Zekariya 3
1 Pamenepo anandionetsa Yoswa, mkulu wa ansembe, atayima pamaso pa mngelo wa Yehova, ndipo Satana anayima ku dzanja lake lamanja kuti atsutsane naye.
And he showed me Joshua, the high-priest, standing before the angel of Jehovah, and the adversary standing at his right hand, to accuse him.
2 Yehova anawuza Satana kuti, “Yehova akukudzudzula iwe Satana! Yehova amene wasankha Yerusalemu akukudzudzula! Kodi munthu uyu sali ngati chikuni choyaka chofumula pa moto?”
And Jehovah said to the adversary: — Jehovah rebuke thee, thou adversary, Even Jehovah, who hath chosen Jerusalem, rebuke thee! Is not this man a brand plucked out of the fire?
3 Tsono Yoswa anali atavala zovala zalitsiro pa nthawi imene anayima pamaso pa mngelo.
Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
4 Mngelo uja anawuza anzake amene anali naye kuti, “Muvuleni zovala zake zalitsirizo.” Kenaka anawuza Yoswa kuti, “Taona, ndachotsa tchimo lako, ndipo ndikuveka zovala zokongola.”
And he [[the angel]] spake and said to them [[the angels]] that stood before him, saying, Take off the filthy garments from him. And to him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and will clothe thee with goodly apparel.
5 Ndipo ine ndinati, “Muvekeni nduwira yopatulika pamutu pake.” Choncho anamuveka nduwira yopatulika pamutu pake, namuvekanso zovala zatsopano. Nthawiyi nʼkuti mngelo wa Yehova atayima pambali.
And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head! And they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of Jehovah stood by.
6 Mngelo wa Yehova analimbikitsa Yoswa kuti,
And the angel of Jehovah declared to Joshua and said:
7 “Yehova Wamphamvuzonse akuti, ‘Ngati uyenda mʼnjira zanga ndi kusunga malamulo anga, pamenepo udzalamulira nyumba yanga ndi kuyangʼanira mabwalo anga, ndipo ndidzakulolani kuti mudzakhale pamodzi ndi amene ali panowa.
Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: If thou wilt walk in my ways, And if thou wilt keep my charge, Then thou shalt also rule my house, And shalt also keep my courts, And I will give thee guides among these that stand by.
8 “‘Mvera tsono, iwe Yoswa mkulu wa ansembe, pamodzi ndi anzako amene wakhala nawowa, amene ndi chizindikiro cha zinthu zimene zikubwera: Ine ndidzabweretsa mtumiki wanga, wotchedwa Nthambi.
Hear now, O Joshua, high-priest, Thou and thy companions, who sit before thee! For they are men that are signs. For, behold, I will cause to come my servant, the Branch.
9 Taona, mwala wokongola umene ndayika patsogolo pa Yoswa! Pa mwala umenewu pali maso asanu ndi awiri, ndipo Ine ndidzalembapo mawu,’ akutero Yehova Wamphamvuzonse, ‘ndipo ndidzachotsa tchimo la dziko lino tsiku limodzi.
For, behold, the stone which I have laid before Joshua, Upon this one stone shall be seven eyes; Behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith Jehovah of hosts; And I will remove the iniquity of this land in one day.
10 “‘Tsiku limenelo aliyense adzayitana mnzake kuti akhale pansi pa mtengo wamphesa ndi wa mkuyu,’ akutero Yehova Wamphamvuzonse.”
In that day, saith Jehovah of hosts, Shall ye invite every one his neighbor Under the vine and under the fig-tree.
