< Nyimbo ya Solomoni 1 >
1 Nyimbo ya Solomoni, nyimbo yoposa nyimbo zonse.
2 Undipsompsone ndi milomo yako chifukwa chikondi chako nʼchokoma kuposa vinyo.
Let him kiss me with the kiss of his mouth: for thy breasts are better than wine,
3 Mafuta ako odzola ndi onunkhira bwino; dzina lako lili ngati mafuta onunkhira otsanulidwa. Nʼchifukwa chake atsikana amakukonda!
Smelling sweet of the best ointments. Thy name is as oil poured out: therefore young maidens have loved thee.
4 Nditenge ndipo ndizikutsata, tiye tifulumire! Mfumu indilowetse mʼchipinda chake. Abwenzi Ife timasangalala ndi kukondwera nawe, tidzatamanda chikondi chako kupambana vinyo. Mkazi Amachita bwinotu potamanda iwe!
Draw me: we will run after thee to the odour of thy ointments. The king hath brought me into his storerooms: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, remembering thy breasts more than wine: the righteous love thee.
5 Ndine wakuda, komatu ndine wokongola, inu akazi a ku Yerusalemu, ine ndine wakuda ngati tenti ya ku Kedara, ngati makatani a tenti ya Solomoni.
I am black but beautiful, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Cedar, as the curtains of Solomon.
6 Musandiyangʼane monyoza chifukwa ndine wakuda, ndine wakuda chifukwa cha dzuwa. Alongo anga anandikwiyira ndipo anandigwiritsa ntchito mʼminda ya mpesa; munda wangawanga sindinawusamalire.
Do not consider me that I am brown, because the sun hath altered my colour: the sons of my mother have fought against me, they have made me the keeper in the vineyards: my vineyard I have not kept.
7 Ndiwuze iwe, amene ndimakukonda, kumene umadyetsa ziweto zako ndi kumene umagoneka nkhosa zako nthawi yamasana. Ndikhalirenji ngati mkazi wachiwerewere pambali pa ziweto za abwenzi ako?
Shew me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou liest in the midday, lest I begin to wander after the flocks of thy companions.
8 Ngati sukudziwa iwe wokongola kwambiri kuposa akazi ena, ngati sukudziwa, tsatira makwalala a nkhosa ndipo udyetse ana ambuzi pambali pa matenti a abusa.
If thou know not thyself, O fairest among women, go forth, and follow after the steps of the flocks, and feed thy kids beside the tents of the shepherds.
9 Iwe bwenzi langa, uli ngati kavalo wamkazi ku magaleta a Farao.
To my company of horsemen, in Pharao’s chariots, have I likened thee, O my love.
10 Masaya ako ndi okongola ndi ndolo zamʼmakutuzo, khosi lako likukongola ndi mikanda yamiyala yamtengowapatali.
Thy cheeks are beautiful as the turtledove’s, thy neck as jewels.
11 Tidzakupangira ndolo zagolide zokongoletsedwa ndi mikanda yasiliva.
We will make thee chains of gold, inlaid with silver.
12 Pamene mfumu inali pa malo ake odyera, mafuta anga onunkhira anamveka fungo lake.
While the king was at his repose, my spikenard sent forth the odour thereof.
13 Wokondedwa wanga ali ngati kathumba ka mure kwa ine, kamene kamakhala pakati pa mawere angawa.
A bundle of myrrh is my beloved to me, he shall abide between my breasts.
14 Wokondedwa wanga ali ngati mpukutu wa maluwa ofiira, ochokera ku minda ya mpesa ya ku Eni-Gedi.
A cluster of cypress my love is to me, in the vineyards of Engaddi.
15 Iwe wokondedwa wanga, ndiwe wokongoladi! Ndithu, ndiwe chiphadzuwa, maso ako ali ngati nkhunda.
Behold thou art fair, O my love, behold thou art fair, thy eyes are as those of doves.
16 Iwe bwenzi langa, ndiwe wokongoladi! Ndithu, ndiwe wokongoladi kwambiri! Ndipo malo athu ogonapo ndi msipu wobiriwira.
Behold thou art fair, my beloved, and comely. Our bed is flourishing.
17 Mitanda ya nyumba yathu ndi ya mkungudza, phaso lake ndi la mtengo wa payini.
The beams of our houses are of cedar, our rafters of cypress trees.
