1 Ahlana Pamhnam naw sahmae üngkhyüh tuilam khawhah üng mi pupae khawvei jah ngthumin püiki,
God, who, of old, at many times and in many ways, spoke to our ancestors, by the prophets,
2 lüpi ahina akpaihnak mhnüpe üngta a Cakpa üngkhyüh jah ngthungmin püiki. Ani üngkhyüh khawliva mhnün lü akpaihnaka anaküt kanak khaia Pamhnam naw a xü päng ni. (aiōn )
has in these latter days spoken to us by the Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. (aiōn )
3 Ani naw Pamhnama hlüngtainak akvai ja Pamhnama kya lü ani am akcang atängnak cun mdan lü johitmahki a ngthukhyü am khawliva pi a taih ni. Nghngicim avana mkhye a jah mhlätei käna khankhawa Johitmah Säihki Pamhnama khet da ngawki ni.
For he is the radiance of the glory of God and the expression of his being, upholding all creation by the power of his word; and, when he had made an expiation for the sins of humanity, he took his seat at the right hand of God’s Majesty on high,
4 Cakpa cun khankhawngsä he kthaka dämduhkia thawn lü Pamhnam naw ngming a pet pi amimi kthaka dämduhki ni.
having shown himself as much greater than the angels as the name that he has inherited surpasses theirs.
5 Pamhnam naw khankhawngsä he üng, “Nang cun ka ning Ca, tuhngawi na Paa ka kyaki,” tia am pyen. Pamhnam naw khankhawngsäa mawng pi, “Kei cun ania Pa vai, ani cun ka Ca vai,” am ti.
For to which of the angels did God ever say – “You are my Son; this day I have become your Father”? or again – “I will be to him a Father, and he will be to me a Son”?
6 Lüpi Pamhnam naw a Ca kcük khawmdeka a tüih law hlü üng, “Pamhnama khankhawngsä he avan naw ani cun hjawkhah yah khaie,” a ti.
And again, when God brought the firstborn into the world, he said – “Let all the angels of God bow down before him.”
7 Pamhnam naw khankhawngsä hea mawng ta, “Pamhnam naw a khankhawngsä he cun khawkhi jah pyan lü a mpyae mei kdäia kba a jah thawnsak,” a ti.
Speaking of the angels, he said – “He makes the winds his angels and the flames of fire his servants”;
8 Lüpi, Pamhnam naw a Cakpaa mawng ta: “Pamhnam aw, na pe anglät se ngkhäng khai ni! Na khyange na jah up hin tala khai. (aiōn )
while of the Son he said – “God is your throne for ever and ever; the sceptre of his kingdom is the sceptre of Justice; (aiōn )
9 Akcang kphyanaki lü akhye na cawkei khai. Acun hin Pamhnam, na Pamhnam naw ning xü lü na püipawe a jah peta kthaka dämduh lü leisawng vaia jenak cun nang üng a ning pet ni.”
You love righteousness and hates iniquity; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the festal oil more abundantly than your peers.”
10 Ani naw, “Nang, Bawipa, akcük säiha khawmdek mhnün lü namäta kute am khankhawe na jah pyangki.
Again – “You, Lord, in the beginning did lay the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.
11 Amimi khyük u lü nang na mä khai; amimi cun suisakea kba phyüm khaie.
They will perish, but you remain; as a garment they will all grow old;
12 Nang naw jiha kba jah khep lü suisakea kba nghlai khaie. Lüpi nang ta ngläta mä lü, na sak pi a päihnak am ve,” a ti.
As a mantle you will fold them up, and as a garment they will be changed, but you are the same, and your years will know no end.”
13 Pamhnam naw a khankhawngsä he mat üngpi: Na yee na khaw mtaihnak vaia ka jah tak vei cäpa, Ka khet da hia ngawa” ti lü am pyen khawi.
To which of the angels has God ever said – “Sit you at my right hand until I put your enemies as a stool for your feet”?
14 Acukba ta khankhawngsä he ta ie ni? Amimi cun ngmüimkhyaa kya u lü Pamhnam khüih u lü küikyannak yah law khaie phäh jah bükteng khaia a jah tüih ni.
Are not all the angels spirits in the service of God, sent out to minister for the sake of those who are destined to obtain salvation?
