Aroma 10

1 Abale, chokhumba cha mtima wanga ndi pemphero langa kwa Mulungu ndi chakuti Aisraeli apulumutsidwe.

My Brethren, The desire of my heart, and my intercession with God for them, is, that they might have life.

2 Popeza ndiwachitira umboni kuti ndi achangu pa zinthu za Mulungu koma osati mwachidziwitso.

For I bear them witness, that there is in them a zeal for God; but it is not according to knowledge.

3 Pakuti sanadziwe chilungamo chochokera kwa Mulungu ndipo anafuna kukhazikitsa chawochawo. Iwo sanagonjere chilungamo cha Mulungu.

For they know not the righteousness of God, but seek to establish their own righteousness: and therefore they have not submitted themselves to the righteousness of God.

4 Khristu ndiye mathero amalamulo kuti aliyense amene akhulupirira akhale olungama pamaso pa Mulungu.

For Messiah is the aim of the law, for righteousness, unto every one that believeth in him.

5 Mose akulemba motere zachilungamo cha malamulo, “Munthu amene achita zinthu izi adzakhala ndi moyo pozichita.”

For Moses describeth the righteousness, which is by the law, thus: Whoever shall do these things, shall live by them.

6 Koma chilungamo cha chikhulupiriro chikuti, “Usanene mu mtima mwako kuti, ‘Kodi ndani amene akwere kumwamba?’” (ndiko, kukatsitsa Khristu)

But the righteousness which is by faith, saith thus: Thou shalt not say in thy heart, Who ascendeth to heaven, and bringeth Messiah down?

7 “kapena ‘Ndani adzatsikira ku dziko la anthu akufa?’” (ndiko, kukamutenga Khristu kwa akufa). (Abyssos g12)

Or, Who descendeth to the abyss of the grave, and bringeth up Messiah from the place of the dead? (Abyssos g12)

8 Nanga akuti chiyani? “Mawu ali pafupi ndi inu. Ali mʼkamwa mwanu ndi mu mtima mwanu.” Ndiwo mawu achikhulupiriro amene ife tikuwalalikira,

But what saith it? The thing is near to thy mouth, and to thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we proclaim.

9 kuti ngati udzavomereza ndi pakamwa pako kuti, “Yesu ndiye Ambuye,” ndi kukhulupirira mu mtima mwako kuti Mulungu anamuukitsa kwa akufa, udzapulumuka.

And if thou shalt confess with thy mouth our Lord Jesus, and shalt believe with thy heart, that God hath raised him from the dead; thou shalt live.

10 Pakuti ndi mtima wanu mukhulupirira ndi kulungamitsidwa, ndipo ndi pakamwa panu muvomereza ndi kupulumutsidwa.

For the heart that believeth in him, is justified; and the mouth that confesseth him, is restored to life.

11 Pakuti Malemba akuti, “Aliyense amene akhulupirira Iye, sadzachititsidwa manyazi.”

For the scripture saith: Every one that believeth in him, shall not be ashamed.

12 Pakuti palibe kusiyana pakati pa Myuda ndi a mitundu ina, pakuti Ambuye mmodzi yemweyo ndi Ambuye wa onse ndipo amadalitsa mochuluka onse amene ayitana pa Iye

And in this, it discriminateth neither Jews nor Gentiles. For there is one Lord over them all, who is rich, towards every one that calleth on him.

13 pakuti, “Aliyense amene adzayitana pa dzina la Ambuye adzapulumuka.”

For every one that shall call on the name of the Lord, will have life.

14 Kodi adzayitana bwanji amene sanamukhulupirire? Ndipo adzakhulupirira bwanji asanamve za Iye? Ndipo adzamva bwanji popanda wina kulalikira kwa iwo?

How then shall they call on him, in whom they have not believed? Or, how shall they believe in him, of whom they have not heard? Or, how shall they hear, without a preacher?

15 Ndipo iwo adzalalikira bwanji osatumidwa? Kwalembedwa kuti, “Akongoladi mapazi a iwo amene amabweretsa Uthenga Wabwino!”

Or, how shall they preach, if they are not sent forth? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of the heralds of peace, and of the heralds of good things?

16 Koma si onse amene anavomereza Uthenga Wabwino. Pakuti Yesaya akuti, “Ambuye, ndani amene wakhulupirira uthenga wathu?”

But all of them have not obeyed the proclamation of the gospel. (For, Isaiah said: My Lord, who hath believed our proclamation?)

17 Motero, chikhulupiriro chimabwera pamene timva uthenga ndipo uthenga umamveka kuchokera ku mawu a Khristu.

Therefore, faith is from the hearing of the ear; and the hearing of the ear, is from the word of God.

18 Koma ndikufunsa kuti kodi iwo anamva? Inde, iwo anamva kuti, “Liwu lawo linamveka ponseponse pa dziko lapansi. Mawu awo anafika ku malekezero a dziko lonse.”

But I say: Have they not heard? And, lo, their proclamation hath gone out into all the earth; and their words to the ends of the world.

19 Ine ndifunsanso kuti, kodi Israeli sanazindikire? Poyamba Mose akuti, “Ine ndidzawachititsa kuti achite nsanje ndi mtundu wina wopandapake. Ine ndidzawakwiyitsa ndi mtundu wina wachabechabe.”

But I say: Did not Israel know? First, Moses said, thus: I will awaken your emulation, by a people which is not a people; and by a disobedient people, I will provoke you.

20 Ndipo Yesaya molimba mtima akuti, “Anandipeza anthu amene sanali kundifunafuna. Ndinadzionetsera kwa amene sanafunse za Ine.”

And Isaiah was bold, and said: I was seen by those who sought me not; and I was found by those who inquired not for me.

21 Koma zokhudzana ndi Aisraeli akuti, “Tsiku lonse ndinatambasulira manja anga kwa anthu osandimvera ndi okanika.”

But to Israel, he said: All the day, have I stretched out my hands to a contentious and disobedient people.
