< 1 Korintuh 1 >
1 Pamhnama hlüeia khü Jesuh Khritawa ngsä, kei Pawluh jah ka na Soten naw,
This letter comes from Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ according to the will of God, and from Sosthenes, our brother.
2 Korintuh mlüha vekia Pamhnama sangcime, Khritaw Jesuh üng khyang ngcima kya khaie a jah khüe, hnün naküt üng mi Bawipa Jesuh Khritaw mküimtokie naküta veia;
It is sent to the church of God in Corinth, those who are being made right in Christ Jesus, called to live holy lives—and to everyone who worships the Lord Jesus Christ everywhere, the Lord both of them and of us.
3 Mi Pa, Pamhnam jah Bawipa Jesuh Khritawa veia ka bäkhäknak ja dimdeihnak nami khana ve se.
May you have grace and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
4 Khritaw Jesuh üngkhyüh Pamhnama bäkhäknak aning jah peta phäha Pamhnama veia aläa jenak ka mthehki.
I'm always thanking God for you because of the grace of God given to you in Christ Jesus.
5 Khritaw üng yümmat lü ngthu pyennak jah ksingnak üng, amät üng bawimang u lü, nami vea phäha kyaki.
Through him you have been made rich in everything, in all that you say and every aspect of what you know.
6 Acukba Khritaw a ngthu ka ning jah ksingsak nangmi üng khäng lü veki cän ni;
In fact the testimony of Christ was proved valid in your experience,
7 A dawkyanak yah lü, mi Bawipa Jesuh Khritawa a ngdannak law vai k'äihei ua.
so that you're not missing any spiritual gift as you wait for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
8 Mi Bawipa Jesuh Khritaw a Khaw mhnüp a pha law üng, apäihnak veia ning jah khängsak lü nami mkhye am ve.
He will also keep you strong to the very end, so you will be kept right until the day of the Lord Jesus Christ.
9 Mi Bawipa kyakia, a Capa Jesuh Khritaw am yümat khaia jah khüikia Pamhnam cun ümnak vai ni.
God is trustworthy who called you to share together in fellowship with his son Jesus Christ our Lord.
10 Ka püie aw, mi Bawipa Jesuh Khritawa ana sumei lü avan ning jah nghüinak ta nami pyen üng ä ti yüm lü nami ksunga ngtainak am ve. Cungaihnak ja ti tängnak üng yüm mat ua.
Brothers and sisters, I plead with you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ that you all agree and that you're not divided. Instead develop a united attitude and purpose.
11 Ka püie aw, nami ngcungkaih veki tia mawng cun Kalokuha khui im kyawng lawng naw na mthehkie ni.
For I have been told things about you, my brothers and sisters, by some of Chloe's people—that you are quarreling among yourselves.
Let me explain what I mean. You're all making different claims: “I follow Paul,” or “I follow Apollos,” or “I follow Peter,” or “I follow Christ.”
13 Khritaw cun ngkhawipaki aw? Pawluh nami phäha kutlamktung üng thiki aw? Am ani üng, Pawluha ngming am baptican nami ngkhamki aw?
Is Christ divided? Did Paul die on a cross for you? Was it in the name of Paul that you were baptized?
14 Pamhnam je na veng isetiakyaküng Kripuh ja Kajas däk ni baptican ka jah pet, nangmi üng u pi baptican am pe veng.
I'm grateful to God that I didn't baptize any of you, except Crispus and Gaius,
15 Am aniüng, khyang naw, keia ngming am baptican nami ngkhamkia ngai khaie ni.
so nobody can claim they were baptized in my name.
16 Stephena kyawnglawng ta baptican ka jah ngkhamsakki; acuna thea khyang kce baptican ka ja khamsak u am ksing veng.
(Oh, and I also baptized the Stephanas family—I can't think of anyone else.)
17 Khritaw naw baptican ka jah khamsak khaia am na tüih law. Thangkdaw pyen üng ksingkhyapnak am sumei hin Khritawa kutlamtunga johit käh a khyüh vaia ni.
