1 Sawluh naw Stephen ami hnim vai jah tängpüiki. Acuna mhnüp üng Jerusalem mlüha veki sangcim cun aktäa mkhuimkhanak kham lawki he; acunakyase, Ngsäe däk ve hüt u se, jumeikie naküt cun Judah ja Samarih hnea ngpyeng hükie.
Saul now was there consenting to the killing of him. Arose then on that [very] day a persecution great against the church which [was] in Jerusalem; All (then *N(k)O*) were scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria except the apostles.
2 Acunüng, Pamhnam jumkie naw, Stephen cun k’ut u lü, aktäa ami kya.
Buried now Stephen men devout and (they made *N(k)O*) lamentation great over him.
3 Acunüng, Sawluh naw sangcime aktäa a jah khuimkha, im naküt üng lut hü lü jumeikia nghnumi kpamie jah man lü jah kaih hü lü, thawngim üng a jah khyum.
Saul however was destroying the church by houses entering, dragging off then men and women he was delivering [them] to prison.
4 Acunüng, pyeng hükia jumkie naw hne naküt üng cit u lü ngthu pyen hükie.
Those indeed therefore having been scattered they went about evangelising the word.
5 Philip cun Samarih hnea mlüh ktunga ju citki naw, Mesijaha mawng khyange veia a ju pyen.
Philip now having gone down to (the *no*) city of Samaria was proclaiming to them the Christ.
6 Khyange naw, ngja u lü Philip naw a mdana müncam phyaki he ami jah hmu üng, a ngthu pyen cun aktäa ami ngaih.
Were giving heed (now *N(k)O*) the crowds to the [things] being spoken by Philip with one accord in the [time] to hear them and to see the signs that he was performing;
7 Isetiakyaküng, khawksea jah venake ami k'um üngka naw khawyaie ngpyang u lü lut lawki he. A khaw kceke ja xokie pi ami daw law bea phäha kyaki.
(many *N(k)O*) for of those having spirits unclean crying voice in a loud (were coming out, *N(k)O*) many now paralyzed and lame were healed;
8 Acuna mlüh üngkae cun aktäa jekyaikie.
(and *k*) There was (then *no*) (much *N(k)O*) joy in the city that.
9 Sihmon ngming nakia khyang mat veki; ani naw, ajana acuna mlüh üng, sui pawh lü Samarih khyange jah cäicatsak khawikia kyaki. “Kei cun khyang sawxat am ni” a ti.
A man now certain named Simon was formerly in the city practicing sorcery and amazing the people of Samaria declaring to be someone himself great;
10 Mlüha veki naküt khyang akdik akdäm naküt naw “Ani hin ‘Hlüngtaikia Johit’ tia ngthangkia Pamhnama Johit ni” ti lü a ngthu pyen cun mcek lü ngaikie.
to whom were giving heed all from small until great saying; This [one] is the power of God which (is called *NO*) Great.
11 A sui bilaw am, aksoa cäicat kphyaki he a ja bilawh khawha phäha, a ngthu cun aktäa ami münnak.
They were giving heed now to him because the long time with the magic arts to have amazed them;
12 Acunsepi, Pamhnama pe thangkdaw ja Jesuh Khritawa ngming thangkdaw Philipa pyen ami jum ja, nghnumi kpami Baptican khan lawki he.
When however they believed Philip evangelising (*k*) concerning the kingdom of God and the name (*k*) of Jesus Christ, they were baptized men both and women.
13 Sihmon naw pi jum law hnga lü Baptican a kham law päng ja Philipa hlawnga ve lü, müncamkse ja müncamnak a jah pawh cun hmu lü cäiki.
And Simon also himself believed, and having been baptized he was steadfastly continuing with Philip, Beholding then [the] signs and miracles great being performed he was amazed.
14 Acunüng, Jerusalema vekia Ngsäe naw Samarih hnea khyange naw pi Pamhnama ngthu jumkie tia ami ksing law üng, ami veia Pita ja Johan ami jah tüih;
Having heard now the in Jerusalem apostles that has received Samaria the word of God, they sent to them (*k*) Peter and John;
15 acu xawi ani ju pha üng, Ngmüimkhya Ngcim ami yahnak vaia ami jah ktaiyü pet.
who having come down they prayed for them that they may receive [the] Spirit Holy.
