< Hebru 4 >

1 Tuha Pamhnam naw a pyena hüieinaka mawng khyütam cun mimi üng jah peki ni. Acuna hüieinak khyütam cun nami yahei vaia nami vecawh cun am nami mceiei ta am lut yah uki.
Let us fear therefore, lest perhaps anyone of you should seem to have come short of a promise of entering into his rest.
2 Ami naw ami ngjaka kba Thangkdaw cun mimi naw pi mi ngja pängkie ni. Acuna mawng cun ngjakie, lüpi acun naw am jah dawsak, isetiakyaküng, ami ngjak üng jumnak am, am ami dokhama phäha kyaki.
For indeed we have had good news preached to us, even as they also did, but the word they heard did not profit them, because they were not united by faith with those who heard.
3 Pamhnam naw a jah peta hüieinak khyütam cun mimi jumkie naw ta mi dokhamei vai u. Ani naw, “Ka mlungso lü khyütam a sayüa ka pawh ta: ‘Ami ngdümnak vaia ka jah peta hnün cun itüha pi am lutvang yah u” tia a pyen. Ahin pyen kyaw lüpi khawmdek a mhnünmceng üngkhyüh a khut cun ngpängki ni.
For we who have believed do enter into that rest, even as he has said, "As I swore in my wrath, they will not enter into my rest;" although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4 Cangcim naw amhnüp khyühnak mawng ta: “Amhnüp khyühnak üng Pamhnam cun a khüinak üngkhyüh ngxüki,” tia pyenki.
For he has said this somewhere about the seventh day, "And God rested on the seventh day from all his works;"
5 Ahin kung a pyen be tü ta: “Ami hüieinak vai ka jah peta hnün cun itüha pi am lutvang yah u.”
and in this place again, "They will not enter into my rest."
6 Akcüka Thangkdaw ngjakie naw am ami jumeia phäh acuna hüieinak am yahei u. Acuna kyase, acuna hnün cun yaheiki ve khaie ni.
Since therefore it remains for some to enter it, and they to whom the good news was before preached failed to enter in because of disobedience,
7 “Tuhngawi” ti lü suia khawmhnüp akce cun phyäi lü jah mdanki. Ahlana khawkume üng Davit naw Cangcim üng, “Tuhngawi Pamhnama kthai nami ngjak üng, nami mlung käh ngcangsak u,” ti lü a pyen cän mi pyen pängki.
he again appoints a certain day, "Today," saying through David so long a time afterward (just as has been said), "Today if you will hear his voice, do not harden your hearts."
8 Pamhnam naw khyü a jah tama hüieinak cun Josuh naw a jah peta kyak üng, Pamhnam naw akcea Mhnüp am a pyen vai sü.
For if Joshua had given them rest, he would not have spoken afterward of another day.
9 Lüpi, a mhnüp khyühnak üng Pamhnam a hüieia kba Pamhnama khyangea phäh hüieinak vai ve hamki.
There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God.
10 Pamhnam naw khyü a jah tam pet yaheikia khyange cun Pamhnam, a khut üngkhyüh a ngdüma kba ami pi ami khut üngkhyüh hüiei khaie ni.
For he who has entered into his rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.
11 Hüieinak mi yah vaia mi kthanak üngva jumeinak käh vekiea mäiha mimi üng u pi käh mi ve vai u.
Let us therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.
12 Pamhnama ngthu cun xüngsei lü johitmahkia kyase hnu ma kxata kthaka kxatki kcima kba ni. Ani naw mi nümyan, mi mlungkyawng jah mi Ngmüimkhya, yuh ngmik ja khing cäpa jah sun atki ni. Ani naw mi mlungkyawnga hlüei ja cungaih pi ngthu jah mkhyah peki ni.
For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
13 Pamhnam üngkhyüh ngthup khawhki i pi am ve, mhnünmceng naküte hin ania hmai maa podang lü jah mhjaiha mäi ni a law ta. Ania maa a naküt mi phyehphyan be yah khaie.
There is no creature that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
14 Mi pyena jumnak cun angkhänga mi kcüngei vai u. Pamhnama Cakpa Jesuh khankhawa cit be pängki Ktaiyü Ngvai Säih mi taki.
Having then a great high priest, who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold tightly to our confession.
15 Mi Ktaiyü Ngvai Säih naw mi ktha ngceknak am jah ksing pekia am kya. Mi Ktaiyü Ngvai Säih cun mimia kba ksükphyawnak khamei lüpi mkhyekatnak am pawh.
For we do not have a high priest who cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin.
16 A bäkhäknaka venak Pamhnama Bawi ngawhnak cun mkhühüpnak am mi cähceng vai u. Acun üngva, a mpyeneinak yahei lü a bäkhäknak cun mi hlükawa kcün üng jah kuei khaia mi hmu khai.
Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need.
