1 Thesalonikah 5
1 Ka benae aw, acuna thawn law khaiea akcün ja mkaea mawng ning jah yuk law vai am hlü.
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2 Mpyukei mthana a lawa kba, Bawipaa Khawmhnüp pha law khai ti cun angsingtea nami ksingki he ni.
For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 “Dimdeih ve, kyühei kse üng lät ni” ami ti k’um üng mpyaikia nghnumi na hmi hlü naw a huiheia kba, ami khana cimpyenak cun ahunata pha law khai. Acun üngka naw u pi am lät yah u.
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 Cunüngpi, ka benae aw, acuna Mhnüp naw mpyukeia kba käh ami ning jah mcat vaia, nghmüp k’uma nami vekia am kya.
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5 Nangmi avan hin akvaia ca, kdeia naa nami kyaki. Mthana ca ja nghmüpa naa am mi kya.
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6 Acunakyase, khyang kce hea iheia kba käh ipei lü, xak lü sitih am mi na mtät vai u.
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
7 Ipeikie cun mthana ni ami ih. Juhai eiawkie naw pi mthana ni ami mpyüi.
For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
8 Kdeia caa mi kyaki mimi ta mi mceiei vai hlüki. Jumeinak ja mhläkphyanak cun mkyang bawpnaka kba mi suiawi vai u. Küikyannak mi äpei cun mthi lukhüma kba mi ngbüng vai u.
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
9 Pamhnam naw a mlunga sonak mi khamei khaia a jah xü am ni. Cunüngpi, Bawipa Jesuh Khritaw üngkhyüh küikyannak mi ka na khaia a jah xü ni.
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
10 Mi xüng üng pi kyase, mi thih üng pi kyase, a law bea kcün üng, ani am atänga mi xüng khaia mi phäha thiki.
Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
11 Atuh nami vea kba, mat naw mat mcuhmcäi lü nami kpüikpak vai.
Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
12 Kami benae aw, nami ksunga khut bi lü Khritjan xünsak üng ning jah mcuhmtheh thalamkie asükyüa nami jah leisawng vaia kami ning jah nghui naki.
And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;
13 Ami khut bi dämkia kyase, däm säihkia leisawngnak ja mhläkphyanak am nami jah vepüi vai. Mat ja mat ngkhawtsengnak am ve ua.
And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves.
14 Ka benae aw, khyang kdame üng sitih jah pe ua. Kyükyawkeikie üng ktha jah pe u lü, ktha ngcekie jah kpüi ua. Khyang naküta veia mlung nami msaü vaia ning jah nghui na veng.
Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
15 Khyang naw akse a pawh üng, akse üng käh jah msak be ua. Mat ja mat, ja khyang vana veia aläa akdaw pawh vaia mkhüh na ua.
See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
16 Aläa jekyai ua;
Rejoice evermore.
17 Akcün tä lü ktaiyü ua.
Pray without ceasing.
18 Ai a pha law üngpi jekyai ua. Khritaw Jesuh üng yümmat lü nami ve vai Pamhnam naw hlüei ve.
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
19 Ngmüimkhya Ngcima khut käh dimsak ua;
Quench not the Spirit.
20 Sahmaea ngthu pyen käh yaihyünei ua.
Despise not prophesyings.
21 Anaküt cun mhnüt ma lü, akdaw dodang ua.
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
22 Akse naküt hjawng u bä.
Abstain from all appearance of evil.
23 Dimdeihnak jah pekia Pamhnam naw anaküt ning jah ngcingcaihsak se. Bawipa Jesuh Khritaw a law be üng, nami ngmüimkhya, mlung kyawng ja pumsa avan cun mkhyekatnak naküt üng a lät vaia ning jah msümcei se.
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Nangmi ning jah khüki cun sitihkia kya lü acukba ning jah pawh khai ni.
Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
25 Ka benae aw, kami phäha pi ktaiyü ua.
Brethren, pray for us.
26 Ngcingcaihkia hnunat mhnamnak am jumeikie avan jah hnukset ua.
Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss.
27 Ahina kca hin jumeiki naküta veia nami kheh vaia Khritawa ngming üng ning jah nghui na veng.
I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren.
28 Mi Bawipa Jesuh Khritawa bäkhäknak nami khana ve se.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. The first epistle unto the Thessalonians was written from Athens.
