< Nyimbo ya Solomoni 6 >

1 Iwe wokongola kuposa akazi onsewa, kodi wokondedwa wakoyo wapita kuti? Kodi wokondedwa wakoyo wakhotera njira iti kuti timufunefune pamodzi ndi iwe?
Whither is thy friend gone, O fairest of women? whither hath thy friend turned himself? that we may seek him with thee?—
2 Wachikondi wanga watsikira ku munda kwake, ku timinda ta zokometsera zakudya, akukadyetsa ziweto zake ku minda, ndiponso akuthyola maluwa okongola.
My beloved is gone down to his garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.
3 Wokondedwa wangayo ndine wake ndipo iyeyo ndi wangawanga; amadyetsa ziweto zake pakati pa maluwa okongola.
I am my friend's, and my friend is mine: he that feedeth among the lilies.—
4 Ndiwe wokongola, bwenzi langa, ngati Tiriza, wokongola kwambiri ngati Yerusalemu, ndiwe woopsa ngati gulu lankhondo lonyamula mbendera.
Thou art beautiful, O my beloved, like Thirzah, comely like Jerusalem, terrible as armies encamped round their banners.
5 Usandipenyetsetse; pakuti maso ako amanditenga mtima. Tsitsi lako lili ngati gulu la mbuzi zikutsetsereka kuchokera ku Giliyadi.
Turn away thy eyes from me, for they have excited me: thy hair is like a flock of goats that come quietly down from mount Gil'ad.
6 Mano ako ali ngati gulu la nkhosa zimene zikubwera kuchokera kokazisambitsa, iliyonse ili ndi ana amapasa, palibe imene ili yokha.
Thy teeth are like a flock of ewes which are come up from the washing, all of which bear twins, and there is not one among them that is deprived of her young.
7 Kukhalira kumbuyo kwa nsalu yako yophimba kumutu, masaya ako ali ngati mabandu a makangadza.
Like the half of the pomegranate is the upper part of thy cheek behind thy vail.
8 Ngakhale patakhala akazi a mfumu 60, ndi azikazi 80, ndi anamwali osawerengeka;
Sixty are the queens, and eighty the concubines, and the young women without number;
9 koma nkhunda yanga, wangwiro wanga ndi wosiyana ndi wina aliyense; mwana wamkazi yekhayo wa amayi ake, mwana wapamtima wa amene anamubereka. Anamwali anamuona ndipo anamutcha wodala; akazi a mfumu ndi azikazi anamutamanda.
But one alone is my dove, my guiltless one; she is the only one of her mother, she is the chosen of her that bore her: maidens see her, and call her happy; yea, queens and concubines, and praise her.
10 Ndani uyu akuoneka ngati mʼbandakucha, wokongola ngati mwezi, wowala ngati dzuwa, wochititsa mantha ngati gulu la ankhondo mbendera zili mʼmanja?
Who is this that shineth forth like the morning-dawn, beautiful as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as armies encamped round their banners?
11 Ndinatsikira ku munda wa mitengo ya alimondi kukayangʼana zomera zatsopano ku chigwa, kukaona ngati mpesa waphukira kapena ngati makangadza ali ndi maluwa.
Into the nut-garden was I gone down, to look about among the plants of the valley, to see whether the vine had blossomed, whether the pomegranates had budded.
12 Ndisanazindikire kanthu, ndinakhala ngati ndikulota kuti ndili mʼgaleta pambali pa mfumu yanga.
I knew not [how it was], my soul made me [like] the chariots of my noble people.
13 Bwerera, bwerera iwe namwali wa ku Sulami; bwerera, bwerera kuti ife tidzakupenyetsetse iwe! Mwamuna Chifukwa chiyani mukufuna kudzapenyetsetsa ine mwana wamkazi wa ku Sulami, pamene ndikuvina pakati pa magulu awiri?
Return, return, O Shulammith; return, return, that we may look upon thee. “What will ye see in the Shulammith?” As though it were the dance of a double company.
