< Chivumbulutso 17 >
1 Mmodzi wa angelo asanu ndi awiri aja amene anali ndi mbale zisanu ndi ziwiri anadza nati kwa ine, “Bwera ndikuonetse chilango cha mkazi wadama wotchuka uja amene akukhala pambali pa madzi ambiri.
Then one of the seven angels who held the seven bowls came and spoke to me. “Come here,” he said, “and I will show you the sentence passed on that Great Harlot who is seated at the meeting of many waters,
2 Mafumu a dziko lapansi amachita naye chigololo ndipo okhala pa dziko lapansi analedzera ndi vinyo wa zigololo zake.”
and with whom all the kings of the earth have had licentious intercourse; while all who live on the earth have been make drunk by the wine of her licentiousness.”
3 Kenaka mngeloyo anandinyamula mwa Mzimu Woyera kupita nane ku chipululu. Kumeneko ndinaona mkazi atakhala pa chirombo chofiira chokutidwa ndi mayina a chipongwe ndipo chinali ndi mitu isanu ndi iwiri ndi nyanga khumi.
And he bore me away in a trance to a lonely place, and I saw a woman seated on a scarlet Beast, which was covered with blasphemous names; it had seven heads and ten horns.
4 Mkaziyo anavala zovala za pepo ndi zofiira nadzikongoletsa ndi golide, miyala yapamwamba ndi ngale. Ananyamula chikho chagolide mʼdzanja lake, chodzaza ndi zinthu zonyansa ndi fungo loyipa la zigololo zake.
The woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and glittering with gold ornaments, precious stones, and pearls. In her hand she held a gold cup, full of idolatrous abominations, and the unclean fruits of her licentiousness;
5 Pa mphumi pake panalembedwa dzina lodabwitsa: BABULONI WAMKULU MAYI WA AKAZI ADAMA NDI WAZOYIPITSA ZA DZIKO LAPANSI.
while on her forehead there was written this mystic name – “BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF ALL IDOLATROUS ABOMINATIONS ON EARTH.”
6 Ndinaona kuti mkaziyo anali ataledzera ndi magazi a oyera mtima, magazi a amene anachitira umboni Yesu. Nditamuona mkaziyo ndinadabwa kwambiri.
And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of Christ’s people and with the blood of the martyrs for Jesus. When I saw her, I was amazed beyond measure;
7 Kenaka mngelo uja anati kwa ine, “Bwanji ukudabwa? Ndikufotokozera chinsinsi cha mkaziyu ndi chinsinsi cha chirombo chimene wakwerapochi chokhala ndi mitu isanu ndi iwiri ndi nyanga khumi.
but the angel said to me – “Why were you amazed? I will tell you the mystic meaning of the vision of this woman, and of the Beast, with the seven heads and ten horns, that carries her.
8 Chirombo chimene wachionachi chinalipo kale koma tsopano kulibe ndipo chidzatuluka ku chidzenje chakuya ndi kupita kukawonongedwa. Anthu okhala pa dziko lapansi amene mayina awo sanalembedwe mʼbuku lamoyo kuyambira pa kulengedwa kwa dziko lapansi adzadabwa pamene adzaona chirombocho, chifukwa chinalipo kale, tsopano kulibe, komabe chidzabwera. (Abyssos )
The Beast that you saw was, but is not, and is about to rise out of the bottomless pit, and is on its way to destruction. Those who are living on earth will be amazed – those whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world – when they see that the Beast was, but is not, and yet will come.” (Abyssos )
9 “Zimenezi zikufunika kuganizira mwanzeru. Mitu isanu ndi iwiriyo ndi mapiri asanu ndi awiri pomwe mkazi uja amakhalirapo. Yomweyonso ndi mafumu asanu ndi awiri.
(Here there is need for the discerning mind.) The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is seated.
10 Mafumu asanu anagwa, imodzi ilipo ndipo ina sinabwere; koma pamene idzafika, idzayenera kukhala kwa kanthawi kochepa.
They are also seven kings; of whom five have fallen and one remains, while one is not yet come. When he comes, he must stay for a little while.
11 Chirombo chomwe chinalipo kale ndipo tsopano kulibe ndiyo mfumu yachisanu ndi chitatu. Iyo ndi ya mʼgulu la asanu ndi awiriwo ndipo ikupita kukawonongedwa.
So must the Beast that was, but is not. He counts as an eighth king, although he is one of the seven, and is on his way to destruction.
12 “Nyanga khumi unaziona zija ndi mafumu khumi amene sanapatsidwe ulamuliro, koma adzapatsidwa ulamuliro pamodzi ndi chirombo kwa ora limodzi.
The ten horns that you saw are ten kings, who have not yet received their kingdoms, but for an hour they receive the authority of kings, together with the Beast.
13 Mafumuwo ali ndi cholinga chimodzi ndipo adzapereka mphamvu ndi ulamuliro wawo kwa chirombocho.
These kings are of one mind in surrendering their power and authority to the Beast.
14 Iwo adzachita nkhondo ndi Mwana Wankhosa, koma Mwana Wankhosayo adzawagonjetsa chifukwa Iye ndi Mbuye wa ambuye ndi Mfumu ya mafumu, ndipo amene adzakhala ndi Iye ndi oyitanidwa ake, osankhidwa ndi otsatira ake okhulupirika.”
They will fight with the Lamb, but the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings; so, too, will those with him who have received the call and are chosen and faithful.
15 Kenaka mngeloyo anati kwa ine, “Madzi amene unawaona pamene mkazi wadamayo anakhalapo ndiwo anthu ochuluka, mitundu ndi ziyankhulo.
And the angel said to me – “The waters that you saw, where the Harlot is seated, are throngs of people and men of all nations and languages.
16 Nyanga khumi ndi chirombo unazionazo zidzadya mkazi wadamayo. Zidzamufwifwitsa ndi kumusiya wamaliseche; zidzadya nyama yake ndi kumutentha ndi moto.
The ten horns that you saw, and the Beast – they will hate the Harlot, and cause her to become deserted and strip her bare; they will eat her flesh and utterly consume her with fire.
17 Pakuti Mulungu wayika ichi mʼmitima mwawo kuti akwaniritse cholinga chake povomerezana kupereka mphamvu zawo zolamulira kwa chirombo, kufikira Mawu a Mulungu atakwaniritsidwa.
For God has put it into their minds to carry out his purpose, in carrying out their common purpose and surrendering their kingdoms to the Beast, until God’s decrees will be executed.
18 Mkazi unamuonayo ndi mzinda waukulu umene ulamulira mafumu a dziko lapansi.”
As for the woman whom you saw, she is the great city that holds sway over all the kings of the earth.”
