1 Ndinaona pamene Mwana Wankhosa anatsekula chomatira choyamba cha zomatira zisanu ndi ziwiri zija. Ndipo ndinamva chimodzi mwa zamoyo zinayi zija chikunena liwu lomveka ngati bingu kuti, “Bwera!”
Then I saw the Lamb open one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say with a voice like thunder, “Come and see.”
2 Nditayangʼana patsogolo pake ndinaona kavalo woyera! Wokwerapo wake anali ndi uta ndipo anapatsidwa chipewa chaufumu, ndipo anatuluka kupita kukagonjetsa anthu ena.
And behold, there was a white horse! Its rider had a bow, and he was given a crown and went out conquering and to conquer.
3 Mwana Wankhosa atatsekula chomatira chachiwiri, ndinamva chamoyo chachiwiri chija chikuti, “Bwera!”
When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come.”
4 Pamenepo kavalo wina wofiira anatulukira. Wokwerapo wake anapatsidwa mphamvu yochotsa mtendere pa dziko lapansi ndi kuchititsa anthu kuti aziphana wina ndi mnzake. Iyeyu anapatsidwa lupanga lalikulu.
Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was permitted to take peace from the earth, so that people would slay one another, and he was given a great sword.
5 Mwana Wankhosa atatsekula chomatira chachitatu, ndinamva chamoyo chachitatu chikuti, “Bwera!” Nditayangʼana patsogolo panga ndinaona kavalo wakuda! Wokwerapo wake anali ndi masikelo awiri mʼmanja mwake.
When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see.” And behold, there was a black horse! Its rider had a balance scale in his hand.
6 Ndinamva ngati liwu kuchokera pakati pa zamoyo zinayi zija likuti, “Kilogalamu imodzi ya tirigu mtengo ndi malipiro a tsiku limodzi ndipo makilogalamu atatu a barele mtengo wake ndi malipiro a tsiku limodzi koma usawononge mafuta ndi vinyo!”
Then I heard a voice from among the four living creatures saying, “A measure of wheat for a denarius, and three measures of barley for a denarius, and do not damage the oil and wine.”
7 Mwana Wankhosa atatsekula chomatira chachinayi, ndinamva chamoyo chachinayi chija chikunena kuti, “Bwera!”
When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the fourth living creature say, “Come and see.”
8 Nditayangʼana patsogolo panga ndinaona kavalo wotuwa! Wokwerapo wake dzina lake linali Imfa ndipo Hade inali kumutsatira pambuyo pake. Anapatsidwa ulamuliro pa gawo limodzi la magawo anayi a dziko lapansi kuti aphe ndi lupanga, njala, mliri, ndi zirombo zakuthengo za mʼdziko lapansi. (Hadēs g86)
And behold, there was a pale green horse! The name of its rider was Death, and Hades followed him. He was given authority over a fourth of the earth to kill by the sword, by famine and pestilence, and by the wild beasts of the earth. (Hadēs g86)
9 Mwana Wankhosa atatsekula chomatira chachisanu, ndinaona kunsi kwa guwa lansembe kunali mizimu ya anthu amene anaphedwa chifukwa cha Mawu a Mulungu ndi chifukwa chochitira umboni.
When the Lamb opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and because of the testimony of the Lamb which they had upheld.
10 Iwo anafuwula kuti, “Mudzawaleka mpaka liti, Inu Ambuye wamkulu, woyera ndi woona, osawaweruza anthu okhala mʼdziko lapansi ndi kulipsira magazi athu?”
They cried out with a loud voice, “How long, O Master, Holy and True, will yoʋ not judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”
11 Pamenepo aliyense wa anthuwo anapatsidwa mwinjiro woyera ndipo anawuzidwa kuti adikire pangʼono kufikira chiwerengero cha anzawo ndi abale awo amene anayeneranso kuphedwa ngati iwo, chitakwanira.
They were each given a white robe and told to rest a while longer, until their fellow servants and their brothers, who were about to be killed just as they had been, should complete their course.
12 Ndinayangʼanitsitsa pamene ankatsekula chomatira chachisanu ndi chimodzi. Ndipo panachitika chivomerezi champhamvu. Dzuwa linada ngati chiguduli chopanga ndi bweya wambuzi wakuda. Mwezi wonse unafiira ngati magazi,
Then I watched as the Lamb opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake. The sun became as black as sackcloth made of goat hair, the entire moon became like blood,
13 ndipo nyenyezi zakuthambo zinagwa pa dziko lapansi ngati muja zimagwera nkhuyu zotsalira mu mtengo mphepo yamphamvu ikawomba.
and the stars of the sky fell to the earth like a fig tree dropping its unripe figs when it is shaken by a strong wind.
14 Thambo linachoka ngati amayalulira mphasa ndipo phiri lililonse ndi chilumba chilichonse zinachotsedwa pa malo pake.
The sky was split apart like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.
15 Kenaka, mafumu a pa dziko lapansi, ana a mafumu, atsogoleri a ankhondo, olemera, amphamvu, kapolo aliyense, ndi mfulu aliyense anakabisala kumapanga ndi pakati pa matanthwe a ku mapiri.
Then the kings of the earth, the magnates, the commanders, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and free man hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains.
16 Iwo anafuwulira mapiri ndi matanthwe kuti, “Tigwereni ndi kutivundikira kuti asatione wokhala pa mpando waufumuyo ndi kupulumuka ku mkwiyo wa Mwana Wankhosa!
And they said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb,
17 Pakuti tsiku lalikulu la mkwiyo wawo lafika ndipo ndi ndani angathe kulimbapo?”
for the great day of his wrath has come, and who can withstand it?”