For Christ didn't send me out to baptize, but to spread the good news, and not with eloquent human wisdom, otherwise the cross of Christ would be made powerless.
18 Kutlamtunga mawng cun khyükie phäha ta amdang ni; mimi küikyannak yakiea phäha ta Pamhnama khyaihnak ni.
For the message of the cross is nonsense to those who are lost, but it's the power of God to those of us who are saved.
19 “Khyang kthema ksingkhyapnak mkhyüh lü, ksinghmatnak pi ka kpyak khai” tia cangcim naw pyenki.
As Scripture says, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and I will wipe out the cleverness of the clever.”
20 Khyang kthem cun hawa ni? Thum ksingki cun hawa ni? Hina khawmdek khana ngcungkaih khyaihki cun hawa ni? Pamhnam naw khawmdeka kthemnak cun angnak ni tia, mdan pängki ni. (aiōn )
So how about the wise, the writers, and the philosophers of this age? Hasn't God turned the wisdom of this world into foolishness? (aiōn )
21 Khawmdek khyanga ksingnak üng Pamhnam cun ksing lü am ng’yah. Ak’anga ngthukhyü ami ti cun pyen lü jum ti cun Pamhnam naw küikyan ve.
Since God in his wisdom allowed the world in its wisdom not to know God, it was God's gracious plan that by the foolishness of the good news those who trusted in him would be saved.
22 Judahe naw, müncannak kthäh u lü Krike naw kthemnak suikie,
The Jews ask for miraculous signs, and Greeks look for wisdom,
23 keimie naw ta Khritaw kutlamtung üng taiha mawng kami pyenki, acun cun Judahea phäha kyukngtängnak kya lü, Khyangmjü kceea phäha angnaka kyaki.
but our message is of Christ killed on a cross—offensive to the Jews, and foolishness to the foreigners.
24 Acunsepi, Judahea pi kyase, Krikea pi kyase, Pamhnama khüea phäha ta Khritawa ngthu cun Pamhnama khyaihnak ja Pamhnama ksingnaka kyaki ni.
However, for those who are called by God, both Jews and foreigners, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.
25 Pamhnama angnak cun nghngicima ksingnaka kthaka kyäp bawki, Pamhnama am kyannak mäi cän pi nghngicima kyannaka kthaka kyäp bawki ni.
For the foolishness of God is wiser than we are; and the weakness of God is stronger than we are.
26 Ka püie aw, a ning jah khünak cän ngai süm ua, pumsa lama khyang kthem khawhah, khyang kyan khawhah, khyang kdaw khawhah am jah khü ve.
Brothers and sisters, remember your calling—and that this did not include many who are wise, humanly speaking; not many who are powerful; not many who are important.
27 Acunsepi, Pamhnam naw khyang ktheme a jah hmaisetsak vaia, khawmdek üng angkie jah khüki, ktha mahkie a jah hmaisetsak vaia, khawmdek üng ktha ngcekie ja khüki.
Instead God chose the things the world considers foolish to humiliate those who think they are wise. He chose the things the world considers weak to humiliate those who think they are strong.
28 Acunüng, kyäpkie ia am ngtäh khaiea khawmdek üng aksee jah hmuhmsitkie, am ngtähkie Pamhnam naw jah khüki.
He chose the things that are unimportant and despised by the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing the things that are,
29 Acunakyase, Pamhnama hmaia u am awcah thei.
so that nobody should boast in God's presence.
30 Nangmi ta, amäta phäha, Khritaw Jesuh üng nami vekie ni, pamhnam naw Khritaw cun mi hama themnaka a pawh ni, ani am mimi cun Pamhnam üng ngsungpyunkia a jah pawh, acuna phäh Pamhnama khyang ngcima mi kya lü mi lätki.
It's because of him that you live in Christ Jesus, who God made to be wisdom for us. He sets us right, keeps us right, and frees us.
31 Acunakyase, “Awhcahki naküt naw Bawipa awhcah na se” Cangcim naw tiki.
So as Scripture says, “Whoever wants to boast, let them boast in the Lord.”
