6 Nghnuminu cun Pamhnam naw a pyang peta khaw khyawngkhawa mhmüp 1,260 ami mcahnak vaia cenki.
and the woman fled into the wilderness, where God had prepared a place for her, so she could be taken care of for 1,260 days.
7 Acunüng khankhawa ngtuknak awm lawki. Mihkhelah la a ngsä he naw mnaka ami tuk. Mnaka la a ngsä he naw pi ami tuk be.
Now there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought back.
8 Acunsepi mnaka sung se a ngsä he mah mah am khankhawa asängca pi awm u lü am yah ti u.
But the dragon was not strong enough to win. So there was no longer any place in heaven for him and his angels.
9 Mnaka ngbaünu, Khawyai ngming na lü Khawyam pi ngming nakia kphyu xünu, khawmdek avan mhleimhlaki cun khawmdek khana ami juk khyak law; a ngsä he pi ami jah khyak law.
The great dragon—that old serpent called the devil or Satan, who deceives the whole world—was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
10 Acunüng khankhawa angsang yea, “Atuh pamhnama küikyanak pha law ve! Pamhnam naw a johit Sangpuxanga kba mdan päng ve! A Mesijah naw a khyaihbahnak mdan päng ve! Mi Pamhnama maa ngdüi lü jumeiki he amhmüp amthan jah mkateiki cun khankhaw üngka naw ami khyak law päng ni.
Then I heard a loud voice in heaven: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, the one who accused them before our God day and night.
11 Toca a thisen la ami sanga ngthungtak am ani cun mi bena he naw näng ve u. Ami xünnak pe u lü ami thih vai pi am cäi na u.
They conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they did not love their lives even to death.
12 Acunakyase khankhaw he la a khana awmki he aw jekyai ua! Acunsepi ihlawka khawmdek la mliktuia phäh kyühkseki ni! Khawyai naw a kcün aktawica däng taki ti ksing lü mlungsetnak am nami veia kyum law päng ve,” ami ti ka ngjak.
Therefore rejoice you heavens, and all who reside in them! But woe to the earth and to the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with terrible anger because he has only a little time!
13 Mnaka naw khawmdek üng khyak law pänga kyaki ti ksing law lü kpamica canakia nghnuminu cun a mkhuimkha vaia a ktäm law.
When the dragon realized he had been thrown down to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child.
14 Khawkhyawng khaw a awmnak vaia jawng thei khaia nghnuminu üng nghmunu angbaünua ngphya nghngih ami pet. Acuia mnaka naw am tu thei se kum kthum la amte mcah khai he.
But the woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she would flee to the place prepared for her in the wilderness. This was the place where she would be taken care of, for a time, times, and half a time—out of the serpent's presence.
15 Acunüng mnaka naw nghnuminu athuknaka ceh khaia tuilawngnu, a mka üngka naw a mhluh law.
The serpent poured water out of his mouth like a river, that he would make a flood to sweep her away.
16 Acunsepi khawmdek naw nghnuminu cun yungki. Mnaka naw a mka üngka a mhluh lawa tui cun khawmdek naw a mka hala lü a mjaw.
But the earth helped the woman. The earth opened its mouth and swallowed the river that the dragon was pouring out of his mouth.
17 Acunüng mnaka naw nghnuminu cun thüisei law na lü kpawihkia nghnuminua mjükphyüi, Pamhnama ngthupet läk u lü Jesuha mdan ngthungtak läklamki he la sitihkie jah ngtukpüi khaia ktawihki.
Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war with the rest of her descendants, those who obey God's commandments and hold to the testimony about Jesus.
