1 “Lembera mngelo wa mpingo wa ku Efeso kuti: Awa ndi mawu ochokera kwa amene ali ndi nyenyezi zisanu ndi ziwiri zija mʼdzanja lake lamanja amene akuyenda pakati pa zoyikapo nyale zisanu ndi ziwiri zagolide.
Unto the messenger of the assembly, in Ephesus, write: —These things, saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, he that walketh in the midst of the seven lamps of gold:
2 Ine ndimadziwa zochita zako, ntchito yako yowawa ndi kupirira kwako. Ine ndimadziwa kuti sungalekerere anthu oyipa amene amadzitcha atumwi pamene sichoncho, unawayesa, ndipo unawapeza kuti ndi abodza.
I know thy works, and thy toil, and endurance, and that thou canst not bear bad men, and thou hast tried them who were affirming themselves to be apostles, and they were not, and hast found them false;
3 Iwe wapirira ndipo wakumana ndi zovuta chifukwa cha dzina langa, ndipo sunatope.
And thou hast, endurance, and hast borne for the sake of my name, and hast not grown weary.
4 Komabe ndili ndi chotsutsana nawe: Wataya chikondi chako chapoyamba.
Nevertheless, I have against thee, that, thy first love, thou hast left.
5 Kumbukirani kuti munagwa kuchokera patali. Lapa ndikuchita zinthu zimene unkachita poyamba. Ngati sulapa ndidzabwera ndikukuchotsera choyikapo nyale chako pamalo pake.
Remember, therefore, whence thou hast fallen, and repent, and do, thy first works; otherwise, I come unto thee, and will remove thy lamp out of its place, except thou repent.
6 Komabe chokomera chako ndi chakuti umadana ndi zochita za Anikolai, zimene Inenso ndimadana nazo.
But, this, thou hast, that thou hatest the works of the Nicolaitanes, which, I also, hate.
7 Amene ali ndi makutu, amve zimene Mzimu akuwuza mipingo. Amene adzapambana, ndidzamupatsa ufulu wakudya zipatso za mtengo wopatsa moyo umene uli ku paradizo wa Mulungu.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what, the Spirit, is saying unto the assemblies. Unto him that overcometh—I will give, unto him, to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.
8 “Lembera mngelo wa mpingo wa ku Simurna kuti: Awa ndi mawu ochokera kwa amene ndi Woyamba ndi Wotsiriza, amene anafa nʼkukhalanso ndi moyo.
And, unto the messenger of the assembly, in Smyrna, write: —These things, saith the first and the last, who became dead, and lived:
9 Ine ndimadziwa masautso ako ndi umphawi wako, chonsecho ndiwe wolemera! Ndikudziwa zimene amakusinjirira anthu amene amati ndi Ayuda pamene sizili choncho, koma ndi a mpingo wa Satana.
I know thy tribulation, and destitution, nevertheless, thou art, rich, and the profane speech from among them who affirm that they themselves are, Jews, and they are not, but a synagogue of Satan.
10 Musachite mantha ndi zimene muti musauke nazo posachedwapa. Ndithu, Satana adzayika ena a inu mʼndende pofuna kukuyesani, ndipo mudzazunzika kwa masiku khumi. Khalani okhulupirika ngakhale zitafika pa imfa, ndipo Ine ndidzakupatsani chipewa cha ulemerero wamoyo.
Do not fear the things which thou art about to suffer. Lo! the adversary is about to cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried, and may have tribulation ten days. Become thou faithful until death, and I will give thee the crown of life.
11 Amene ali ndi makutu, amve zimene Mzimu akuwuza mipingo. Amene adzapambana sadzapwetekedwa ndi pangʼono pomwe ndi imfa yachiwiri.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what, the Spirit, is saying unto the assemblies. He that overcometh, shall in nowise be injured by reason of the second death.
12 “Lembera mngelo wa mpingo wa ku Pergamo kuti: Awa ndi mawu ochokera kwa amene ali ndi lupanga lakuthwa konsekonse.
And, unto the messenger of the assembly, in Pergamum, write: —These things, saith he that hath the sharp, two-edged sword:
13 Iye akuti, ‘Ine ndimadziwa kumene mumakhala, kumene kuli mpando waufumu wa Satana. Komabe inu ndinu okhulupirika kwa Ine. Simunataye chikhulupiriro chanu pa Ine, ngakhale mʼmasiku a Antipa, mboni yanga yokhulupirika, amene anaphedwa mu mzinda wanu, kumene amakhala Satana.
I know where thou dwellest, where, the throne of Satan, is; and thou art holding fast my name, and didst not deny my faith, even in the days of Antipas, my witness, my faithful one, who was killed near you, where, Satan, dwelleth.
14 Komabe, ndili ndi zinthu zingapo zotsutsana nanu. Kumeneko muli ndi anthu ena amene amatsata ziphunzitso za Balaamu, uja amene anaphunzitsa Baraki kukopa Aisraeli kuti azidya nsembe zoperekedwa ku mafano ndi kumachita chigololo.
