That which was from the beginning, which wee haue heard, which wee haue seene with these our eyes, which wee haue looked vpon, and these handes of ours haue handled of that Word of life,

(For that life was made manifest, and wee haue seene it, and beare witnes, and shewe vnto you that eternall life, which was with the Father, and was made manifest vnto vs) (aiōnios g166)
3 Keimi cun Pa Pamhnam ja a Capa Jesuh Khritaw am kami nglawiei pängki he. Keimi am nami nglawiei law hnga vai ua, kami hmuh ja kami ngjak naküt kami ning jah mtheh lawkie ni.
That, I say, which wee haue seene and heard, declare wee vnto you, that yee may also haue fellowship with vs, and that our fellowship also may be with the Father, and with his Sonne Iesvs Christ.
4 Kami jekyainak a kümbe vaia ahin hin kami ning jah yuk law u ni.
And these thinges write we vnto you, that that your ioy may be full.
5 A Cakpa üngkhyüh naw kami ngjaka thang kami sang hin ta: Pamhnam cun akvai ni, ani üng anghmüpnak isüm am ve.
This then is the message which wee haue heard of him, and declare vnto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkenes.
6 Pamhnam am kami nglawieiki ni ti lü, anghmüpnaka mi umei ham üng ta, mi ngthukhyü ja mi awmih üng mi hleihlak mi mdanki ni.
If wee say that wee haue fellowship with him, and walke in darkenesse, we lie, and doe not truely:
7 Ani akvai üng a xünga mäiha mimi pi akvai üng mi xüng üng ta, mat ja mat mi nglawieikie ni. A cakpa Jesuha thisen naw mi mkhyekat naküt jah mcimcaih petki ni.
But if we walke in the light as he is in the light, we haue fellowship one with another, and the blood of Iesus Christ his Sonne clenseth vs from all sinne.
8 Ka mkhyekatnak am ve mi ti üng ta mimät mi mhleikia kyaki. Ngthukcang mi k’uma am ve.
If we say that we haue no sinne, we deceiue our selues, and trueth is not in vs.
9 Cunüngpi, mi mkhyekat naküt Pamhnama veia mi ng’anei üng ta, a khyütam mä na lü akcang pawh khai. Mi mkhyenak naküt jah mhlätei lü mi pawh mkhye naküt jah mcimcaih pet khai.
If we acknowledge our sinnes, he is faithfull and iust, to forgiue vs our sinnes, and to clense vs from all vnrighteousnes.
10 Mi mkhyenak am ve mi ti üng ta, Pamhnam cun ak’hleia mi pawh lü a ngthu mi k’uma am veki ni.
If wee say we haue not sinned, wee make him a liar, and his word is not in vs.
