< 2 Korintuh 10 >
1 Kei Pawluh nami ksunga mlung hnemnak am awm lü, athuknaka ka ve üng linglai khawiki naw, Khritawa hniphnawinak la dawnak am ning jah nghui na veng.
But as for me Paul, I entreat you by the gentleness and self-forgetfulness of Christ--I who when among you have not an imposing personal presence, but when absent am fearlessly outspoken in dealing with you.
2 Pumsa lama keimi, kami ngdüithokia jah ngaiki hea veia ka linga kba, nami veia ka pha law üng ka linglai khaia ä nami na lingnak vaia ning jah nghui na veng.
I beseech you not to compel me when present to make a bold display of the confidence with which I reckon I shall show my 'courage' against some who reckon that we are guided by worldly principles.
3 Khawmdek üng mi awmki, acunsepi khawmdeka thum üng am mi ngtu naw.
For, though we are still living in the world, it is no worldly warfare that we are waging.
4 Keimia ngtuknaka likcim he cun khawmdek likcim hea am kya lü Pamhnama johita likcim he ni. Acun cun mlüh ngvawng he jah kpyehnak vaia kami summangki.
The weapons with which we fight are not human weapons, but are mighty for God in overthrowing strong fortresses.
5 Am cangkia ngcuhnak he la Pamhnam ksingkhyapnak sungkhamkia awhcahnak he cun jah kpyeh u lü, ami cungaihnak jah pinpawk u lü Khritawa ngthu kami jah läklam saki.
For we overthrow arrogant 'reckonings,' and every stronghold that towers high in defiance of the knowledge of God, and we carry off every thought as if into slavery--into subjection to Christ;
6 Ngthu nami ngaihnak a kümkawi käna, ngthu ä ngaihnak naküt kami mkhuimkha khaia kami ngcüngcei pängki.
while we hold ourselves in readiness to punish every act of disobedience, as soon as ever you as a Church have fully shown your obedience.
7 Ipi akpung lam nami tengki. Nangmi üngka uyaw Khritawa ka kyakia a ngaihkyu üng, ngaikyu be kawm. Amimi Khritawa ka ami kyaa kba, Keimi pi Khritawa ka kami kya hngaki.
Is it outward appearances you look to? If any man is confident as regards himself that he specially belongs to Christ, let him consider again and reflect that just as he belongs to Christ, so also do we.
8 Ka ana (nangmi ning jah kpyehnak vaia am kya lü nangmi ning jah pyanthamnak kdaw vaia, Bawipa naw ana pet cen) aktäa ka awhcahnak üng pi ka hmai am se khai.
If, however, I were to boast more loudly of our Apostolic authority, which the Lord has given us that we may build you up, not pull you down, I should have no reason to feel ashamed.
9 Ca ka yuk law am ka ning jah mkyühkia am kya.
Let it not seem as if I wanted to frighten you by my letters.
10 Uyaw naw, “Pawluha cayuk he yüh u lü kyanki he, amät mi hlawnga a awm üng a ktha am kyan lü a ngthu pyen pi amdang ni,” tiki.
For they say "His letters are authoritative and forcible, but his personal presence is unimpressive, and as for eloquence, he has none."
11 Acuna khyang he naw nami hlawnga am kami ve üng ca üng kami yuka kba, nami hlawnga kami ve üng bilawhnak am kami awmki ni ti hin ksing khai.
Let such people take this into their reckoning, that whatever we are in word by our letters when absent, the same are we also in act when present.
12 Amimät la amimät mhlünmtaieikia khyang he am atänga kami ve vai am ngaih u nawng, mtängnak vai pi am kami ngaihki. Ihlawka angki he ni! Amimät naw amimät msuimcäpnak am amimäta ngthu mkhyahki he.
For we have not the 'courage' to rank ourselves among, or compare ourselves with, certain persons distinguished by their self-commendation. Yet they are not wise, measuring themselves, as they do, by one another and comparing themselves with one another.
13 Keimi awhcahnak hin kami awhcah vaia kthaka am awhcah u nawng; Mhnam naw a jah tak peta khuta k’uma um lü nami ksunga kami bilawh pi ngpüiki ni.
We, however, will not exceed due limits in our boasting, but will keep within the limits of the sphere which God has assigned to us as a limit, which reaches even to you.
14 Acuna k’uma nami umkia kyase, Khritawa thangkdaw law püi u lü nami veia kami law üng acuna thea am bilo u nawng.
For there is no undue stretch of authority on our part, as though it did not extend to you. We pressed on even to Corinth, and were the first to proclaim to you the Good News of the Christ.
15 Acunakyase, Pamhnam naw pawh vaia a jah tak peta thea khyang kcea khutbia kthaka am awhcah ve ung. Nami jumnak däm law se, nami ksunga khutbi akdäm bawk kami pawh law khaia kami ngak’uhki.
We do not exceed our due limits, and take credit for other men's labours; but we entertain the hope that, as your faith grows, we shall gain promotion among you--still keeping within our own sphere--promotion to a larger field of labour,
16 Acunüng thangkdaw cun nangmia khaw pi khye u lü kami sang khai. Khyang kce hea khawa bilawh pänga khutbi kami awhcahnak vai am ngaih ve ung.
and shall tell the Good News in the districts beyond you, not boasting in another man's sphere about work already done by him.
17 Cunsepi, “A awhcah vai ngaiki naw, Bawipa bilawhnak awhcah na se” tia cangcim naw pyenki.
But "whoever boasts, let his boast be in the Lord."
18 Amät mhlünmtaieiki naw ngaknak am hlawhei khawi, Bawipa naw a mhlünmtai naw ni ngaknak a hlawhei. Mimät naw mimät dawkia mi ngaiha phäha am kya.
For it is not the man that commends himself who is really approved, but he whom the Lord commends.
