Likewise You wives be subject to [their] own husbands, so that even if any are disobedient to the word, through the of the wives conduct without word (they will be gained, *N(k)O*)
2 Isenitiüng, nami ngneisak hin ihlawka ngcingcaih lü leisawng phyaki ti cun ksing khaie.
having witnessed the in respect pure conduct of you;
3 Nami lusam phan lü ngui xüi jah awi hnak ja suisak kdaw nami suijih am akhawkpung ning jah ngtongtaisak khai cen käh sumei ua.
whose should be not outward of braiding of hair and putting around of gold or putting on of garments adorning,
4 Acuna nghnün üng, nami mlung k’uma käh hngalang theikia ngtongtainaka kyaki hniphnawinak ja mlung kdip üng ngtongtai ua. Pamhnama hmuha ngtongtainak akdaw säih ta acun ni.

5 Ahlana Pamhnam üng ami äpeinak ta lü Pamhnam jumeikia nghnumie naw, ami ceia mtheh ngjaknak üng amimät ngtongtaisak khawikie.

9 Akse, akse am; yünsenak pi yünsenak am käh thungei be ua. Dawkyanak am thung be ua. Isenitiüng, dawkyanak cun a ning jah khüa kcün üng a ning jah pet vaia Pamhnama bekhüta kyaki.
not repaying evil for evil or insult for insult, on the contrary however blessing (knowing *K*) because to this you were called so that blessing you may inherit.
10 Cangcim naw “Jenaka xünsak hlüei lü kcün kdawe jah hmuha yüki naw, akse pyennak ja hlei pyennak jah hawih yah khai.
The [one] for desiring life to love and to see days good he should keep the tongue (of him *k*) from evil and lips (of him *k*) not to speak deceit.
11 Akse pawhnak üngkhyüh nghlat lü akdaw pawh se; dimdeihnak sui lü acun läk hü se.
he should turn away (also *no*) from evil and he should do good, he should seek peace and he should pursue it.
12 Bawipa naw khyang ngsungpyune jah teng lü ami ktaiyünak pi jah ngai ve; cunüngpi, akse pawhkie ta jah nghei ta ve.
Because (the *k*) eyes of [the] Lord [are] on [the] righteous, and [the] ears of Him toward prayer of them, [The] face however of [the] Lord [is] against those doing evil.
13 Akcang pawh vaia na ngtäng üng u naw ning mhlembawi khai ni.
And who [is] he who will harm you, if for that which [is] good (zealous *N(K)O*) you shall be?
14 Cunüngpi, akcang na pawha phäh na khuikha vai üngpi, nami josenki. U pi käh kyüh ua, käh cäicing ua.
But if even you would suffer because of righteousness, [you are] blessed. And the threats of them not shall you be afraid of neither shall you be troubled;
15 Nami mlung k’uma Khritaw leisawng lü Bawipa mäih leisawng ua. Nangmi naw nami taka äpeinaka mawng ning jah kthähki a ve üng, nami jah mtheh ngkyai be thei vaia, aläa ngsüngcei ua.
[As] Lord however (Christ *N(K)O*) do sanctify in the hearts of you. ready (now *k*) always for a defense to everyone who is asking you an account concerning the in you hope, (yet *NO*) with gentleness and fear,
16 Hniphnawinak ja leisawngnak am bi ua. Khritawa hnukläka nami thawna phäh akdaw nami pawh üng, ning jah kse na lü ning jah yaihyüneikie naw ami pyen am ngkeeinaka thawn khaia, nami cungaihnak ngcingcaihsak ua.
a conscience having good, so that in this (you are spoken against *N(k)(o)*) (you as to evildoers *KO*) they may be ashamed those reviling your good in Christ manner of life.
17 Akdaw pawh lü nami khuikha cun Pamhnama hlüei ani üngta, akse pawh lü nami khuikha kthaka ta daw bawk ve.
[It is] better for doing good if (one would desire *N(k)O*) the will of God, to suffer than doing evil;
18 Pamhnama veia a ning jah ceh hlüpüia phäh khyangkaea nghnün üng khyang kdaw Khritaw cun mkhyenakea phäh thiki. Ahun a thih cun angläta phäha kyaki. Pumsa lama thihnak khamki, cunüngpi ngmüimkhya lam üng xünsak be pängki.
because also Christ once for sins (suffered, *NK(O)*) [the] righteous for [the] unrighteous, so that (you *N(K)O*) He may bring to God, having been put to death indeed in [the] flesh, having been made alive however (in the *k*) spirit,