Nevertheless, I have against thee, a few things, —that thou hast there, such as hold fast the teaching of Balaam, —who went on to teach Balak to throw a cause of stumbling before the sons of Israel, to eat idol-sacrifices and to commit lewdness:
15 Chimodzimodzinso inuyo muli ndi ena amene amatsatira ziphunzitso za Anikolai.
thus, even, thou, hast such as hold fast the teaching of the Nicolaitanes, in like manner.
16 Tsono tembenukani mtima. Mukapanda kutero, ndidzabwera kwanuko posachedwa ndipo ndidzachita nanu nkhondo ndi lupanga lotuluka mʼkamwa mwanga lija.
Repent, therefore, otherwise, I come unto thee speedily, —and will fight against them, with the sword of my mouth.
17 Amene ali ndi makutu, amve zimene Mzimu akuwuza mipingo. Kwa amene adzapambane ndidzamupatsa chakudya chobisika cha mana. Ndidzamupatsanso mwala woyera wolembedwapo dzina latsopano, lodziwa iye yekha amene walandirayo.’”
He that hath an ear, let him hear what, the Spirit, is saying unto the assemblies. Unto him that overcometh, I will give, unto him, of the hidden manna, and I will give unto him a white stone, and, upon the stone, a new name written, which, no one, knoweth, save he that receiveth it.
18 “Lembera mngelo wampingo wa ku Tiyatira kuti: Awa ndi mawu ochokera kwa Mwana wa Mulungu, amene maso ake ali ngati moto woyaka ndi mapazi ake ngati chitsulo chonyezimira.
And, unto the messenger of the assembly, in Thyatira, write: —These things, saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like a flame of fire, and his feet like unto glowing copper:
19 Iye akuti: Ndimadziwa ntchito zanu, chikondi chanu ndi chikhulupiriro chanu, kutumikira kwanu ndi kupirira kwanu. Ndikudziwa tsopano kuti ntchito zanu ndi zabwino kuposa zoyamba zija.
I know thy works, and thy love, and faith, and ministry, and endurance, —and that, thy last works, are more than the first.
20 Komabe ndili ndi chinthu chokudzudzula nacho. Umamulekerera mkazi uja Yezebeli amene amadzitcha yekha kuti ndi mneneri. Iye amaphunzitsa atumiki anga kuti azichita zadama ndi kumadya zansembe zoperekedwa ku mafano.
Nevertheless, I have against thee, that thou sufferest the woman Jezebel, she who calleth herself a prophetess, and is teaching and leading astray my own servants to commit lewdness and to eat idol-sacrifices;
21 Ndamupatsa nthawi kuti aleke zachigololo zake koma sakufuna.
and I gave her time, that she might repent, and she willeth not to repent out of her lewdness.
22 Tsono ndidzamugwetsa mʼmasautso ndipo amene amachita naye zadama zakezo ndidzawasautsa kwambiri akapanda kulapa ndi kuleka njira za mkaziyo.
Lo! I cast her into a bed, and them who are committing adultery with her, into great tribulation, —except they repent out of her works;
23 Ana ake ndidzawakantha ndi kuwapheratu. Kotero mipingo yonse idzadziwa kuti Ine ndine uja amene ndimafufuza mʼmitima mwa anthu ndi mʼmaganizo mwawo. Aliyense wa inu ndidzachita naye monga mwa ntchito zake.
and, her children, will I slay with death; —and all the assemblies shall get to know, that, I, am he that searcheth reins and hearts, and will give unto you, each one, according to your works.
24 Tsopano ndikunena kwa enanu a ku Tiyatira, kwa inu amene simunatsate chiphunzitso cha mkaziyo ndipo simunaphunzire zimene iwo amati ndi ‘zinsinsi zonama’ za Satana. Kwa inu mawu anga ndi akuti sindikuwunjikirani malamulo ena.
But, unto you, I say, —the rest who are in Thyatira, as many as have not this teaching, such as have not come to know the deep things of Satan, as they say, I do not cast upon you any other burden;
25 Inu mungogwiritsa zimene munaphunzira basi, mpaka Ine ndidzabwere.
nevertheless, what ye have, hold fast, till I shall have come.
26 Amene adzapambana ndi kuchita chifuniro changa mpaka kumapeto, ndidzamupatsa ulamuliro pa mitundu yonse ya anthu.
And, he that overcometh, and keepeth throughout my works, I will, give unto him, authority over the nations;
27 Adzayilamulira ndi ndodo yachitsulo ndipo nadzayiphwanyaphwanya ngati mbiya. Ulamuliro umenewu ndi omwe ndinalandira kwa Atate anga.
and he shall shepherd them with a sceptre of iron, —as, vessels of earthenware, are dashed in pieces: —as, I also, have received from my Father.
28 Ine ndidzamupatsanso nthanda, nyenyezi yowala mʼmamawa ija.
And I will give unto him the morning star.
29 Amene ali ndi makutu, amve zimene Mzimu akuwuza mipingo.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what, the Spirit, is saying unto the assemblies.
