< Aroma 2 >
1 Choncho, iwe amene umaweruza munthu wina, ulibe pokanira pakuti nthawi iliyonse pamene uweruza wina ukudzitsutsa wekha chifukwa iwe amene umaweruzawe umachitanso zinthu zomwezo.
Therefore you have nothing to say in your own defence, whoever you are who set yourself up as a judge. In judging others you condemn yourself, for you who set yourself up as a judge do the very same things.
2 Tsopano ife tikudziwa kuti chiweruzo cha Mulungu, chotsutsa amene amachita zinthu zotere, nʼchokhazikika pa choonadi.
And we know that God’s judgment falls unerringly on those who do them.
3 Kodi ukuganiza kuti udzathawa chiweruzo cha Mulungu iwe munthu wamba, pamene uweruza ena, iwe ndi kumachitanso zomwezo?
You who judge those that do such things and yet are yourself guilty of them – do you suppose that you of all people will escape God’s judgment?
4 Kodi kapena ukupeputsa kukoma mtima kwa Mulungu, kuleza mtima kwake ndi kupirira kwake? Kodi sukuzindikira kuti kukoma mtima kwakeko, nʼkofuna kuti iweyo ulape machimo ako?
Or do you think lightly of his abundant kindness, patience, and forbearance, not realising that his kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?
5 Koma pakuti ndiwe wosamvera ndi wa mtima wosafuna kulapa, ukudzisungira chilango pa tsiku la mkwiyo wa Mulungu, pamene chiweruzo cholungama cha Mulungu chidzaonetsedwa.
Hard-hearted and impenitent as you are, you are storing up for yourself wrath on the day of wrath, when God’s justice as a judge will be revealed;
6 Mulungu adzabwezera aliyense molingana ndi ntchito zake.
for he will give to everyone what their actions deserve.
7 Iye adzapereka moyo wosatha kwa amene amafunafuna ulemerero, ulemu ndi moyo pochita ntchito zabwino mopirira. (aiōnios )
To those who, by perseverance in doing good, aim at glory, honour, and all that is imperishable, he will give immortal life; (aiōnios )
8 Koma Mulungu adzakhuthulira mkwiyo ndi ukali wake pa amene amachita zofuna zawo ndi kukana choonadi nʼkumatsatira zoyipa.
while as to those who are factious, and disobedient to truth but obedient to evil, wrath and anger, distress and despair,
9 Masautso ndi zowawa zidzagwera munthu aliyense amene amachita zonyansa, kuyambira Myuda kenaka anthu a mitundu ina.
will fall on every human being who persists in wrongdoing – on the Jew first, but also on the Greek.
10 Koma ulemerero, ulemu ndi mtendere zidzakhala kwa aliyense amene amachita zabwino, kuyambira Myuda kenaka anthu a mitundu ina.
But there will be glory, honour, and peace for everyone who does right – for the Jew first, but also for the Greek,
11 Pajatu Mulungu alibe tsankho.
since God shows no partiality.
12 Onse amene amachimwa osadziwa Malamulo, adzawonongeka ngakhale kuti sadziwa Malamulowo. Ndipo onse amene amachimwa akudziwa Malamulo adzaweruzidwa potsata Malamulowo.
All who, when they sin, are without Law will also perish without Law; while all who, when they sin, are under Law, will be judged as being under Law.
13 Pakuti si amene amangomva Malamulo amene amakhala wolungama pamaso pa Mulungu, koma ndi okhawo amene amachita zili mʼMalamulomo amene adzatchedwa olungama.
It is not those who hear the words of a Law that are righteous before God, but it is those who obey it that will be pronounced righteous.
14 Ndithu, pamene a mitundu ina, amene alibe Malamulo, koma mwachikhalidwe chawo amachita zimene zili mʼMalamulo, iwowo ndi Malamulo pa iwo okha, ngakhale kuti alibe Malamulowo.