16 Am acun ham üng ta ua khana Ngmüimkhya Ngcim am pha law; Bawi Jesuha ngming am Baptican däk va khan hamkiea kyaki.
(Not yet *N(k)O*) for He was upon none of them having fallen, only however baptized they were being into the name of the (Lord *NK(O)*) Jesus.
17 Angsä xawi naw ami khana ani kut taih ni se, Ngmüimkhya Ngcim yaheikie.
Then they were laying the hands upon them and they were receiving [the] Spirit Holy.
18 Acunüng, Ngsäea kut taiha phäha Ngmüimkhya Ngcim pha lawki ti cun Sihmon naw a hmuh. Acunüng ngui cun Pita ja Johana veia lawpüiki naw,
(having seen *N(k)O*) now of Simon that through the laying on of the hands of the apostles was given the Spirit (holy *KO*) he offered to them money
19 “Kei pi, khyange khana ka kut taih ngüse, Ngmüimkhya Ngcim ami yahnak thei vaia johit na pe nia” ti lü a jah kthäh.
saying; do give also to me also to me authority this, that on whom (when *N(k)O*) I shall lay the hands he may receive [the] Spirit Holy.
20 Pamhnama bäkhäknak cun a ngui am khyäi khaia a büa phäha, Pita naw, “Na xünak ja na ngui mulaia cit ni se,
Peter however said to him; The silver of you with you would [that] it be to destruction, because the gift of God you thought through money to be obtained!
21 na mlung Pamhnama hmaia käh ngsungpyunkia kyase, hin üng käh na ngpüi hngaki, na ham pi am ve;
No there is to you part nor lot in matter this; the for heart of you not is right (before *N(k)O*) God.
22 acunakyase, na mkhyekatnak ngjut lü Bawipa veia ktaiyüa, acunüng, na mlung üng na ngaihnak ni mhlät khai ni.
do repent therefore of the wickedness of yours this and do pray earnestly to the (Lord, *N(K)O*) if indeed will be forgiven you the intent of the heart of you.
23 “Nang cun püi ng’eihnak am bebang lü mkhyekatnaka thawng kyuma na kyaki ti ksing veng” a ti.
in for [the] gall of bitterness and [the] bond of iniquity I see you being.
24 Acunüng, Sihmon naw, nani pyen ka khana am a pha lawnak vaia, nangni naw Bawipa veia na ktaiyü pe nia” ti lü Pita ja Johan a jah mtheh.
Answering now Simon said; do pray earnestly you yourselves on behalf of me to the Lord, so that nothing may come upon me myself of which you have spoken.
25 Acunüng, ani xawi naw saksi ja Bawipa ngthu ami ksingsak käna, Jerusalem mlüha citbeki xawi. Ani ceh sawa Samarih ngnam khawhah üng Thangkdaw sangki xawi.
They indeed therefore having earnestly testified and having spoken the word of the Lord (were travelling back *N(k)O*) to Jerusalem, to many then villages of the Samaritans (they were evangelising. *N(k)O*)
26 Bawipaa khankhawngsä mat naw Philipa veia, “Tho law lü Jerusalem üngkhyüh Kaza khawa cehnaka lam üng cita” a ti (Acuna lam cun tuh ta am sumei ti u.)
An angel now of [the] Lord spoke to Philip saying; do rise up and do go toward [the] south to the road which is going down from Jerusalem to Gaza; This is [the] desert [road].
27 Acunüng, tho law lü citki. Acua Ethiopia khawa Candace, Ethiopia upki nghnumia khawthem naküt msümcei lü nghnumi awmki cun Jerusalem khawa Pamhnam va hjawkhah khaia citki;
And having risen up he went; And behold a man an Ethiopian a eunuch a potentate of Candace (the *k*) queen of Ethiopians, who was over all the treasure of her, who had come to then worship to Jerusalem,
28 a nglat law be lama, a senghlea khana ngaw lü sahma Hesajah cauk üngka kheki.
he was (then *NK(o)*) returning and sitting in the chariot of him and he was reading the prophet Isaiah.
