1 Koma iwe uziphunzitsa zogwirizana ndi chiphunzitso choona.
But you—speak what is suitable [according] to the sound teaching.
2 Phunzitsa amuna achikulire kuti akhale osaledzera, aulemu wawo, odziletsa, okhwima mʼchikhulupiriro, mʼchikondi ndi mʼkupirira.
Elders [are] to be temperate, dignified, sober, sound in faith, in the love, in the endurance.
3 Chimodzimodzinso, phunzitsa amayi achikulire kuti akhale aulemu mʼmakhalidwe awo, asakhale osinjirira anzawo kapena zidakwa, koma akhale alangizi abwino.
Aged women, in like manner, in behavior as becomes sacred persons, not false accusers, not enslaved to much wine, teachers of good things,
4 Tsono atha kulangiza amayi achichepere kukonda amuna awo ndi ana awo.
that they may make the young women sober-minded, to be lovers of [their] husbands, lovers of [their] children,
5 Kuwaphunzitsa kukhala odziletsa ndi oyera mtima, osamala bwino mabanja awo, okoma mtima, ndi ogonjera amuna awo. Choncho palibe amene adzanyoze mawu a Mulungu.
sober, pure, keepers of [their own] houses, good, subject to their own husbands, that evil may not be spoken of the word of God.
6 Momwemonso, uwalimbikitse amuna achichepere kuti akhale odziletsa.
The younger men, in like manner, exhort [them] to be sober-minded.
7 Pa zonse iwe mwini ukhale chitsanzo pa ntchito zabwino. Pa chiphunzitso chako uwonetsa kuona mtima ndi kutsimikiza mtima kwako.
Concerning all things, present yourself [as] a pattern of good works—in the teaching [with] uncorruptedness, dignity,
8 Phunzitsa choonadi kuti anthu asapeze chokutsutsa, motero wotsutsana nawe adzachita manyazi chifukwa adzasowa kanthu koyipa kuti atinenere.
sound discourse [that is] blameless, so that he who is of the contrary may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say concerning you.
9 Phunzitsa akapolo kuti azigonjera ambuye awo mu zinthu zonse ndi kuwakondweretsa. Asamatsutsane nawo
Servants [are] to be subject to their own masters, to be well-pleasing in all things, not contradicting,
10 kapena kumawabera, koma adzionetse kuti ndi odalirika, motero pa zochita zawo zonse adzaonetsa ubwino wa chiphunzitso cha Mulungu, Mpulumutsi wathu.
not stealing, but showing all good steadfastness, that the teaching of God our Savior they may adorn in all things.
11 Pakuti chisomo cha Mulungu chimene chimapulumutsa chaonekera kwa anthu onse.
For the saving grace of God has appeared to all men,
12 Chisomo chimatiphunzitsa kukana moyo osalemekeza Mulungu komanso zilakolako za dziko lapansi. Ndipo chimatiphunzitsa kukhala moyo odziletsa, olungama ndi opembedza Mulungu nthawi ino, (aiōn )
teaching us, that denying the impiety and the worldly desires, we may live soberly, and righteously, and piously in the present age, (aiōn )
13 pamene tikudikira chiyembekezo chodala; kuonekera kwa ulemerero wa Mulungu wathu wamkulu ndi Mpulumutsi, Yesu Khristu,
waiting for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,
14 amene anadzipereka yekha chifukwa cha ife kutiwombola ku zoyipa zonse ndi kudziyeretsera yekha anthu amene ndi akeake, achangu pa ntchito yabwino.
who gave Himself for us, that He might ransom us from all lawlessness, and might purify to Himself a special people, zealous of good works.
15 Tsono zimenezi ndi zinthu zomwe uyenera kuphunzitsa. Uziwalimbikitsa anthu ndi kuwatsutsa komwe. Uzichita zimenezi ndi ulamuliro wonse. Wina aliyense asakupeputse ayi.
Speak these things, and exhort and convict with all authority; let no one despise you!