When Gentiles, who have no Law, do instinctively what the Law requires, they, though they have no Law, are a Law to themselves;
15 Ntchito zawo zimaonetsa kuti Malamulowo alembedwa mʼmitima mwawo. Chikumbumtima chawonso chimawachitira umboni pakuti maganizo awo amawatsutsa kapena kuwavomereza.
for they show the demands of the Law written on their hearts; their consciences corroborating it, while in their thoughts they argue either in self-accusation or, it may be, in self-defence –
16 Izi zidzachitika pa tsiku limene Mulungu adzaweruza zinsinsi za anthu kudzera mwa Yesu Khristu, monga momwe Uthenga wanga Wabwino unenera.
on the day when God passes judgment on people’s inmost lives, as the good news that I tell declares that he will do through Christ Jesus.
17 Koma iweyo, amene umadzitcha kuti ndiwe Myuda, umadalira Malamulo, ndipo umanyadira ubale wako ndi Mulungu,
But, perhaps, you bear the name of “Jew,” and are relying on Law, and boast of belonging to God, and understand his will,
18 ngati umadziwa chifuniro chake, ndi kudziwa zoyenera kuchita chifukwa unaphunzitsidwa ndi Malamulo;
and, having been carefully instructed from the Law, have learned to appreciate the finer moral distinctions.
19 ngati umadziwadi kuti ndiwe mtsogoleri wa osaona, nyale yowunikira amene ali mu mdima,
Perhaps you are confident that you are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in the dark, an instructor of the unintelligent,
20 mlangizi wa anthu opusa, mphunzitsi wa makanda, chifukwa umadziwa kuti mʼMalamulo uli nayo nzeru yonse ndi choonadi,
and a teacher of the childish, because in the Law you possess the outline of all knowledge and truth.
21 tsono, iwe amene umaphunzitsa ena, sudziphunzitsa wekha kodi? Kodi iwe amene umalalikira kuti anthu asabe, umabanso?
Why, then, you teacher of others, don’t you teach yourself? Do you preach against stealing, and yet steal?
22 Kodi iwe amene umanena kuti anthu asachite chigololo, umachitanso chigololo? Kodi iwe amene umanyasidwa ndi mafano, umalandanso za mʼnyumba zopembedzera mafanowo?
Do you forbid adultery, and yet commit adultery? Do you loathe idols, and yet plunder temples?
23 Kodi iwe amene umadzitama ndi Malamulo, umamuchititsa manyazi Mulungu posamvera Malamulowo?
Boasting, as you do, of your Law, do you dishonour God by breaking the Law?
24 Monga kwalembedwa, “Dzina la Mulungu likuchitidwa chipongwe pakati pa a mitundu ina chifukwa cha inu.”
For, as scripture says – “The Gentiles insult God’s name because of you”!
25 Mdulidwe umakhala ndi phindu ngati usunga Malamulo, koma ngati sumvera Malamulo, iweyo umakhala ngati kuti sunachite mdulidwe.
Circumcision has its value, if you are obeying the Law. But, if you are a breaker of the Law, your circumcision is no better than uncircumcision.
26 Ngati amene sanachite mdulidwe achita zomwe zili mʼMalamulo, kodi sadzatengedwa ngati ochita mdulidwe?
If, then, an uncircumcised man pays regard to the requirements of the Law, won’t he, although not circumcised, be regarded by God as if he were?
27 Munthu amene sanachite mdulidwe mʼthupi koma amamvera Malamulo adzakutsutsa iwe wosamvera Malamulowe, ngakhale kuti uli nawo Malamulo olembedwawo.
Indeed, the person who, owing to his birth, remains uncircumcised, and yet scrupulously obeys the Law, will condemn you, who, for all your written Law and your circumcision, are yet a breaker of the Law.
28 Myuda weniweni si amene angooneka ngati Myuda pamaso pa anthu, ndipo mdulidwe weniweni si umene umangochitika mʼthupi pamaso pa anthu.
For a man who is only a Jew outwardly is not a real Jew; nor is outward bodily circumcision real circumcision. The real Jew is the person who is a Jew in soul;
29 Ayi, Myuda weniweni ndi amene ali Myuda mu mtima mwake, ndipo mdulidwe weniweni ndi wa mtima, wochitika ndi Mzimu, osati ndi malamulo olembedwa. Woyamikira munthu wotere ndi Mulungu, osati anthu ayi.
and the real circumcision is the circumcision of the heart, a spiritual and not a literal thing. Such a person wins praise from God, though not from people.