29 Acunüng, Ngmüimkhya naw Philipa veia, “Cana senghle veia cit lü a hlawnga va vea” a ti.
Said then the Spirit to Philip; do go near and do be joined to the chariot this [one].
30 Acunüng, Philip cun acuna ngvaia veia va cit lü sahma Hesajaha cauk khe se ngjaki naw, “Na khea asuilam na ksingki aw?” a ti.
Having run up then Philip heard when he is reading Isaiah the prophet and said; Surely not also understand you what you are reading?
31 Ani naw, “U naw am a na mtheh cun ihawkba ka ksing thei khai ni?” a ti. Acunüng, a veia ngaw hnga khaia Philip cun a khü.
And he said; How for maybe would I be able only unless someone (will guide *N(k)O*) me? He invited then Philip having come up to sit with him.
32 Acunüng, Cangcim a khe cun: “Hnim vaia toa mäiha ani cun ami cehpüi; To a mu ami kteih üng käh khihkheh lü a vea mäiha, ani pi käh khihkheh lü veki;
Now the passage of the Scripture which he was reading was this: As a sheep to slaughter He was led, and as a lamb before the [one who] (shearing *N(k)O*) him [is] silent, so not He opens the mouth of Him.
33 Ani cun hnemnak a khamei üng, am cangkia lei ami mtai pet; u naw pi a mjükphyüi mawng am pyen khawh u, isetiakyaküng khawmdeka ania sak cun päihki” kyaki.
In the humiliation of Him justice from Him was taken away, The (now *k*) generation of Him who will describe? For is removed from the earth the life of Him.
34 Acunüng, ngvai naw Philipa veia, “Sahma naw hin hin ua mawng ni a pyen? Amäta mawng mä, khyang kcea mawng mä? Ni kthäh veng na mtheha” a ti.
Answering now the eunuch to Philip said; I pray you, concerning whom the prophet says this? Concerning himself, or concerning other some?
35 Philip naw, thangkdaw cun ahina Cangcim üngkhyüh tünei lü Jesuha mawng cun a mtheh.
Having opened then Philip the mouth of him and having begun from Scripture this he evangelised to him [about] Jesus.
36 Acunüng, lam ani ceh k'um üng, tuia venak pha ni se; ngvai naw, “Tenga, hin üng tui ve ve, Baptican kham vaia i naw na kyawhki ni?” ti se,
As then they were going along the road, they came upon some water and says the eunuch; Behold water; what prevents me to be baptized?
37 Philip naw, “Na mlungmthin avan am na jumei üng na kham theiki” ti se; ngvai naw, “Jesuh Khritaw, Pamhnama Cakpaa kyaki ti ka jumki” ti lü a msang.
(said now Philip: if believe you from all the heart it is lawful. answering now said: I believe the son of God to be Jesus Christ. *K*)
38 Acunüng, angvai naw senghle ngdüihsak lü, Philipa dä ngvai cun tui da citki xawi. Acun üng Philip naw Baptican a khamsak.
And he commanded to stop the chariot, And they went down both to the water, both Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him.
39 Acunüng, tui üngka naw ani thaw law be ja, Bawipaa Ngmüimkhya naw Philip cun cehpüi. Angvai naw Philip am hmu ti kyaw lüpi jekyainak am amäta lama citbeki.
When now they came up out of the water, [the] Spirit of [the] Lord carried away Philip, and not saw him no longer no longer the eunuch; he was going for the way of him rejoicing.
40 Acunsepi, Philip cun Azuk mlüha ngdang law be lü; a ceh sawa acuna mlüh üngkhyüh Ketarih am a pha hama küt üng, mlüh naküt üng thangkdaw sang hüki.
Philip however was found at Azotus, and passing through he was evangelising to the towns all until coming of him to Caesarea.
